Home Run (NSFW) Ft. Sohee
The winner of poll for Wednesday’s fic. Hope y'all enjoy.
Tumblr media
Sohee had always loved baseball for the entirety of your relationship. It was so all-consuming that you often wondered if she loved the "sport" more than you. You couldn't stand the sport however mostly because of its glacial pace, and lack of stacks in moment-to-moment play. Rugby was more your speed, but you learned the tells and watched 4 full seasons of Eagles games. at this point, you knew the sport almost inside and out begrudgingly, but you loved Sohee and she did make it worth your while. when watching the last game of the season you partially zoned out as a new game on the switch came out. so you were enjoying that Muted so Sohee could get the full experience of watching her team. As the game winded down you looked towards the stat sheet to catch up on what was going on.
"Ugh well, there goes our chance at playoffs." Sohee groaned indicating that both the game and her team's season were over.
Absent you say, "Their playoff hopes were dashed ages ago and until they do something about their offensive play then they will continue to fall behind the pack."
Sohee turns to you surprised, "How do you know this she challenged
"Well, defensively they are great 12 strikeouts to 8 is insane, they also had a similar number of at-bats, hits, and batting averages. the disparity comes in runs batted in and bases on ball which contributed to an early lead for the Giants that was just too much to overcome. You explained without looking up from your switch.
"but other games have been closer!" Sohee asserted confidently.
at this point, you look up from your switch to smile at your lovely girlfriend and say, "Baby I love you but your team finished 9 out of 10 in the rankings this year. I know you say it's not a "numbers" game and there is more to it than stats but in this specific case the numbers don't lie." To soften the sting you kiss her cheek.
Sohee smiles and says, "Since when did you become an expert on my team."
"Babe," you groan, "We have watched this entire season. Now I know they are not the same team as last year but at least for this season, they had offensive issues. That much is apparent with how many games ended in one-sided games of 7-2 or 8-0, or..." Sohee seeing your point kisses you before you start running more numbers off. Quiet as it's kept she would always get so turned on when you talked baseball. She was dripping wet when she straddled you as the kiss languished into a full make-out.
"Someone's feeling frisky." you tease.
"I just can't help it. When my boyfriend knows his stuff it makes me all excited." Sohee replies demurely, she would never admit it to you but whenever you started getting super into the stats and numbers her head would begin to spin with arousal and she always had to resist the urge to just drain you then and there. Today though you were both off for the next couple of days so she could fuck you as long as she wanted. She began the horizontal tango by pushing down on the couch as she began to kiss you more fervently.
"Um, babe I hate to kill the mood but can I ask that you give me one second to let go of the switch." You asked as she broke the kiss to breathe.
"hm," Sohee huffed.
"Hey I can't massage your ass the way you like if I don't have both my hands." you tease. Sohee smiled gleefully and let you go. you run to the dock to place your switch before going back to her, and she wastes no time returning to her attack on your body, but you are not merely prey. you counterattack her kisses of your neck and collarbone by massaging her bountiful rump. She mewls in pleasure eager to egg you on. As the two of you kiss her tongue is the first to explore your mouth. She draws you in and refuses to relinquish control as she has her tongue dance along the whole of your mouth. when she breaks the kiss to breathe a trail of saliva links the two of you together still Sohee licks her lips and purrs before unfastening your belt. You groan in pleasure as she fishes out your cock and begins to suck on it. you try not to push her down as her cheeks hollow and she takes you further than ever, but the comfort and warmth of her throat cause you to buck your hips which leads to a further loss of control as you begin to relentlessly fuck her throat. You watch as your girlfriend's eyes roll back as you continue to use her throat to pleasure you. the sounds of gags break the silence of your shared apartment, as she submits to you wholly and completely. You continue to use her throat with reckless abandon
You don't stop until you feel your release and cum down her throat. As you sense, you see Sohee stare at you with a look she has never displayed before. She gets up and smiles at you lustfully. "You like using me like a little fuckdoll?" she says with angered lust.
"You like just using my throat like it's your toy?" she pressures. She begins to corner you and of course, this leads to the bedroom. she pushes you down and begins to suck your cock again. you groan as she takes you down her throat, but this time it's different as she begins to manipulate her throat muscles in a way that's foreign but insane to you.
"Oh God," you scream as Sohee works over your cock. Sohee smiles and eggs you on
"You gonna cum for mommy. Come on cum down Mommy's throat like the good boy you are and I just might let you fuck my pussy." You can't hold out much longer as Sohee continues to relentlessly suck and gorge herself on your rod before you cum again, but she's not done with you yet. she begins to rub your cock to get it hard again
Your overwhelmed body barely can stop the moan of pleasure and discomfort as Sohee takes you inside. She smiles at Sickly while watching you squirm under her.
“Babe please stop,” you beg but Sohee begins to ride you oblivious to your discomfort she chases her high.
“Oh I just love how you fill me up,” she says as she begins her deadly body roll her tight tummy hypnotizes you as she continues grinding on your cock. She continues to chase her release despite your protests. You groan and wince as she pushes you further and further past your
limits, while she loses herself more and more to pleasure. Eventually, you pass out.
When you wake up your head is pounding as you feel something wet and tight on your crotch it's Sohee. She's passed out while you're still inside her. You chuckle and adjust so the two of you can cuddle together. When you get into a comfortable position Sohee nestles closer.
“I may not know baseball but you are my favorite home run,” you say as you fall asleep again

Jealous of Joe | Juraj Slafkovský
wc. 1.9k
Juraj's jealous when he sees you with another certain athlete
(sorry for the bad google translate throughout)
Tumblr media
You jog down the steps of Nationwide Arena until you're face to face with a wall of glass blocking you from the players on the ice. Your eyes roam the red and white jerseys, finding purchase when they land on the familiar number 20. You look over his figure, studying the way he skates down the ice with ease. He looks like he’s floating, stick down, looking for the puck, focused, perfect.
You and Juraj Slafkovský have been friends since the minute he was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens. As one of many social media managers, you became best friends with the whole team, finding safe spaces in Cole, Nick, Kirby, Kaiden, Monty, and most importantly, Juraj.
The first thing you ever bonded over was your mutual knowledge of the Finnish language. The two of you could converse for hours in Finnish and not even realize until another one of the boys finally gains the courage to ask about what you two have been saying. They even tried to use it to their advantage, asking if you understood what he would say in Slovak but you were no use in that department.
You try to snap yourself out of the trance you were in, looking around the rink to see what kind of media you could create before the game. You’re in the middle of thinking up a new question or tiktok challenge when you feel a presence next to you.
“They look good,” the stranger says from next to you and you don’t look over as you respond, somewhat hoping the person leaves.
“Hopefully they keep it up during the game tonight,” you respond, knowing the Hab's tendency for third period strikeouts.
“You think Caufield will score?” the boy next to you asks and you shrug.
“It’ll make my job easier if he does,” you joke and the laugh that sounds from next to you is so melodic it has curiosity leading you to turn your head.
To say you’re shocked by the man standing next to you is an understatement. After working in this league it takes a lot for you to get star struck by an athlete but you’re speechless, jaw dropped open looking at Joe Burrow standing next to you.
“Holy shit,” you blurt out and the older boy turns to look at you, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“I’m Joe,” he says, holding a hand out for you to shake and you can’t help the shiver that runs down your back when his hand slides perfectly into yours.
“(y/n),” you say, still not quite sure that you’re not totally dreaming. “No offense, but what are you doing here?”
His laugh has you smiling right along with him and you find yourself wanting to hear more of it.
“I’ve been meaning to come out and see a game for a while, meet the players and so on. I figured since I’m injured,” he takes the moment to lift up a carefully wrapped wrist in front of your eyes. “I would come and check it out.”
“Well if you’re expecting your fellow Ohioans to win, I apologize in advance,” you say and Joe throws his head back in laughter.
“Oh really?”
The two of you continue talking, trading jokes and reveling in each other's laughter. You were beyond enjoying the conversation with Joe and you almost forgot about the ongoing practice and job you should be doing.
Juraj certainly didn’t forget. During practice, a game, in the arena, out of the arena, no matter what Juraj always has an eye on you. The minute you stepped up to the glass during his practice his eye was on you, watching what you were doing, but more importantly, who you ended up talking to. Juraj’s furious and jealous gaze roams your figure, hating the way your head is thrown back in laughter, pink rising to your cheeks at his words, the slight, shy movements he knew all too well.
At some point his brain must have shut off because suddenly his body is barreling down the ice without a second thought. You’re mid sentence to Joe when a loud bang sounds in front of you and you both jump back in fear. You look up to see Juraj standing there, a sheepish smile on his lips but something different in his eyes. You shoot him a look that conveys the sentence “are you serious right now???” and Juraj waves awkwardly before backing off and skating away.
“Your boyfriend?” Joe asks and you jump at his voice, forgetting he was there for a moment.
“No, no,” you say, glancing at him before reverting back to following Juraj’s movements. “Just friends.”
“So, you wouldn’t mind if I asked you out then?” Joe asks and your body fully turns towards him at the question.
“I can pick you up before the game tonight? I have an empty seat next to me,” he offers and you grin.
“I’d love to.”
Juraj spends the rest of practice pissed and all the boys can tell. They’re even playing a game, seeing who can mess with him the most before he truly snaps.
Nick takes pity on him, the captain skating over to the young player. He follows Juraj’s gaze to where you are and watches as his eyes flame in anger when you smile at Joe.
“What's up?” Nick asks, vague enough that Juraj can tell him what’s actually going on or he can brush it off.
“He can fight?” Juraj asks and Nick fully turns to him in shock.
“What?”
“I’m gonna fight him if he goes out with her,” Juraj says, determination so deep in his eyes that Nick knows he’s not a force to be reckoned with.
Normally, before games you’re nervous for other reasons. Making sure you have enough content, tweets are loaded and ready to go, photos are edited and stats are ready to be posted. This time, your coworker is taking on those nerves while yours belong to the date you were about to go on.
You looked over your outfit for what feels like the millionth time and smooth out the canadiens jersey that falls over your body. You were showing up with Joe but still had Juraj’s last name on your back; the irony. Joe knocks on your hotel room door right at 7 and you let out a breath before making your way to the front door.
You were no stranger to Joe’s pregame outfits but you were shocked out how he could still look so incredibly good even in a simple t-shirt and jeans. His smile is blinding and while you know you should be swooning at the sight, you can only think about Juraj’s crooked smile, the way he looks down, not wanting anyone else to see the beauty.
You and Joe head to the arena, a short drive in his luxury car and he’s nothing but a gentleman the entire time. Your heart flutters from time to time but you’re not sure if it’s because of Joe, or because you're nervous to see Juraj.
You two take your time getting to your seats, stopping to grab drinks before heading down as the players are finishing warm ups. Juraj thinks he’s safe, that he won’t have to control a temper for the rest of the game but it all falls flat when he sees Joe with an arm slung around your shoulders in the front row.
“Leave it be,” Nick warns the younger player and he shakes his head, praying his focus turns towards the game.
The game against the blue jackets is physical, to say the least. The boys are playing like it’s a revenge tour and the game is tied for most of the time. Third period begins and Juraj is firing on all cylinders at this point. He’s finishing his checks, he’s rushing down the ice, he’s doing anything and everything to forget about you and Joe.
You watch as Juraj digs for the puck, a battle between him and one of the blue jackets players trying to gain possession of the puck. It sails down towards Nick and Juraj lets up, words clearly exchanged between him and the opposer.
“Careful before I take your girl out next,” the player sneers at Juraj and he’s officially seeing red.
You watch in slight horror as Juraj slams the player into the boards and fists go flying. The fight must last a quick 20 seconds but feels like a lifetime. You’re on your feet and pressed against the glass as Juraj gets up, a fresh cut on his cheekbone and his hair disheveled and hanging over his now dark eyes.
“Holy fuck,” you breathe out, watching as Juraj is escorted down the tunnel and some of the boys are casting glances in your direction.
“(y/n)?” you’re snapped out of your trance at Joe’s voice and turn to find him with worry and understanding in his gaze.
“I have to go check on him,” you say and Joe nods.
He leans forward, pressing a kiss to your cheek that explains all of his thoughts and feelings. You smile, a bit of sadness laced in the look, before parting and heading straight for the locker room.
You race down, surprisingly not getting lost as you run and you flash your access badge like your life depends on it. You finally come face to face with the locker room door and you take a deep breath before flinging it open, unable to stay away from Juraj any longer.
“Kto si, do pekla, myslí, že je? Sedí tam s ním a užíva si každú sekundu!! A ten sráč, ktorý-” Your brain flies a million miles an hour trying desperately to grasp the little Slovak language you know but to no avail.
“Juraj?” you call and the 6 foot 2 hockey player halts all movements before turning towards you.
“What are you doing here?” he grinds out, chest heaving trying to catch his breath.
“I wanted to check on you.”
“jebať ma,” he mutters angrily. “Go back to your new boyfriend.”
Juraj was torn clean in half between two sides. One desperately wanting you here, wanting you to stay and talk to him, to explain that Joe meant nothing to you. The other half of him is infuriated, feeling disrespected that you would show up now after flaunting Joe in front of him.
“What the fuck is your issue?” you snap, taking several steps till you're inches from Juraj’s face.
“Ježiš Kristus.”
That’s the last thing you hear before Juraj leans down and slams his lips against yours, the kiss lighting you end to end in a fiery passion. His hands wrap around your waist and pull you up onto your tip toes and press your chest against his padded one. Your body takes a minute to catch up and when you do, your hands tangle deep into Juraj’s damp strands pulling him close and begging him to never let go.
Unfortunately, humans need air and the two of you separate, panting heavily for a moment after. You fall back onto your heels and Juraj’s eyes search yours for a moment before speaking again.
“You’re my issue,” he says and before you can retort he shushes you. “I love you. You walked into my game with my name on your back but your hand holding his.”
Your eyes stare deep into his, your heart cracking at the idea that Juraj could ever be hurt by your actions. However, it’s filled back up when you remember him admitting that he loves you.
“Oh minun rakkauteni,” you murmur, pulling him into you again and reveling in the feeling of his lips on yours.
“It’s you baby. It always has been and it always will be,” you promise.
Juraj grins against you, the moment fleeting but lasting forever.

went to a yankees game last weekend and then saw challengers yesterday and now i keep imagining pro sports icemav. and i can't even pick a sport to focus on. like i want to see them in every sports universe to explore how their vibes and dynamics would change depending on what they're playing and how they compete. here's one that's been in my head (and pls let me know if you'd want more of these!):
pro baseball icemav who play for rival teams. mav as a rookie pitcher who's taking over the league with his fastball and cocky attitude. sure he's not perfect, but he's been regularly throwing 100mph, and he's had some really impressive pickoffs recently, and his strikeout count only goes up with each game, so people have started to take notice.
the crowd is especially tuned in when ice steps up to the plate against mav for the first time. ice is no rookie. in fact, he's flirting with a .390 batting average this season - a fact that cements his place as the best batter in the league. his form is technically perfect, he always keeps his eye on the ball, and fuck, can he put some force behind the bat.
as soon as ice's walk-out song starts playing, mav chuckles (he can admit the opening bars of separate worlds are a pretty fucking good choice, even if the whole thing feels a little dramatic), but he can feel his heart rate rising as ice gets comfortable at the plate. once he's settled, ice glances up, and mav feels a flip in his stomach as they make eye contact. the rest of the stadium disappears as they stare each other down. the spell is only broken when a particularly loud fan cheers his name from the stands, but mav can feel heat rise in his cheeks when he sees ice's knowing smirk.
in the end, mav should've known he never stood a chance. he gives it his all, throwing the ball as fast as he can down the line, but he can only watch as ice makes direct contact and the ball glides smoothly out of the park. he stands there, completely captivated, as ice jogs around the bases and waves to a screaming crowd. normally he'd be horrified by what that hit just did to his ERA, but for some reason he can't think of anything other than ice and his ass in those pants as he rounds third base. when he gets back to home the crowd is louder than ever, and it's in that moment that ice turns back to mav and honest to god winks at him.
mav knows instantly that the home run was ice's way of teaching him a lesson, of reminding him exactly where they both stand in the sport. the whole interaction drips with arrogance and condescension, and mav leaves with two key takeaways: god, does he want to strikeout tom kazansky, and god, does he want to get his mouth around his cock.

Chris Sale, LHP, Braves
Sale is sort of the ultimate risk-reward acquisition for the Braves. With him, their starting rotation can stand toe to toe with any in baseball. A healthy Sale as your No. 3 starter? That's a sign of a deep staff. Plus, his two-year extension provides Atlanta with a little bit of short-term stability if the team loses left-hander Max Fried as a free agent next offseason.
But the past four years have been anything but stable for Sale. A spate of injuries -- left elbow inflammation, Tommy John surgery, right rib stress fracture, fractured left pinkie finger, broken right wrist, left shoulder blade stress fracture -- have limited him to only 151 innings since August 2019. There were still flashes of greatness from him last season, highlighted by a stellar 29.4% strikeout rate over 102 2/3 innings, and there are things he can do to improve moving forward. But for this trade to work out for the Braves, they need Sale to do something he hasn't done often recently: stay on the mound. 🤨

Note
oooh this one is tasty: 26. Would you rather write a fic that had no dialogue or one that was only dialogue?
Mmmmmm, yes, had to chew on this one.
As a writer, I tend to be very introspective and into internal monologuing and long stretches of worldbuilding/exposition, to the extent that some of my earliest writing projects as a teen basically read like prep documents for running a DnD game, and my betas have to go through and strikeout all my adverbs and write SHOW DON'T TELL in big red letters everywhere. 😂
So, the no dialogue would definitely be easier for me. Both Gently in the Night and Light as the Breeze are pretty minimal on the dialogue, and looking them over, I could write out the few lines they have fairly easily. Those fics both flowed very easily and quickly for me when I first conceived them, and they would be the fics I'd point to if someone asked me to pick out my favorite short works.
On the other hand, I like a challenge! In fact, when I started What Do You Do With a Drunken Sailor, I specifically structured it to force myself to get out of my usual comfort zone, and so I made it dialogue heavy, with no internal monologues at all and minimal exposition. I just checked back, and in the first chapter, there's only two lines that aren't at least partly dialogue. That said, the dialogue tags, action and setting descriptions that I do include carry a lot of weight, and I don't often like reading dialogue-only fics. I often find them hard to follow. I can tell that they're really difficult to do well.
So long story short, it would depend whether I was looking for a real tough challenge or just a mild one! But the no-dialogue one would definitely be more my style and the resulting fic would sound more like "me,” I think.

Elise Cooper Interviews Jeff Fletcher
Sho-Time by Jeff Fletcher tells the inside story of the Los Angeles Angel’s Shohei Ohtani, a “two-way” baseball player.  From the time he started playing baseball for the Angels he has become a celebrity.  Shohei is a unique player, a unicorn to use baseball language, because he can pitch and hit, in the same game.  Ohtani just made history as the only player to be named to the ALL-STAR team as both a pitcher and hitter two years in a row.
Jeff Fletcher uses his own experiences to explain the Shohei phenomenon. As the writer for the Orange County Register for the last eight seasons, he uses his vast knowledge of baseball and the Angels to delve into the challenges, triumphs, and journey of this baseball superstar.
The book covers Ohtani’s path through Japanese baseball including a championship with the Nippon-Ham Fighters, to his desire to play American Major League baseball.  Readers get details about the recruiting war by Major League clubs, why he picked the Angels, Ohtanis’s 2018 Rookie of the Year campaign, the injury-riddled seasons, and his MVP year in 2021 with 157 strikeouts, an ERA of 3.18 ERA, 46 home runs and 10 triples. Most people believe that Ohtani is a dominant pitcher and a powerful designated hitter, a once in a lifetime player.
Elise Cooper:  Why is he considered a one-of-a-kind player?
Jeff Fletcher: There has not been anybody succeeding in such a significant degree as both a hitter and pitcher since Babe Ruth, who did it more than 100 years ago. Ruth was a pitcher who realized he was a good hitter and decided not to pitch anymore. He did not intend to be a two-way player the way Shohei has. He does not match up with anyone.
EC:  In the book there is this quote by Babe Ruth, “I don’t think a man can pitch in his regular turn and play every other game at some other position, to keep that pace year after year.” Do you think Ohtani will be able to do it?
JF:  I do not know the answer to that.  Since no one has ever done it, there is no precedent for it. He obviously has had some injury problems.  Hopefully he can be productive and healthy as he had this last year and a half. Everyone should enjoy it while it lasts. What Ohtani did was harder than what Babe Ruth did. The level of competition today in the Majors is so much higher, especially with the analytics and the defensive positioning. Yet, today no one could do what Babe Ruth did, playing outfield for four days and then pitching.  It has certainly helped Ohtani to be a designated hitter when he is not pitching.
EC:  How would you describe Ohtani as a player and a personality?
JF: As a personality he has a good sense of humor that can be seen through his interaction with his teammates, happy, and enjoys playing baseball. As a player he has so much talent, being able to pitch and hit at such a high level, which is incredibly difficult.
EC:  Is he a better pitcher or hitter?
JF:  I think he is a little better pitcher because he is more consistent. If someone ranked all the pitchers and hitters in baseball, he probably is higher on the pitcher list. Shohei has had stretches as a hitter where he has struggled a month at a time.  But he has never really had that as a pitcher, except for injuries.
EC:  He will be a free agent in 2024, do you think he will sign a new contract with the Angels?
JF:  It is hard to know the answer since there is no precedent how a player like this will be paid. The problem is no one can predict what his performance level will be like. Although this is true for all players, there is nothing to compare it to for him. Eventually his contract will need to have clauses and triggers, such as he gets paid x amount if he is a pitcher and a hitter or will be paid y amount if he only does one skill. I do think he will sign a contract with the Angels.  They know what they have in him, a great player and someone very good for business.  The only reason he would not sign is if he does not think the Angels can win.
EC:  Why do you think he signed with the Angels?
JF:  He did not decide to go with a team that had another Japanese player. This was and is not his primary goal.  His goal is what feels comfortable to him. He did not choose the Angels because they had this great winning tradition, because they don’t. It was basically the people who talked to him convinced him it is a comfortable environment to be in and this is still the case.
EC:  In your book you discuss Ohtani being managed by Mike Scioscia versus Joe Madden.  Who was the better manager for him?
JF:  Hindsight is 20-20 so obviously Joe Madden. He got the better performance out of Ohtani.  Mike Scioscia treated Ohtani the way he pitched in Japan.  He did not hit the day before or the day after he pitched and very rarely hit the same day he pitched. Also, they were under the impression Ohtani would not speak up if he were tired or needed a break.  All that was true at the time.  Now he says when he needs a break and when he does not, knowing himself a little better.
EC:  Why was he better in 2021?
JF:  He did a lot of training at Driveline in the winter before the 2021 season. This helped give him real hard data on what his energy levels were like. In that way, he would know when he needed a break.
EC:  Did he ever comment that he has an advantage being a hitter and a pitcher.  When he is hitting does he think like a pitcher and vice-versa?
JF: He has said he feels it is an advantage for him that he is a hitter and a pitcher. He sees the way pitchers approach him and the way hitters do it. He files all that a way. He has a nice perspective that other hitters and pitchers don’t have considering he is a two-way player.
EC:  Relationship with Mike Trout?
JF:  They are like other teammates.  There is a scene in the book how Mike Trout called him during home run derby and said just relax.  Mike Trout understood what the spotlight is like.
EC:  Will he be a role model for other children who come up through the system and will there be more two-way players?
JF:  I don’t think so.  What he does is so difficult.  A player would have to have a lot of physical talent.
EC:  In your book you quoted him saying that Home Run Derby was fun, but tiring.  Will he play this year?
JF:  I don’t think it had any impact on his performance for the second half of the season.  It makes no sense. Home Run Derby was on July 13th, and he started his slump on August 20th. This year, I am sure he can use the break so I do not think he will participate. Either will Mike Trout. He has never had an interest in doing it because he also wants to relax.
EC:  Do you think Ohtani and Trout are striking out too much?
JF:  Ohtani is striking out less than last year, while Trout is striking out more. First off everyone is striking out more than people would like to see.  Strikeout numbers for the last 15 years have gone up exponentially.  I think there are more strikeouts than hits, which is disturbing.
EC:  Where can people get the book if they want to?
JF:  Bookstores and on Amazon. It is available on Kindle and on Audio. It has been translated into Japanese.  I am doing a book signing in a little bookstore in Tustin, the “RV Company” on July 17th. People can go to my website, https://jefffletcherwrites.com/ to get the latest information.
EC:  Will this book appeal to all baseball fans?
JF:  Yes. People who are not Angel fans might enjoy the book more since Angel fans might know a lot of stuff. Anyone who wants to learn about Ohtani might want to read this book since he has done something that no one has done in a hundred years.
THANK YOU!!

STYLE & FORMATTING GUIDE
Dante Break is a self-aware character who represents chaos, changes, and cosmic horror out and in the narrative, challenging the conventions of fiction and non-fiction while creating endless loops of philosophical questions about reality and unreality. Keeping this character portrayal in mind, xyr blog is meant to be used as exploration and experiment with a variety of writing styles, text formats, and story structures.
Although icon borders, dividers, and such common roleplay aesthetics won't be used, this blog does rely on using symbolism and imagery to enhance the narrative or having convoluted text or graphic layouts to distort it, depending on the known contexts and characters present in a thread. The most prominent example of this concept that will be played on here is a weird metafiction House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski.
This blog does provide accommodations with only small and default text size along with moderate bold / italic / underline / strikeout usage, otherwise all heavily formatted pieces will have their accessible transcript versions on Rentry. If you'd like to be accommodated with your reading accessibility, please let us know via im, but do note distortion, disconnection, and disorientation are this blog's main writing themes.
COLOURS
While the colour choices are up to interpretations of the Audience, there are four colours used for four characters who are part of the narratives on Dante's blog:
Dante Break is highlighted as red
The Author ( our penames ) is blue
The Audience ( our writing partner's name or as a whole acknowledged ) is green
And the name of our writing partner's character is orange
It's necessary to use colour highlights depending on the point of view styles, such as our writing response may either be narrated as "Dante is walking to the park" OR "I am walking to the park". For another example, when mentioning your chararcter, it can go as either "[ character's name ] is walking to the park" OR "You are walking to the park". When only the Audience is being acknowledged in the narrative, you will be mentioned like this or even [ your penname ].
TEXT SUBTYPES
The text subtypes are used to differentiate the writing styles that are explored on this blog. The default text as being used now is a default storytelling style to the Audience.
Chat is used as a play script or interview formatting style.
Quote is used as a fourth wall breaking situation where Dante interacts with the Audience in a similar style of mockumentary.
Indented is used as an internal monologue or flashback of Dante's.
Lucile is used as a letter style, although this will likely to be rarely used.
☇ Accessible text version : Lucile is used as a letter style, although this will likely to be rarely used.
TEXT FORMATTING
The text format tools are used to emphasize or " remove " certain details or contexts.
Bold emphasizes the importance of details like names, places, and items.
Italics highlights certain emotions in the details, indicating joy, sarcasm, etcetera.
Underlines / hyperlinks will usually hold a secret message or meaning.
Strikeout removes and often replaces details that Dante doesn't want you to see.

These game changers behind the plate not only excel at controlling the opposition's running game with their quick reflexes and strong arms but also provide invaluable leadership to the pitching staff. The ability to call a game, block pitches in the dirt, and frame pitches effectively makes them indispensable assets.
Moreover, these catchers often come through as clutch performers in critical moments of the game, whether it's throwing out a potential base stealer, blocking a crucial pitch with runners in scoring position, or delivering a key hit with runners on base. Their mental toughness and strategic thinking set them apart, guiding their team through tense situations and securing victories. Catchers making a mark go beyond statistics; they leave a lasting impact on the game and inspire their teammates to raise their level of play.
Speedsters on the Basepaths

These players are game changers, capable of turning a match on its head with their base stealing abilities. Their lightning speed not only impacts the game but also puts immense pressure on the opposition's defense and pitching staff.
When a speedster takes off from first base, the entire stadium holds its breath. The excitement of a potential stolen base builds, and the anticipation adds an electrifying element to the game. Coaches strategically deploy these players to disrupt the rhythm of the opposing team, knowing that one swift steal can shift momentum instantly.
Observing these speedsters in action is a sight to behold. Their quick reflexes and ability to read the pitcher's movements set them apart on the basepaths. As they dart from base to base, it's evident that their speed is a potent weapon. Paramount bidder Byron Allen has long history of failed media bids
Byron Allen, offering $14 billion for Paramount, has a long history of media bids that haven't materialized

Byron Allen, the media mogul offering $14 billion for Paramount Global, told CNBC on Wednesday that he has the money to finance a deal.
Allen has a long history of making offers on major media assets, but few of his bids have resulted in sales.
His bids for linear TV assets come as the media landscape shifts away from traditional TV toward streaming.

"We have more than enough capital available to us. The real challenge is certainty of close," Allen said.
"This deal lives or dies at the [Federal Communications Commission]," he added.
Allen, the founder and CEO of a media group that owns dozens of television networks across the U.S., offered $30 billion for all of Paramount's outstanding shares, including debt and equity.
The Allen Media Group said in a statement the offer "is the best solution for all of the Paramount Global shareholders, and the bid should be taken seriously and pursued."
Allen has a long history of making offers on major media assets. But bidding doesn't mean buying.
His recent media buyout offers have failed to materialize into sales. The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that Allen last year offered $18.5 billion for Paramount, and was rejected.
Allen told CNBC he hasn't received a response from Paramount to his most recent offer.
Shari Redstone, who controls Paramount through her company National Amusements, has been open to deal-making in recent months in an effort to either merge or sell the company that's home to brands such as CBS, Showtime, Nickelodeon and its namesake movie studio.
CNBC reported last week that David Ellison's Skydance Media and its backers were exploring a deal to take Paramount Pictures or the entire media company private.
In December, CNBC also reported Paramount had entered preliminary talks with Warner Bros. Discovery to merge the two media giants in a deal that could have faced regulatory hurdles.
Allen's bid for Paramount is the most ambitious of the deals the media mogul has tried to complete. Here are some of his recent deal attempts:
In December, Allen renewed an attempt to buy Paramount-owned Black Entertainment Television and VH1 for a combined $3.5 billion.
In November, Bloomberg reported, he was weighing a bid to buy television stations from E.W. Scripps.
In September, Allen made an offer to buy ABC and several other networks from Disney for $10 billion after Disney CEO Bob Iger opened the door to selling the company's linear TV assets.
In 2022, he explored a bid to buy the National Football League's Washington Commanders.
In March 2020, he offered $8.5 billion to buy television stations owner Tegna.
Allen told CNBC via phone Wednesday that he lost out on several deals because ownership changed course on wanting to sell. He highlighted his acquisition of The Weather Channel in 2018 for a reported $300 million and broadly defended his track record, invoking baseball Hall of Famer Babe Ruth.
"Let's talk about Babe Ruth. Does he go down as one of the greatest baseball players of all time? And he struck out half the time," Allen said. In actuality, Ruth struck out 1,300 times in 8,399 at bats — a 15% strikeout rate.
Allen's bids for linear TV assets come as the media landscape shifts away from traditional TV toward streaming. Almost all the major media companies have launched services to compete with streaming giant Netflix.
Paramount reported in its third-quarter earnings report that its streaming platform, Paramount+, increased its subscriber count to 63 million. However, Paramount's direct-to-consumer products have failed to turn a profit like Netflix has. The division reported adjusted losses of $238 million for the third quarter.
Paramount will release its fourth-quarter earnings Feb. 28.
Allen told CNBC he wants to buy Paramount for its linear networks, what he says is the most challenging part of the company.
"These are still great businesses if you know how to manage them properly," Allen said.
Shares of Paramount were up almost 7% Wednesday and have risen more than 35% in the past three months as talks of a deal have ramped up. However, the stock is more than 40% off its 52-week high of $25.93 a share reached in February 2023.
— CNBC's Alex Sherman and Julia Boorstin contributed to this report.

Gerrit Cole has finally won the Cy Young Award
New York Yankees ace Gerrit Cole (33) of the U.S. Major League Baseball (MLB) won his first Cy Young Award after overcoming the pain of 2019.
MLB's official website "MLB Dotcom" said on the 16th, "Call received the American League Cy Young Award." He received a unanimous vote of 30 first-place votes in the Baseball Journalists Association (BBWAA) vote. It is the first award in 11 years since his debut.
Earlier, Cole stayed in second place twice in 2019 and 2021. But the third challenge was different. Cole ranked third in the American League this year (15 wins), first in ERA (2.63), third in strikeouts (222), and first in innings pitched (209 innings).
This is the 11th time that the American League Cy Young Award winner has been unanimously selected. Justin Verlander (2011 and 2022), Joan Santana (2004 and 2006), Pedro Martinez (1999 and 2000), Roger Clemens (1986 and 1998), Ron Guidry (1978) and Denny McClain (1968).
In the National League, left-handed pitcher Blake Snell (31) of the San Diego Padres dominated 28 out of 30 first-place votes. Snell won his second career Cy Young Award. Snell finished first in the ERA league (2.25), second in strikeouts (234), and tied for fifth in multiple wins (14 wins).
Snell won the Cy Young Award for the 2018 American League Tampa Bay Rays. With this award, he became the seventh player to collect the Cy Young Award in both leagues, following Clemons, Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, Max Scherzer, Gailrod Perry and Roy Halladay. 토토사이트
