In case it's not clear enough: this picture is official Sailor Moon artwork, I've only done some editing, in this case cleaning, adjusting the skin tone and removing the background.
There’s an interesting story that goes along with this particular Rei Hino recreation:
Some of you are already aware that I read the tarot, (and at one point, all of my SM headcanons were inspired by the tarot). And since I also happen to own the very popular Smith Rider Waite deck, I just had to recreate this iconic photo of Rei Hino holding up a tarot card from the manga.
The card she’s holding is the Star, which generally symbolizes being in a time of healing, be it physical or emotional healing. I was feeling sick over the last few days, and I definitely needed to take it easy (which is another reason why I wanted to recreate this image, because all I had to do was put on a wig).
The last time I shuffled my Smith Rider Waite deck was a month or two ago, and I couldn’t remember what order my cards were in. But I didn’t have to search for the Star card for very long at all — in fact, you can probably imagine my surprise when I saw that it was the very first card at the top of my deck.
I wanted to take a photo with the Star card during a Star time of healing and the Star was the first card that I pulled out of my deck.
I’ve been reading tarot for almost five years now, but even now, I still continue to be baffled by just how incredibly powerful the Tarot can be sometimes.
