gina met pitch from one of her girls at the club that went to the same university as him. would faun over him and tell her that she thought that pitch was gina's type or that they would look cute together

gina decided to go with the girl to the university to check out pitch because she was curious how he looked like with how much the girl would take to her about him.

she wouldn't call it love at first sight, but upon seeing him for the first time, she found herself immediately attracted to him.

they were introduced and became friends rather easily.

pitch would often visit her at the club when he had the free-time and they hung out a lot. one night after too may drinks they ended up hooking up with each other but neither thought anything would come out of it and didn't let it affect their friendship.

after a few months of talking a getting to know each other, pitch had began to realize that he was developing romantic feelings for gina and asked her out, and to his surprise gina had actually agreed.

not that she was really looking for a relationship at the time, but she had developed feelings for pitch and wanted to give it a shot.

they dated for two years, which, for gina, is a very long time. and while she did grow to actually love him, which, she didn't think was possible, she realized that she could actually see herself being with someone like pitch for much longer, which, was something she didn't want (maybe deep down she actually did, but that's another post for another day).

she didn't like the idea of long-term commitment/relationships, nor did she believe in marriage or true love for anything like that (her ideas about love/marriage are very skewed, sadly due to her poor relationship with her mother)

she didn't break up with pitch because she didn't love him, but the opposite actually. she knew that pitch was the committed type, and that he wanted a long-lasting and steady relationship and that in the future he would want to eventually get married and settle down, maybe even have kids in the future, which wasn't what she wanted.

it was something that they had talked about, and they had come to the mutual decision to breakup, even if it was gina that made the final decision because she knew that it would be more difficult for pitch to do so.

despite breaking up, the two are still on very good terms and continue to remain good friends. and after a few years, whatever romantic feelings they had for each other had dwindled and turned in to mutual love and care of each other that is platonic and see each other as family.

neither know this, but they're actually each other's "first love" which was a main factor in wanting to keep each other as friends despite breaking up.

single co-parent au/verse for both gina & pitch bc i've got it on the brain lately

in the time that gina and pitch were in a relationship, close to the time she was deciding to break up with him, she had found out she was pregnant.

at first, she was thinking about just getting an abortion and never telling pitch, but she knew that wasn't fair to him and he deserved to know. and if she ended up getting an abortion, it would be something they'd have talked about instead of just her impulse decision.

it took her about a week to finally gather up the courage to tell pitch about her being pregnant, and he was shocked, to say the least. the two were certainly not ready to be parents, and it wasn't something they had discussed either.

in the end, pitch said he would go along with whatever gina wanted since she would be the one carrying the baby if she decided to keep it.

however, after a few long discussions, gina had decided to keep their baby despite her negative feelings about being a mother and raising a kid on her own like her mother.

despite them having a baby together, gina had still made up her mind to break up with pitch, and she didn't want their baby together to be a reason to stay together when she wasn't even sure it was what she wanted.

even after they'd broken up, pitch made a promise to stick around and be there for gina and their baby even if they weren't in a romantic relationship anymore.

after gina gives birth, she has a moment of panic where she thinks about giving their baby up for adoption, but after holding her baby girl for the first time, she knows she can never part with her own child even if she's not ready to be a mother.

they named their daughter saengdao: which means starlight and often refer to her as just dao, which means star. they both also call her their little star.

for the first six or seven months after their daugther is born, pitch is around almost all the time to help out with whatever he can and so gina can also heal and recover and take care of herself as well as their baby.

as much as pitch wanted to be around more, however, he couldn't take any time off work so he started to be around less and less but he'd still always call or check up on them whenever he could.

after dao turns one, the two begin working on a schedule for them to take turns having her and trying to find a system that works in a way that they both get to spend time with her while still maintaining their work and life balance.

in the time that gina was home, she had someone take over her duties at the club, but it was only temporary and pitch could only work from home so much. though, it was easier to have pitch take her to work when he could during the evening/night when gina had to be at the club late hours as she wanted to limit dao's exposure to having to be in the club as much as possible.

both of their coworkers absolutely adore and dote on dao whenever they have her at work. the girls at gina's club will often ask to babysit or offer to look after her while gina's working while pitch's coworkers always fawn over her and will look after her if he has podcasts guests to interview, but if he's just doing his radio hosting, he will usually keep her with him while he's recording.

Pitch was always a vocal child even from the day he was born. His parents would often tell stories of how he'd always be screaming, yelling or crying when he was younger. It was stories that always made him laugh because even to this day, he's known as a loud mouth by just about everyone and that was where he got his nickname "Pitch." Though most would assume it's because he likes baseball, he'll always share stories about his loud childhood in reference to his nickname. When he got older, his voice deepened and he has a lower voice that no one expected out of him. When he was in high school he was the student that would lead the morning announcements. 

At first a few of his friends volunteering him as a way to tease him, but he actually ended up liking it and continued to do the announcements throughout high school with the help of other juniors through the years. Because of this, he developed a passion to want to pursue a career as a Radio DJ. At first his parents weren't exactly on board with the idea of their only son become a Radio DJ and didn't think it would make a stable career path. However, when they'd suggested he try engineering instead and focused on that once he entered college they could see how miserable he was doing something he didn't want to do or didn't have a passion for. He didn't do bad in his major, actually he did well but he just didn't like it. It was never something that interested him and it made him realize that much more that he wanted to become a Radio DJ. He didn't want to spend his life in a career he hated or didn't like. So after he finished his first year, he convinced his parents to let him switch his major to Communications and minoring in Broadcasting.

In his last year of university he interned for the radio program MUNforward. He found himself loving the work environment as well as his coworkers. He made sure that it was known he was interested in becoming a Radio DJ for the program if the chance ever came up. The company was impressed with his dedication and passion, so once his internship was up, he was offered a job. He was on probation for six months before he became a regular employee and was offered the position of Radio DJ for the program. After Pitch became the new host for the program it gained more popularity due to listeners loving his voice and even garnering himself a fanclub that call themselves Pitchies.

After being with MUNforward for a few years, they started to branch out to other media platforms and started to do podcasts, and Pitch was one of the few who jumped on that fast. It seemed fun and interesting and with the rising popularity of podcasts, he thought it would be good for him to give it a shot. It took about six months of development and trial and error for Pitch to launch his own podcast called Make a Pitch. He is the main host of the program and has conversational style podcasts where different guests are invited and they talk about different topics. At first they started off with different musical artists that were interesting in joining the podcast and then they branched out different people like celebrities, actors, authors, etc.

Pitch is a really easy going guy, sometimes goofy if he's comfortable around you, but he's easy to be around and very friendly. Aside from Radio DJing he does have a few other hobbies like hiking and swimming, he actually really loves nature and the outdoors and in his free time he loves to go on camping trips, sometimes with his family or friends, but he much prefers to be by himself and one with nature and likes the quiet time to himself.
