The bottle of fine whiskey is their joint vice, weary vision lingers upon the half-drained vessel as Ryou awaits for it to wash away the manacles of excessive restraint, wishing of his own silence to not be so heavy and eyes not be so hesistant to look upon the man nearby despite what was already shared in-between them. Misery loves company, one would say... Something they appear to embody well... Too well for them to not build their bond... Too well for it to not outgrow into different kind of pang... Mellow ache and fingertips meddling upon transparent facets of his glass, Ryou acknowledges Hanzo's revelation with only a faint turn to his side - even half-lidded, dark hazel hues are evident to keep within a gentle wistful shine.

Baritone comes out hushed, raw in its genuine softness yet somewhat detached when his sight returns back to the drink, this evening is all way too similar to the one they had a talk about the woes of his own past. ✧ For each “⭐️” I get, I’ll write a headcanon about our muses ║ @sasorikigai ✧

✧🔥 I don’t recall either of us ever writing an actual full-fledged HC about this, but I do like the idea of Ryou and Hanzo teaching each other non-combat skills at the time of peace, such as playing on musical instument, foreign language and painting. That’s exactly how both of them found out about Ryou being mildly colorblind, which made Hanzo to mark certain palette colors for the following period of tutorship.

✧🔥 For MK 2k21 - as soon as Ryou told Hanzo about where he buried his slaughtered clan along with the graves of Harumi and Satoshi, they planted white roses nearby the graves of Hanzo’s deceased family. Lately, the whole burial ground became a part of Fire Gardens, created by the hands of resurgent Shirai Ryu.

🔫💉 At times, Ryou steals away some of Hanzo’s junk food he leaves in the fridge in order to make his obstinate husband eat more of the healthier meals, while all the same not making it to go in waste aka consuming it by himself. However, Hanzo is always rather quick to find out about this and confront Ryou via hitting his sneaky gremlin butt with a pillow.

🔫💉 Talking about non-combat skills once again - aside of waltzing, Ryou was the one who taught his husband how to play piano. Hanzo was surprisingly prompt to acquire and develop this talent to the decent level of mastery via the lessons, provided both by Ryou and some outer sources.

Silly yet endearing… Preciousness of love, they need no celebration to express it, but it’s nonetheless uplifting to see the words that are put on this paper… As the palm that was propping his cheek cautiously lays down nearby the application, Ryou meets his husband’s sight with nothing but a sheer warmth, mingled with the share of amusement before he’d finally respond at what was handled to him right during the struggles with exhausting parts of his work.

h m m I think he'd rather craft something barely noticeable / not attention dragging when it comes to the summoning in particular (like matching rings or charm bracelets, the reason is likely him being concerned over Hanzo’s safety aka the wish for him not to be lured into some kind of trap in case Ryou’s blade with be taken/stolen/etc.), but I do like the idea of synchronized weaponry that allows to use what the power of their merged Arcanas can offer when put to use, so it’s the latter concept rather than former one for the arsenal :v

Omens of brumal season loosening their devastating clench, for so long it brought him nothing but a cruelty of recollections, making the soul in his benumbed body wither under the touch of morbid nival frigidness, so similar to the blinding hues that were painting the walls of intensive care ward. Illumination is bright yet bringing no warmth in its indifference, the hospital lamps were as meager as the hibernal sun... Hours eroding to minutes, that darkened winter was greedy to take and ruthless to return nothing but apathy and death... How blessing and painful it was, to find out that his heart is still more than simply present, aching and faded but able to be healed via the shine of aureate plenum as he would always strive to stanch and cure in return.

All the same, sometimes Ryou can still feel the oddity of phantom touch around his fingers,the soft grip of his late daughter’s little palm would cause a protective enfold in return the moment prior he’d realize his hand is slight to clench the emptiness of air. Cold mind tells of a mere muscle memory... Men like him are not the ones to believe in anything else, especially when the damaged spirit has its sorrow raging rather than gains much needed consolation, and yet... Ever-returning, perhaps this is a double-edged shard he cannot and shouldn’t let go of even as his own unseen wounds get alleviated right till the very next reopening, lessened in their frequency while the ghosts of woeful past would still find their reflection within the depth of his and his beloved’s mellowed sights.

Well-known voice taking him out of the heavied pondering, there’s nonetheless a light jolt as the sweatshirt gets landed upon his knees, causing raven-haired head to turn and look down even before Ryou’s eyes would manage to regain their cognizant gleam. Like a sleep paralysis, once it was much harder for him to focus quickly... Fortune born out from the joint heartache, Hanzo’s fire is an invaluable blessing for his erst numbed being... Arch of the sable brow, the examination is a forerunner of his visible smile and quiet cordial chuckle - somehow what never felt like his holiday grows to be even more welcoming and lovable.

The question riddled with notes of teasing, his glass is leisured to be placed at the coffee table in order to get his limbs free, making it possible to take off the home shirt and briefly flash one’s well-defined torso when he's quick to put on a new piece in his wardrobe. Does your muse like giving compliments?

In general, Ryou doesn’t mind to give compliments, as long as they’re not being forced out of his mouth aka all of his praise is always well-deserved and genuine rather than a flattery that would make his partners to feel better about themselves. Also, he’s not the kind that would give a lot of compliments about one’s physical appearance, at least not without proper bond, which is being born out of both his demisexuality and body neutrality (tho it seems to come from him much easier in Modern AU, but then again, it’s not probable for even modern Ryou to praise one’s physique until the actual dating + he’s way more into witty teasing in modern AUs than it’s for canon settings aka you know how he and Hanzo are lol).

How easy is it for your muse to say ‘ i love you’?

I believe neither Ryou nor Hanzo nor Kuai are the type who’d spill this easily, not because of how hard it is for them to say it, but rather of how much value this phrase actually keeps for the individuals akin them. At the same time, ‘I love you’ is likely to come through different means or words aka touch, gaze, compliments, rephrasing in general, etc. - it all depends on the strength of connection. The relationships between these three are not exclusion, and at the best case scenario it’s a mix of exact saying and indirect expressions.

What is one compliment your muse is dying to hear?

For Ryou in particular, giving how self-reproaching and modest he actually is, it would be the words ‘you are enough’ - not too much nor too little of him in the lives of his partners, just the right amount. It’s probably the only complimenting words he actually desires to hear Hanzo and Kuai saying to him from time to time, for they’re able to supress his inner doubts about himself and reassure his hectic mind.

What is something your muse loves being praised for?

He doesn’t mind to be praised for the very same things he usually praises his beloved ones for, aka his personal qualities and skills. And, again, he’ll actually take appearance / body related compliments only from the partners he has an intimate bond with aka obviously the category both Hanzo and Kuai belong to.

Does your muse like being hugged?

It depends on the individual aiming for a hug, but it’s quite obvious Ryou fully welcomes hugs from both Hanzo and Kuai, as much as strives to initiate such physical contact in return despite his initially restrained nature, though it’s still depends on their personalities in a way aka he’s a bit more open towards giving hugs to Hanzo and careful when it comes to Kuai at first, tho eventually the frequency evens itself out for both Ryou’s beloved ones.

Where could someone touch your muse to calm them down?

Coming from either Hanzo or Kuai, a gentle cupping of a cheek in order to meet gazes or a tender embrace from behind would be enough for Ryou to ease up the bottled up tension. Even such a simple gesture as taking his hand into theirs can somewhat soothe the experienced stress, just because of how tight the connection between these three grows to be (first with Hanzo and lately with Kuai, tho it probably depends on the verse) .

Is there anywhere on your muse’s body they want to be touched most?

Giving how touch starved Ryou actually is in spite of his reserved character and how close these three turn out to be? Everywhere aka he welcomes all kinds of affection coming from both of his lovers + I see it being the same with either of these himbos which is actually more than obvious lol

Does your muse find themselves subconsciously seeking out physical contact? ( ie. reaching for s/o’s hand without realizing it )

I do see such happening, especially so during the times of Ryou sharing a bed with his beloved ones aka during the joint rest. Such is fully evident with his somnolent self reacting at the given contact, e.g. if either Hanzo or Kuai will gently touch his face while he’s asleep, Ryou is likely to unconsciously nuzze into the caressing palm.

1. Who sleeps/sits in the middle? Do they switch? Usually, it’s Ryou who's a middle spoon, but neither of these three mind to switch places at times.

2. What does the bed situation look like? A queen sized bed that can fit all three upon with no effort needed obvs, at least Hanzo and Ryou purchasing it after they got into actual poly relations with their himbo onion.

3. Who fights more about stupid things and who ends up having to break up their childish arguments? Kuai butts his head with either Ryou or Hanzo the most, simply because he’s the youngest / yet to gather enough experience and tend to his own mental wounds. Much more rarely, but older himbos are also not immune to occasional fights with each other all the same.

4. Which two got together first? Or did they all start dating each other at once? Ryou and Hanzo married each other long before considering Kuai as their shared partner.

5. Who do people usually think is the third wheel? Kuai cos, again, older himbos got married before the start of their poly relations.

6. Who is the best cook? Who’s the worst cook? And who is the middle ground? I see all three as quite good cooks???

7. Who has been baned from choosing the movie because they have notoriously bad taste? Neither, can see their tastes actually being quite similar when it comes to the movie genres.

11. Who has to drag their partner(s) out to be social? Looking at how each is introvertic type, I think either would drag others simply to go out, extended socializing is not exactly necessary cos their company is usually enough for each other.

13. Who cries the most? A tricky question - even tho Hanzo is the most open when it comes to his own emotions, it does not mean Ryou and Kuai don’t have some heavy moments in private.
