idk what aesthetic is this but its mine
i love rpg maker 2000 sm T-T
"luna its old" THATS WHAT MAKES IT GOOD
but because its old it also has a few drawbacks
for one, its really hard to work with
♤ rpg maker 2000 uses a dated graphics api (directdraw) which microsoft gradually overtime stopped adding to their versions of directX, so now newer computers and graphics cards can't support it; so if you want the authentic look of rpgm2000 you have to have an older version of directX, or an older graphics card that supports it
thats why you might get directdraw error
my pc cant run my own games ;-; i have to downgrade my video card or use virtual machines LOL
i hate companies sm
♤ its also just hard to work with because its picky with the files it takes. for graphics it only allows for bmps and pngs, but they have to be in 8 bit color palette (256) or else it just wont show up;; for me i have to use a converter for all my images to work ;-;
the same goes for audio, it can be mp3, but if its not right it'll crash, so i stick to .wav or .midis
♤ rpgm2000 is also a little bit more limited in its capabilities, compared to the later versions with scripting and stuff, but i really like the simplicity. it means i have to be creative and make workarounds for the things i want to do;;
but other than that its really fun ^^ i found the assets that charon and other rpg maker games used and it looks super authentic
i even found the same music for games like ib, mad father, and dsp games I WAS LIKE YOOOO IS THAT OLD DOLL???? MAD FATHER MUSIC??? WITCHS HOUSE???
i feel so boss listening to midi files until my vlc player crashes
♤ and not to jump ahead but i was rlly curious how dsp made their maps and graphics so i decided to dissect wadanohara and was surprised;; they mostly used backgrounds with decoration tiles as opposed to making whole maps with tilesets; ngl thats smart.....
but ya rpg maker era soon
i wanted to have three games because two of them are satirical/parody and i wanted at least one serious authentic charon game and its pretty good so far :>>

its time, im in my charon era
ive made my first three rpg horror games :DDD
there's three because two of them are parodies and then there's one actual legit one
all three are in authentic charon game format: rpg maker 2000, similar art style, similar horror premise, short story
i did it for the aesthetic OKAY

the readme has troubleshooting solutions, and easyrpg exists to combat this, but it's not perfect. for example, it changes the text a little bit, which ruins the aesthetic
if ur like me and u care about the aesthetic a lot, then use a virtual machine, otherwise if you have a laptop and not a hardcore gaming pc, the game will probably run fine.
(the one time that having low quality graphics is good xD)

looking back akeno delusion sucks to me but thats cuz its my first one and i gotta start somewhere, the quality only goes up from there
eventually ill stop using rpg maker 2000 and make games with the other makers for more versatility but rn im in love with the retro aesthetic im so sorry

also just a heads up, im not 1 to 1 charon; the aesthetic, artstyle, and story elements are the same, but i dabble in male yanderes instead and i go different places with the story;

🌸 more focus on the horror aspect than sexual
so basically im like a female charon right now heheheh
i plan to make more rpg games, but for sure i want to make at least three more games with similar story beats.
its because i want my own take on the concepts -- doom stones is my take on makoto mobius, but i also wanna make a "scavenger hunt a person's house" type game like makoto nikki and a yanderella equivalent (but the love triangle has more drama)
AND…. MIX ORE BUT YANDERE BUBBLE TEA??????? :DDDD
once im done ill move onto dsp era cuz i wanna make some actual rpgs; like with the cute assets and pixel art

hello!! im currently using rpg maker 2000; so i don't really need any help with porting atm, since easyrpg is basically an emulator for said engine
perhaps in the future when i start using rpg maker mv, which seems more port friendly, as it uses javascript and html (idk how it works so we'll see);; i will let you know!

ayo im not dead!!
i've been sorta abstaining from posting on anything because i was trying to learn music theory on the side; cuz i wanted to make music so baddd
if i make my own music assets for games and stuff i dont have to use free ones and i can ebeg without feeling guilty im breaching some sort of law lol
i know enough music theory to get by; and i got a midi keyboard so the rest is just practice and learning what sounds good
from how people talked about circle of fifths i thought it was going to be impossible to learn, but it actually wasn't that bad lolol
but i gotta fix the keyboard cuz its got problems with fl studio :U
also ik if i wanna not be a nobody i have to post; but like its hard for me to consistent (obviously a skill issue)

game blog update!!
I really like posting these charon games as a three set, so im gonna do that again with my next ones
but i wanted to do a little shilling first so im not a complete nobody
i learned how to use after effects just to make fancy edits on tiktok ahahaha
so far the first game is like 60-70% done? the story is all written out and the maps are mostly made, i just need to finish up the endings.
also i need to move all the event buttons (because i didnt realize the event triggers dont have to be on the floor XD I WAS A NOOB OK)
anyways i also need to redraw some assets because i was working on this game before carousel and doom stones, and my art has drastically changed since then. i want this to be super pretty okok the mans needs to be very hot so i need to update it

i had a lot of fun making the maps; it was giving me the vibes of like… those dress up games where you're decorating a room or a house
ALSO I WHEN I WAS PLAY-TESTING I GOT JUMPSCARED BY MY OWN GAME BRO FFS

˚✧ i really love the impact media and stories have on the world and people, and there's a lot i love, but also there's a lot out there that frustrates me, or feels like it's missing something, so i wanna throw my hat into the ring and make my own content for me and other girls like me <3
˚✧ atm i write fanfics to practice writing and build an audience, and i draw fanart to improve art skill, also just so i have an art portfolio,,,, cuz if i just started posting games without much of a background i feel like ppl are gonna be like,, "who tf is this???" lol

i'm really interested in making my own games, specifically rpg maker ones because rpg maker/rpg horror/indie horror is my fav genre (pewdiepie's misao gameplay was my first horror game ever <3); i just love retro horror style a lot
so i'm practicing pixel art and stuff and then later i want to learn some 日本語 so i can translate the games, and also learn to make music so i can go full toby fox lol
and then maybe later on if i got rlly ambitious and had a lot of money id make fancy otome games, manga, fancy horror games, and pERSONA FOR GIRLS
i have a lot of ideas for diff series and id love to share them all <3

˚✧ game wise: currently my inspirations are charon (of those yan charon games) and dsp (ik they go by a different name now but that's what i know them as, also its funny because the name reminds me of darksydephil HAHAHA); i like the retro pixel and slight horror themes and aesthetic of their games, but i dislike the writing, so i'm gonna make my own :D
also i like the idea of an oc multiverse like dsp's so i want that too
toby fox is also technically an inspiration too; i wanna learn music so i can make my own bangers with little references and leitmotifs for fun :>>>
˚✧ writing wise: i have a lot, but my main inspirations are mostly like writing in the anime-ish games; danganronpa, persona, ace attorney, yttd, kakegurui; psychological stuff where you gotta think about them, but they also have unique quirky characters and they interact with each other in creative ways
also horror and psychological, i like writing about scary stuff and characters with their complexities, and addressing the rlly messed up parts of humanity and society bc its spooky;; sometimes with a very dark nihilistic outlook bc i love angst, or sometimes with an optimistic one
((thats kinda why i like yan stories but more in the horror sense, like look at all the crazy scary stuff this person is doing lol))
but for characters in general, i like stuff with FEMCS <33333 persona 3 with ya girl kotone shiomi, danganronpa v3 with kaede, sara in your turn to die, genshin lumine, and that one part in ace attorney where we get to play as mia fey
that's also why i lowkey like the writing in romcom/chick flick movies, cuz its just unique characters and stories and usually has a female protag or a group of girls as the mcs
LIKE MISS CONGENIALITY, MEAN GIRLS, AND LEGALLY BLONDE I LOVE THOSE MOVIES SM AND I HAVE MILLIONS MORE EXAMPLES BUT WE'D BE HERE FOREVER
but aside from heavy and horror stories, i also like simple cute straightforward stories like older barbie movies XD (or winx, mlp, bratz, monster high…); they're just really wholesome and cute where ya girl goes on a magical adventure with quirky characters and learns good lessons like trust, courage, friendship, etc…
ITS MUSHY BUT I LOVE IT AAAAA
so my main theme is being a girl and doing stuff, bc girlbossing is fun
but ya know i like making hot guy characters too wwwww

i'd say in general its like a mix of asian themes with western; its like anime but with western elements in it
i'd also sometimes like to explore other cultures too, kinda like how jjba has varying characters bc that's cool;; but if i have characters with varying nationalities its because i want to, not bc a woke person held me at gunpoint

this is just something i want to have just in case so i can weed out my target audience (audience capture basically), cement myself, and to avoid fights if i ever get into any lol
i got better things to do then argue like its twitter
⚠️ so if you disagree with any of these, to the point where it will bother you, please find someone else's stuff, my content is not for you ⚠️
☆ my main target audience are grills like me :D who are openminded and just want to consume stories with good plot and characters;;
☆ i'm a little edgy/traditional, (politically i'm like in the middle) and my takes may sometimes bleed into my work (if they're in my writing or art) and they might not correlate with mainstream opinions;;
ex: free speech/expression and true equality (i think opportunity and success should be based on ability and talent, not identity. im sigma lol)
ex: NUANCE EXISTS -- not everything is black and white, i believe you can like things from a person and also not condone everything they do;; and i do not take things at face value, i'm about skepticism and seeing both sides to a story
☆ compelling writing >>> relatable writing;; I'm more about writing stories for the plot, character relationships, growth, personalities, etc. the characters physical identity (ex; race) is secondary, unless its pivotal to the story;; i'm srry but i will always prefer an interesting character than a boring one that's supposed to be my representation
⚠️ basically: a character's race/identity shouldn't matter too much, because people can relate to a character regardless of what they look like ⚠️
☆ what i write or make will always be my choice. -- i will not be bending the knee to people who want me to change my writing or art (in a way i disagree with) or be bullied out of making content. my works are self indulgent, so it will have things not everyone will like. you can't please everyone, so i choose not to, and i only cater to my target audience.
if you like my work, then you like it, if you don't, you don't and go look for someone else to suit your tastes. (or be like me and make ur own stuff heheh) i'm not looking to change it to something i won't enjoy creating, because then i would not post.
☆ if you are prone to take offense easily, do not engage with me or my works, they will not be for you. -- i believe taboo subjects can be in narratives for the purpose of storytelling, because that's just a normal part of fiction. it shouldn't take away from the story, or reflect the author (unless they have a pattern of being weird, i guess?)
☆ i make content for a specific audience, so apologies if its not inclusive for everyone, please go look for someone else, there's a lot of media out there that's hyper inclusive, so i usher you to go find those (and i hope you do :>)
☆ Separate fiction from reality + Separate art from the artist -- I do not condone any dark content/themes depicted in my works. Any works done in fiction should not be adapted to real life.
☆ I usher viewers to be responsible when engaging with my works. -- I.e. if you're a minor you probably shouldn't be interacting with nsfw or media marked as mature. Policing what people see online is impossible though, so I'd rather not go out of my way to. I'm not liable if people overlook my warnings, ratings, or tags;;
supervising what you look at online is ultimately your parents job, not mine
(as of right now) I would rate most of my stuff right now for like teenage and up, but I do have stuff that I also consider 18+, so please try to heed my ratings/warnings/mature tagged stuff and block them!!
☆ please don't ask for updates or requests (unless i ask) -- i don't really have this issue so ty!
i don't really do requests because i usually just write or draw when i have an idea and want to see it through. i do my best when i'm motivated, in the mood, and doing what i feel like; i have nothing against requests, its just not for me ^^;
☆ my work might have plot holes, typos, errors, and ill try to fix them accordingly (unless there's a reason for it) and i'll try to complete works, unless i really have no motivation to finish them
same for my art, i'm still practicing so it kinda sucks rn but that's how progress works
☆ constructive criticism is welcome -- i don't mind criticism on my works, and i do read/hear them out. however, be respectful about them, and i will be respectful back (even if i have a differing opinion and decline requests);; that being said, i have a right to decline taking your advice if i disagree with your opinion.
