ㅤㅤ𝓐ugustus had heard of time travel from one of his acquaintances Amalia- having travelled to the past herself- but he never thought that he would ever have an opportunity to arrive in such a distant year. Everything looked vastly different than how he had previously seen it in the Victorian streets of London. His mind raced with how busy everything seemed as his eyes came into focus after waking in what seemed to be an unused plot of land with lines along the pavement- a parking lot- at least he wasn't seen.

Picking himself up off the ground, he stumbled to his feet and brushed off his clothes. His everyday wear was much more fancy than the people were wearing; from what he could see on a sidewalk about thirty feet away. Knowing that he couldn't simply stay in the street he made his way toward the street. It was loud, and since enduring a head injury whilst searching for the Galanthi, he found himself to be sensitive to noises. Not paying attention to where he was walking, he inadvertently bumped into someone, causing him to stop and turn to the other. ❝I-I'm terribly sorry. I didn't hurt you, did I?❞

Upon second glance at her features, he did notice that she was distressed as if she had just walked away from an uneasy conversation.❝Is something wrong?❞

He had just sent a flock of corvids on a few men that were coming out of the building after Amalia- but hearing her claim that it was a rocky start made him scoff. ❝Rocky start?      “--𝓒ome live with you?” Augustus nearly choked on his tea that he was sipping at, but luckily managed to lower it back down to the table that they were sitting at. “--At the Orphanage?” His brow furrowed with worry about what his older sister would say, she would surely have words about it. Lavinia had no idea he was Touched, so suddenly up and moving in with the lot of them when she already knew he longed to be with Penance? It was an outrage in her eyes! He was torn with his decisions that needed to be made. On one hand, he could start a new life with others like him, and be with the woman he had feelings for, or stay where he was, where his social status wouldn’t disappear, where his family ties wouldn’t be so harshly cut. “L-Let me think on it, yes? There is a lot to... consider if I do- do chose to move in with you.”

     “𝓜iss Adair... you are by no means an idiot.” Augustus said as he brought his hands up to rest in front of his torso, clasping them together, almost unsure about how to approach the distraught Penance. “It was an honest mistake... and you had no idea that it would take place.” At least not with Amalia around, even then, her visions were spontaneous and maybe it would be unrelated all together. There was no telling if she would actually see what was transpired. “Is there anything.... anything I can do in the mean time for you, t-that may help? If I may.” He stammered, brows furrowing slightly.

It was a silly thing to think that she wouldn't be in her own space. But tangled in wires, Augie gave a nervous smile to the woman he was courting. ❝I um... perhaps I should stick with my own Turn. I don't know how you know which cord goes where.❞ A light laugh left his lips as he tried to pull some cords away from his body. ❝I got caught walking through, and then um... this happened.❞
