Xaden / Ceana

⭐️ Everyone always spoke about Fen Riorson. No one else mentioned about how it was only him looking after his children. Xaden never had a mother figure until Ceana. While he doesn't outright call Ceana mom, he does refer to her as mother when talking about her. Mostly, because he was sure the Duke would be uncomfortable with it. They'd already took in two marked kids, he didn't want to push things more than he should.

Liam / Ceana

⭐️ Once the boys started bonding with Ceana. Liam felt comfortable to breakdown in front of the woman. While he still didn't trust her husband (though he was sure he must have his good points if Ceana liked the man), he trusted Ceana enough to let her in after waking up from the nightmares of watching his parents die, of his little sister being ripped from his grip and shipped off somewhere else. Ceana was the only person Liam let himself cry in front off over it all.

Liam / Xaden

⭐️ While Liam likes Violet, when she bonded with Sgaeyl's mate, Liam was really worried about Xaden. It's common knowledge that Tairn has had a number of highly powered riders, which means his bond with Violet will be the strongest bond the black dragon had ever had. A dragon without its rider is a tragedy. A rider without their dragon is dead. If something happened to Tairn, then Sgaeyl would perish too, which means he would lose his brother. it's why he readily agreed to watch over Violet for Xaden. Keeping her safe, kept his brother safe.

⭐️ He was so scared during Xaden's first year. Given Xaden was the eldest of the marked ones, there was no one older who could pass information along during Xaden's 1st year. Not being able to hear from him was terrifying, because what if Xaden was killed? Would he even find out? Would anyone tell him? At seventeen, that was a fear that rooted deep - what if his brother was dead and no one had told him?

⭐️ Liam and Kylia.

Liam / Kylia

⭐️ Liam had the BIGGEST crush on Kylia growing up. While he was pretty sure that she never noticed him, he always found her super pretty and was rather sad when she started at Basgiath before him and he didn't get to see her anymore. Though he's certainly grown up from a scrawny teen to a well built rider since then, and admittedly, to him, Kylia is still beautiful as ever.

⭐️ Liam & Xaden.

Liam / Xaden

⭐️ Liam struggled at first being around Xaden after the rebellion. Because on one hand, Xaden was someone he loved spending time with, but on the other, his father started the rebellion that got his parents killed and Sloane taken away. He felt at first, that acting like Xaden was his brother would be an insult to his sister. In the end though he couldn't help it, Xaden is his brother and that first year of Xaden at Basgiath was one of the toughest years for Liam, given he didn't' have Sloane and he couldn't even send letters to Xaden.
