5. Vanyllo/Tarinx

I've been trying to decide between these two since I started working on the other post, and I ultimately couldn't. Both of them are fucked up in more or less the same ways though, and while they wouldn't push the people they loved too hard to do bad stuff...it wouldn't be something they necessarily avoided, either. To them, it's just part of the way life is. Sometimes giving in and punching that person heckling you in the face is therapeutic, okay? Seeing the person who thought they could push your friend around beaten and bruised at your feet can be a thrill you don't find elsewhere.

The only reason they're so low is because a lot of what they would be making people worse with is violence alone, and not too much else.

4. Ezzion

Possibly ironic for someone that used to be in charge of people that were locked away for doing messed up things. Still, Ezzi has always been of the mindset that if you want something, you take it. You deserve it, so you should get to have it! What? Someone else has it though? Well that sucks for them, doesn't it?

The only reason they're not higher, is because they usually don't care too much what other people do, as long as they're not stopped from doing what they want to do. If they try to convince anyone to do something bad, it's usually for the fun of it.

3. Ber

Ber will almost always encourage the worse of two options, I can guarantee it. If it helps the one he cares for (or himself) come out on top, he's not above dragging anybody into his bs. A lot like Ezzi in the "You have power, why wouldn't you just take/do what you want?" camp.

Sometimes he'll even build someone up into doing fucked up things just so he can step back and blame them for something that he did. Serves them right for thinking he would ever choose them over himself. (though there are a couple exceptions that he would never do this with)

2. Pereux

...Please tell me what you expected from someone who used to be referred to with titles such as "The Monsterous Nightmare", "The Nightmare/Terror Queen", and "The Phantom Queen"?

She's not quite as bad as when she was still going by Mórrígan, and she won't act in a manner that's against something she has foretold happening...but outside of that? She's as bloodthirsty and dangerous as any of the Aos sí and Fae can be.

1. Death

They're honestly just a little nutcase. Absolutely batshit insane. And they have an energy that somehow manages to sweep up just about anyone in their shenanigans...regardless of whether they meant to be, or not.

Again, like Pere, I don't know what else would be expected from them. They're literally the final Horseman of the Apocalypse. They're gonna encourage some indulgence in the immoral whenever they have the opportunity to do so.

Lost my old ref post with Vanyllo's tail/fin stuff in it, so uh...here's that again.

When he's in his "natural" form, not his bipedal one, he's like...somewhere between 15 and 18 feet long. Does have gills at his ribs like that, and when he's on land he has small aquapacks stuck over them beneath his shirt to allow him to breathe.

Nomija (Nyl's species) usually inhabit really deep waters, so they also have a bioluminescent aspect to their bodies in the dark! Not gonna put a picture on here, but they do have two rows of small, but really sharp teeth.

I should probably also mention the masks that all Nomija wear most of the time! They're generally made out of bones, coral, sea glass, stone, shells, and other things that can naturally be found in large bodies of water. Generally, each Nomija has 7 or more masks that can serve different purposes from every day use, to celebrations, mourning, and other things!

Nyl's masks are generally kept fairly simple, since...wearing something super ornate and nice when it's just going to get covered in blood or broken is...not the best idea?

Nyl's, for the most part is going to be a very dominant top. And honestly, the only two I can think of off the top of my head that his answer would change for, would be if he was having sex with Melchior, or Alteo, in which Nyl will bottom for...and sometimes be a little submissive with them. But yeah, in every other situation, he prefers to be the one in control, and the one doing the penetrating.

So even when he has his legs instead of his tail, Nyl still has quite a few patches of scales on his body. They take up much of his back, his shoulders, the back of his neck, parts of his arms and legs, along his cheek bones, his hips and sides...but any spot where those scales meet skin? Those spots are very sensitive, and it's a good idea to target them.

🫶what does after care look like for them?

Nyl's the type that, if it's a one night stand, he'll probably clean up a little bit, with or without his partner. And after making sure there's not going to be another round, he'll leave pretty quickly afterwards.

With a lover or someone he's close with, he'll take a little while to snuggle in close to his partner, and just soak in that sleepy, all-over relaxing feeling. After that, he'll be bringing them to at least rinse off quick, and maybe grabbing some water or something, before going back to bed. He'll be pretty quiet through it all, unless his partner is talking to him; but he'll make sure his partner is nice and cozy, and close, and then try to get a little bit of sleep while he's still nice and drowsy.

Do they bruise/cut/scar easily?

Bruising, it depends on what form he's in! If he has his legs, yeah he bruises about the same as a normal human would in any place that isn't covered with scales. When he has his tail, any place that looks like it would be skin actually has really tiny, but thick scales that keep him protected from most blunt force...so while bruising is possible, it's really hard to achieve. It's the same story for cuts.

Scarring, however? That's pretty easy to do. If something manages to get past the scales and break skin? The scales don't exactly grow back nicely, and the skin isn't at all used to being exposed...so scars will form pretty easily if the injury isn't properly treated and healed. Nyl is pretty good about that though, so he doesn't have too many big scars!

How do they see themselves? is it an accurate depiction?

This is...kind of a tough one to answer. If this means how they view themselves as a person, Nyl doesn't look upon himself very highly at all. After all, someone that has to resort to murdering others in order to support themselves? He can't even use the excuse that he "only kills bad people" or anything like that either, because he knows for a fact that there have been a lot of good, innocent people that have met their end by his hand.

So while it's hard for him not to just see himself as a murderer, his views on his personality itself are actually pretty accurate beyond that? Rough around the edges for sure, but he also knows that beyond those edges, he's a lot softer than he'd like to be.

Are they sensitive to brushing their hair?

A little bit, yeah! He brushes his hair every day, so he doesn't have to deal with it much, but if it gets really snarled or knotted for some reason, he'll be a bit of a baby about someone else trying to brush them out. Little hisses, or irritable grumbles any time the brush catches even slightly!

I got hit with the sudden urge to do Tank/DPS/Support/Healer for the muses yesterday, and so that's what we're doing now, strap in y'all. (Just 10 at a time though, because god knows I'm gonna end up rambling about some of them longer than I meant to, and if I did all of them at once it would be the length of a soccer field or something)

Jaspern - Pure DPS; phys (He does fight with a big fuck off scythe, so midrange usually) with a little magic-- usually death oriented magic that has the added benefit of a slow but constant strength sapping effect on those it hits.

JJ - DPS/slight support; phys (He fights with his dual-bladed spear, Ahzeel more often than not these days, but is a nightmare with just about any weapon in his hand), uses more magic than Jas does, though that's usually for the support side than outright attacking.

Ber - Support/Healer; doesn't really like being part of a fight, so he will bubble himself at the back of the battlefield, and just focus on buffing and healing his comrades. Side note, but just because he's not a DPS, that doesn't mean he can't DPS. Piss him off too much, and he'll be insta-casting about 50 meteors at the back of your head in 2 seconds flat.

Melchior - Tank/Healer; my dude really is like a weird sort of paladin. Technically, I feel like he doesn't have the defense stat to be a full-on tank, but he's that type that doesn't want to have anyone else on his team get hurt, and he can mitigate damage with his healing easily enough, so here he is. Making himself the tank anyway. Damage is phys/magic balanced.

Eluvias - DPS/Tank; Luvi goes absolutely berserk in a fight, which is why DPS is primary. He pretty much just leaps at whatever is attacking, and starts shredding regardless of if he's taking damage too or not. That's evidently why he could also be a tank. Even if he's hurt, it's like he doesn't notice it, he just keeps going until he legitimately can't. Technically he can use magic, but usually he gets so carried away with the physical side that he forgets to even use it unless he's really in trouble.

Zahine - Healer/DPS OR, pure DPS. Zai is pretty much the healer with a gun meme. Usually he'll stick to just healing, and will pick people off with magic-based DPS here and there...but man. MAN. If he goes pure DPS it's because he's angry, and then whoever is against him is better off just running away, because he's not above fighting dirty, and he's completely ruthless. Especially when the charming powers start coming out-- that's when even Io and Luvi (Or Pythius, in the few times that he's fought alongside Zahine) just take a big step back and let Zahine do his thing.

Orin - Pure support; they really couldn't fight well to save their life (literally, in this case), still, they actually are capable of using quite a bit of magic that can protect allies, or essentially debuff opponents. Baby doesn't wanna fight though, so please don't make them.

Vanyllo - DPS/occasional Support (surprisingly); his main focus is always going to be DPS, but if things are going south, he's trained pretty extensively to be able to use his magic for all kinds of different traps/ensnarements, so he'll dip into support sometimes, too. Can also use magic that limits opponents range of sight and that sort of thing.

Darrow - Tank/DPS; one of his domains is protection, after all! Aro knows how to take a hit just as well as he knows how to draw (and keep) an enemy's attention on him, to keep some of the heat off of his allies. On top of that though, he's very accurate with both sword, as well as fang and claw, so the amount of "critical" strikes that he tends to land on his foes means that he has a pretty high overall damage output too. Primarily phys damage, but he tends to bolster that with fox fire and divine damage, as well.

Eleare - Tank; another one that might be surprising. Most of the reasoning is just because they feel it's easiest to control the flow of battle from that position, but another reason is that Eleare has a lot of magical abilities that create barriers for themselves, can diffuse or weaken some magics, etc. So they're pretty tough to land consistent damage on. Most of their damage is more close-ranged magic, but they're not shy about getting more physical with their claws or fangs, instead. Or, what usually happens, is that they just shift into a massive fox/dragon/hawk/what-have-you, and they just go ham like that.

🤔 THINKING FACE — what are some of your oc's quirks/mannerisms?

Okay, this is kind of a tough one honestly, if only because Nyl polices himself pretty harshly in that regard. Which I guess is a mannerism/quirk in and of itself? A lot of things about how Nyl presents himself, from his posture, to his movements, his expressions and tone of voice-- it's all very carefully curated to be as overall "neutral" as possible.

Even when he's doing that though, he does have a few little quirks that tend to show through in some manner or another. For example, if he's relaxed, he tends to slouch back into his chair when he's sitting, and loosely cross his arms over his chest. When he's standing, it translates to leaning back on one leg more than usual...though it should also be noted that his hand is also never very far from somewhere that he keeps a blade hidden.

Another would be the way that, when he's talking, he'll sometimes emphasize his word by dragging them out more. For example, "What are you talking abooout? Of cooourse I'm being serious.", which tends to give him an overall sarcastic air when he speaks.

When he's with people he's closer with, one of the major things that change, is that he actually talks with his hands quite a bit. Not any grand gesturing, but small waves, and sweeps, and such as he talks.

When asked, the man simply raised a brow, as if confused. "I don't know what you're talking about", he replied with a frown. "I've never had a child at all, let alone a son."

The woman, on the other hand, is quick to look away. Her face a mix of sour distaste, and guilt. She recalls a young boy, clumsily swimming off to look at a school of fish that had caught his eye. Recalls how, when he was sufficiently distracted, she had turned and swam away from him. "...I have no children, either. I've never been the type of person that would be able to look after someone else-- let alone a baby."

With any luck though, she thought, he would have died quickly out there in the depths. Or even less likely, someone more capable-- more patient-- than she had found the little blue haired boy and taken him in themselves.

- Jaspern: Tried to kill Jas one time, and they've been buddies ever since. (75/25) - JJ: He's known JJ since the kid was in the womb tbh. (50/50) - Melchior: If he's around Io, his mask is off. Always. Used to be engaged. (100/0) - Darrow: Least close of the drinking buddies. They bicker a lot, but if you talk shit about either of them, they're immediately reaming you for it. (50/50. Maybe 60/40) - Pythius: Met officially through Io, though Nyl had done work for Py before that. Chaos bros. (75/25) - Eleare: Kind of depends on if they're currently "hit it" or "quit it" at the moment. (40/60) - Niesal: If Nyl ever claimed he had an actual protege, it would be Nesa (50/50)

Other: - Ellaria: His daughter. Very few people know about her though. He rarely wears a mask around her. (90/10) - Arrebu, his grandson. Very expressive with the baby. SO expressive with the baby. It's precious and I live for it. Even fewer people know about Boo, though. (90/10) - Zahine. They're murder buddies. Also that was...sort of gonna be his in law for a little bit there. (75/25) - Eluvias is his unofficial little brother. Again, was gonna be his in law for a minute. (90/10) - The ex-Elyki members that now work for Io, too. He's been working with all of them for a long time, now. (40/60) - Alteo...similar to Eleare, depends on if they're fucking. Unlike Eleare, Nyl actually gets along with Teo outside of sex, though. (70/30) - Tee, Alteo's son. He's known Tee since he was a baby. (50/50) - If he's having sex with someone, the mask is off. That's also kind of the exception to the last post too, in that people he's sleeping with have seen him more expressive than he usually is.

My muse with the most face claims is Vanyllo, by far...all because he has a bunch of different masks, and won't let me use one masked fc for him for more than a little bit at a time. So I have to cycle through like...five of them. And then his regular face, which tbh, he (purposefully) polices his expressions with most of the time anyway, so the face most people get is a very passive frown. Maybe a tiny smirk or a brow raise. If anyone gets anything more than that from him, they're lucky, and it means he really likes (and trusts) them.

His voice is the same way. Pretty, but very flat in tone. Even when he's joking, it's generally easier to tell by the pacing of his words, than the actual sound of them. He does have some tonal emphasis, so he's not entirely droning when he speaks, but there's very little emotion behind his words, most of the time. Again, unless he really likes someone...in which case he'll be more expressive.

Unlike his facial expressions, which can start to vary fairly widely at that point, however, his voice is-- while still a noticeable change-- not nearly as varying. This is because the native language of the Nomijans (and a lot of species that live/grew up in Atlantis) doesn't rely quite as much on vocal modulation as some other languages do.

Muse lingerie preferences!

Jaspern - Prefers his partner wearing lingerie; doesn't really care to wear it himself, but will if his partner really really wants to see him in it. Likes lingerie more than specific outfits, tends to prefer things like body suits or corsets that are tighter to the skin.

Very much a thighs and booty guy, so anything that accentuates either, or both (garters, stockings, a thong, etc) is bound to get a good reaction out of him. Doesn't lean too much toward any particular material, though Nel once wore a leather and lace piece that he liked very much. It was probably more because it was a bit complicated to remove though, so she left it on the whole time.

Pythius - Has no preference on if it's him or his partner wearing it, and honestly, he's the type that usually wears the more stylistic briefs that have cut outs or see through pieces on it pretty much every day. Also has no preference on if it's lingerie or an outfit. The virgin killer sweater is definitely the type of thing that's very effective on him. Cut-outs, my friends.

Likes different materials for different things. Lace is nice to rip through, and the covered-but-not element it can give is nice. Silks and similar fabric if it's something strappier. Sheer is nice if it's more robe or babydoll style. Leather is always eye catching, and nice for bonds/collars, etc.

Melchior - Honestly don't think he's ever worn anything that could be considered lingerie in his life, though if his partner asked, or he knew they were really into that sort of thing, I feel like he'd be willing to try! Tends to prefer lingerie, but having his partner a skirt/dress/one of his shirts and no underwear around the house or something would be a big hit for him.

Prefers sheer, or similar to Jas, something that can be worn the whole time. Shape and type doesn't matter too much, but uh...collars, restraints, blindfolds, gags...he likes that kind of thing a lot.

Darrow - Actually prefers his partner naked, tbh. Maybe something like...stockings, or some body jewelry, but he really just enjoys admiring his partner as they are. The whole "wearing just a long coat or robe with nothing underneath" vibe would really get him, especially when his partner just...drops it right in front of him.

If his partner does wear lingerie, he prefers sheers and silks, and typically more draping or flowy shapes!

Vanyllo - Prefers a sexy outfit to lingerie. If it's something that can be worn while they're out together, even better. He'll spend the whole night sneaking in quick little brushes against exposed skin, or watching the way their top dips even lower when they lean in. Stuff like that. Wouldn't wear any himself though-- honestly some days wearing regular people clothes is enough for him lmao.

I think another part of it is because he feels like the lingerie is removed or ripped off almost right away when he sees it anyway, where he can admire a special outfit all day if he wants to.

A random headcanon for y'all on this chilly morning, about how the muses walk with their s/o!

Jaspern is the type of person to, while walking with his s/o, keep a hand in their back pocket, to keep them close to him. Very effortless and smooth, but also affectionate. Same with Io, I feel. Also JJ, because he grew up seeing Jas do that, tbh.

Pythius is similar, but he's more likely to hook his fingers in his s/o's belt loops to tug them over, before putting an arm around their waist or something. If he's walking behind them, he'll do it if he needs to "steer" them a little, or wants them to slow down. ("I want attention", essentially) Aro, Zikiriel, and Sarakael also do this one, on occasion.

Aro and Eleare will curl their tail (or a few of them) around their s/o, or drape one over their shoulders. Or will alternatively stand/lay on their s/o's shoulders in their little fox forms.

Cilatyve actually doesn't care too much for flat out holding hands-- he uses his to navigate too much to feel super comfortable with that, especially if he trips or something. Instead, he likes to coil his tail around their thigh, wrist, or arm. Arin and Jaey, if their tails are out, will also curl the end around their s/o's wrist or thigh when walking. Otherwise, it's more common for them to just coil around their s/o entirely once they've settled from going somewhere together.

Zikiriel will, instead of wrapping an arm around his s/o, keep a wing curled around them sometimes. Keeps them close, and gives them a bit of privacy on top of that (he's not a fan of people staring at his s/o, sue him)

Nirbhi, Ezra, and Sarakael like to keep their hand their s/o's back while they're walking, or occasionally rested on their shoulder. That way, they and their partner can walk at whatever pace they want! But if something happens, it's easy enough to tug their shirt or give them a little nudge or something to avoid or draw attention to whatever it is.

Enoch, Pereux, Bleddyn, and Shilo tend to shift positions when they're walking with their s/o a lot. Eno and Jinnie tend to walk slightly behind, Bleddyn slightly in front, and Shilo not really having a preference...but if someone unknown approaches their s/o, or they go to pass someone, etc, they'll automatically move to position themselves between the other person and their s/o. Actually, Kade also fits here. Huh. That's a lot more muses than I'd thought would be put here.

Baphomet...man, I don't know. He's clingy. As always. Please be careful not to trip. Niesal can surprisingly also get like this, when they actually fall for someone, so I guess it's hereditary.

Sivel and Alsina, when walking around with (or especially traveling with) their s/o, their wings will almost always be buzzing in a very specific pattern. It's sort of announcing that they're with their person. And that they're excited, because they're going somewhere. With their person! They don't even realize they're doing it, honestly.

Fele and Laisren tend to do the more refined offering an arm to their s/o. Keeping them at a slight distance, and separating to take their hand instead to help them down stairs, or over a curb or puddle, or whatever else.

Zahine (and Kade and JJ, during the times that they're not in their other categories) likes to do the closer linked arms thing. Where he has one arm linked with his s/o's, and he's leaned on them or encouraging them to lean on him a little while they walk. Makes it easy to sneak a cheek kiss or something in, if he wants to!

Ber, Eluvias, Ezzion, and Vanyllo tend not to touch their s/o much while they're walking. Luvi, because he's used to not being able to touch people much without them being hurt by his poison. The other three...mostly just because they don't want to, for one reason or another. All four of them do constant check-ins, though-- looking back at their partner frequently, or engaging in really brief touches, to make sure they're doing alright. Another thing they tend to do is that little "curls their just the tips of their fingers with their s/o's" thing whenever they stop or slow down. As a sort of "I'm still with you" thing.

List of Realms, pt. 2

I'm gonna split the big, average, and small class realms in half, just to keep it manageable.

Class 4 - Large Size

Atlantis: Out of the realms I have, it's the only one that's 100% covered by water. Yeah, there are shallows that can be walked around in and such, but they're pretty few and far between...which, between that and the climate/weather itself, makes this realm pretty inhospitable to non-aquatic beings. Also a living realm! The Pirodeti primarily stays within the heart of the realm, but isn't shy about speaking to/making their voice heard to anyone that's in the realm. Small side note that Vanyllo and his species, the Nomijans, are from here!

Brinnela: Okay, so these were originally broken up into 4 small-average sized realms; Setia, Ahnia, the Aifaen Plains, and Vasyri. But I changed it recently to where they're all the same realm, because doing that fixed some kind of...plot hole-y things that popped up. This is the first realm ever created, and because that means it was created before the Pirodeti were even around, it's actually a dead realm. The Pillars of Creation are what sustain it, and are worshipped in place of gods by a vast majority of people in Brinella.

Celaeon: This one is Kei's (@feraecor) baby that she's been working very hard on lately. It started off as Kamii's (JJ's mother, after being reincarnated) birth realm a waaaaay long time ago, and now Kei's building a lot more on it! Extremely magic dense, to the point of being dangerous/toxic to a large portion of different species. It's a living realm that was, for some reason or another, thought to have been dead for quite some time-- likely due to the fact that the Pirodeti embodying the realm tends to keep to themselves overall. Majority of the species that are now considered native to Wilacri (a realm that will be mentioned in another group), actually began here ages ago.

Gaea/Mortal Realm: Uhh...self-explanatory, I feel like? In my headcanons though, it's one of the realms with the highest population density, highest number of deities and pantheons, and highest variation of species living on it! (If not the top realm in those categories, tbh). It's a living realm, but the one embodying the realm depends on the verse. Most often, it's either Rosa's (@soraeia) twins; Allisae and Avelan, who took on the title and duties after their predecessor, Gaea. Or Kei's (@feraecor) Gaia, who is the original Pirodeti that first created the realm. Either way, the realm is usually kind of hanging on by a thread. orz
