setting : the feast hall of winterfell, the hour is later and less people are wandering about, by the hearth, sylvi cerwyn spots one of the princesses and approaches her to talk (this is sort of flashbacky since it's during the war) ; starter for @daceystvrk

the walls of winterfell were cold to the touch, frigid upon lady of cerwyn's fingertips as she grazed them upon it's smooth surface as she wandered. sleep did not greet her easily these days, her children had long gone to bed, and there seemed to be a sort of tension that filled the air. so much had already been lost, so much uncertain. sylvi tried not to think of her own husband, of her dear friend brandon, of cassana...

she inhaled deeply, filling her lungs with the smell of firewood, ale, and stew as she entered the feast hall. she was both surprised and not to see others still lingering, mostly women and elder men. many spoke in hushed tones, perhaps either do to the lateness of the hour, or the topics of conversation. surely they all had someone they worried for, too. sylvi only hoped that all of their troubles would soon cease, that things would settle down quickly.

near the hearth, she spotted one of the stark princesses, dacey, the one who had always been quiet, a flower amidst the snowy landscape, frozen in time. she was kind, though, and likely racked with worry. "your grace," sylvi spoke softly as she approached the other, taking the seat next to the young woman, extending her hands to the hearth and flexing her fingers as she felt the coldness melt from her limbs. "how are you faring?" it was perhaps a silly question, but sylvi had always had an approach of getting straight to the topic at hand without talking around it.

“ haunted by the dead . haunted by the living and the graveyard of memories they leave in our head . how terrible it is to love something that death can touch . “

as a child , wendy loved the jewel-like pool that was mermaid lagoon. now, however, the thought of stepping foot in its waters makes her skin prickle & throat close up — though, she can’t fully remember why the sudden aversion came to be. in its stead, she found comfort within the graveyard.

the girl didn’t realize that’s what it was at first, thinking the stones & wooden markers to be props for one of the lost boys various made-up games. someone had to clue her in on the morbid history behind the secluded site, though that didn’t hinder her from slipping away there frequently. it’s quiet & remote enough, tucked deep in the forest, that she tends to successfully avoid any bother from the boys . . . or unfriendlier creatures laying deep within the island.

there, in that special, sacred spot, she reads her books & writes her thoughts, or, occasionally, letters to her loved ones ( offered to neverbirds or tucked in glass bottles & sent to sea in hopes they miraculously, magically find a way to their intended recipients ).

often, wendy reads aloud. after all, within those sad, shallow graves lie children who will never grow up. children whose eternal souls will always be young at heart. some may think it a delusional waste of time, but was she not brought to neverland as the lost boys’ storyteller ? dead or not, lost boys are lost boys; she will give to them her love, eternally.

if only. if only. if only she knew how many “ wendy’s “ laid beneath her feet, too.

Las causas de la mayoría de los problemas ambientales se resumen en la actividad industrial humana; ya que Monterrey es conocida como "la ciudad industrial" es común que se encuentren grandes empresas, lo que resulta beneficioso para la economía pero un gran problema para el medio ambiente. Del mismo modo, al momento de usar el vehículo para desplazo se liberan grandes cantidades de dióxido de carbono. Cabe destacar que hay aglomeración de vehículos, especialmente en avenidas importantes como Gonzalitos, Miguel Alemán, López Mateos, etcétera.

Acciones a fomentar para ayudar a la disminución de la contaminación

Dejar de producir plásticos en exceso, aplicando la regla de las tres R´s en donde podemos utilizar los recursos de mejor manera; esta se trata de reducir el consumo, reutilizar los materiales y reciclar la materia que pueda ayudar a crear nuevos materiales.

No desperdiciar la energía eléctrica, cuya producción implica generalmente quema de combustibles fósiles.

Reciclar los materiales diarios que de otro modo irían a dar a la naturaleza. Incluso se pueden ayudar al crecimiento de las plantas con creación y utilización de abono.

Dar una disposición adecuada a los desechos químicos riesgosos y ser estrictos en las políticas anti-contaminación de las grandes industrias y manufactureras. En casa puede aplicarse como, en caso de hacer utilización de aceite de cocina, evitar tirarlo al drenaje debido a que puede contaminar el agua. En cambio, puede guardarse en envases para tirarlos.

Disminuir el uso de los automóviles e invertir capitales en la búsqueda y desarrollo de tecnologías eco-amigables. Esto quiere decir que, en caso de tener una salida que está cerca de casa, pueden tomarse las opciones de salir caminando o en bicicleta en caso de contar con una.

Aportando un granito de arena en la conservación y el buen manejo de los recursos naturales somos capaces de bajar el índice de contaminación en la ciudad, lo que provocaría que a futuro las siguientes generaciones puedan seguir aprovechando de los recursos con los que contamos en este momento. Así también, afectaría en la economía y en la salud de buena manera, teniendo una vida mejor y más digna.

there was a vast difference from standing outside with the air so chilly it burned her cheeks, though she was more than used to it by now. it seemed particularly cold out these past weeks, but sylvi did not feel her usual self either, often a warmer presence, with a fiery spirit to match. it did her no good to mope, but there was a strong desire to join the fight that she struggled to find satisfaction within the safety of stone walls.

warm air from inside of the great hall seemed to wrap around her like a blanket, she inhaled the sweet smell of wood burning in a hearth, and emerlad hues looked over to see her children playing with others, the watchful eye of many mothers seated around them as they spoke to one another. normally sylvi would find herself amongst them, but she decided to seek refreshments before she did.

clay knew that should be news to exactly no one , but apparently it needed to be said again anyway . for the life of him he couldn’t figure out why jeff was consistently determined to drag him into whatever cliche teen debauchery was planned on any given weekend ; it wasn’t like his charming & outgoing personality was going to add to the ambiance . in fact it was almost guaranteed he’d just embarrass himself - and probably jeff by association .

but he was also weak ( maybe especially in the face of jeff’s disappointment ) and sometimes that led clay to make stupid decisions . like the next words out of his mouth .

“ but look , how about - if you get higher than a c+ on this essay , I’ll think about maybe coming . for like , an hour . ”
