roadhog’s dreams are usually nightmares, when he has them. he’s usually so exhausted when he finally DOES allow himself to sleep that he doesn’t remember the dreams he has. when he does dream, hog has a lot of ptsd flashbacks to the omnium explosion, or fragmented moments from the slow, heartbreaking process of his son’s death. 

he’s not really scared to sleep as much as wary of not being awake. he doesn’t like being so defenseless.

he doesn’t get enough, and is a borderline insomniac. )

FAVORITE CANON SHIP(S): n / a FAVORITE NON-CANON SHIP(S): MercyRoad, QueenHog, RoadRat, RoadFrog, ReapHog, Total Meihem ( Junkrat / Mei / Roadhog ), a few Roadhog / OC ships.  OPINION ON TRUE LOVE: Doubts people’s intentions too much to believe such a thing could exist or be sustainable. People are too fickle and too selfish to ever really completely love someone. OPINION ON LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT: Nah. HOW ‘ROMANTIC’ ARE THEY?: My old answer for this was ‘secretly, very’ and ... yeah, I’m sticking to it. He’s got a lot of love to offer, even if he lacks the words to fully express it. Otherwise, I think the big thing with Roadhog is that while Mako wants to get better, and seeks out partners that drive him to improve himself, and Roadhog wants to get worse, seeking out partners that drive him further to the brink, no relationship with him can last in a long, meaningful way if someone can’t make peace with both presentations of his personality. That is, if someone can’t love both the scarred, angry one-man apocalypse AND the tired, worn-down old farmer, then they probably won’t be with him long. AVERAGE RELATIONSHIP LENGTH: His longest relationship was with his ex-wife, which ended up being on and off again for a pretty long time. Other than that, his relationships tend to be pretty casual, if they even begin at all. He’s had a few hook-ups, but in general it’s not really his thing. pretty far, generally. BUT i’d really rather not portray roadhog as an abuser. i definitely do think he’d struggle in an intimate relationship, but i’m just not interested in writing him as being that particular flavor of horrible. also pretty uncomfortable with cheating/infidelity most of the time.
