awhile ago i made maya pose for some reference photos for this page batch and im finally at the point where i need them so im scrolling back thru my photo roll to find them. august. i took these reference photos for this page in AUGUST.

one of my more frustrating traits for myself is that I have spent so much of my life deeply immersing myself in One Piece Of Media For Years that I really don't have anything that can be called "taste", just a collection of facts and opinions about like one thing at a time. I have no variety and it is a significant effort to get me to experience something new instead of the same thing I like for the twentieth time. and I am very aware that this is one of the worst things you can do to yourself as a writer.

spent so much time trying to do cage warping to emulate the old analog tv fisheye and it barely shows; I completely forgot to add a 15 degree 3d perspective transform that was immediately obvious once I posted it phoenixheadinhands
