WOULD LOVE TO HEAR ABOUT IT!!!!
Ehehe giggles cutely twirls hair okay hold on I'll get out of tumblr before it crashes and I lose a few hundred words of progress /stumbles and trips into a random note app/
/comes back crawling out/ WOW this is long now that I've actually. put my ideas down
It's still a loose idea but I think it's silly and if you have thoughts on the actors or what the characters should because of your brainrot throw it my way !! I think it would be interesting.
Anywho, for the most part I'll be basing their names off of their stage actors, if not I'll use their jp voice actors and figure out how to deal with names later. If this ends up in search well im sorry. There personalities and relationships are out there too so. yeah
TEMPO - bpm
Based off of the actual theatrical group "bpm," TEMPO is a small group of members that of playwrights, actors, entertainers, etcetera etcetera. Three of which include:
Shintaro Asanuma - Izanami
Writer and director of the show, also handling the supporting role of the gas station attendant that ends up having cameos sometimes. Good friends with Masashi, Masami and his sister, Kana, also has a bunch of connections akin to a mafia boss. Kind of did the show pitch on a whim and dragged others into it haphazardly for being laid back of the sort, but takes the production very seriously and pushes through. Mainly focuses on being a playwrights but often takes on actor roles—they're also taking up a few voice acting roles too, both of which they're versatile enough to take on many roles that encompass a normal actor on amount and variety.
Masami Itou - Tohru Adachi
Got dragged into helping Shintaro with his production that managed to get greenlit but he kinda saw this coming—he ends up getting credited as "assistant director" a bit later. Subsequently dragged his sister he dotes on to help and star as one of the lead roles as the love interest also kind of not really. Almost as much of a clown as his character he was casted into writing most of the jokes and comedy that usually involves him, but he's well experienced in his field and takes pride in the acting art. Almost in the same boat as Shintaro, focusing on writing for the most part while doing a bit of supporting roles here and there with a bit of voice acting gigs on the side (they ended up voicing characters who are friends in one franchise).
Masashi Taniguchi - Ryotaro Dojima
Also dragged into Shintaro's newest production as the detective amidst their a murder mystery. A little bit more rowdy than his calm and collected role while Masami usually ends up being the voice of reason among the three of them—unless he gets into a silly argument with Shintaro while drinking together. He also smokes a lot less than his character as he's a family man with a lovely daughter who's also been casted into the show, still, as his daughter. He's an actor at heart while more theatrical based than the other two, while already having played a handful of lead roles consisting of various gruff and ruthless characters. He misses those as he's had to tone it down a bit for this character in particular.
Akemi Taniguchi - Nanako Dojima
Daughter of both her father and his role in the show. She doesn't aim to be a child actor, but she admires her father nonetheless and ended up taking up Asanuma oji-san's offer to play as Nanako, even being warned it was a pretty big role to play. She's a star in her school plays and still studies dutifully and lives her life as a kid. What's there for her to come after this show?
Then there's the other guys affiliated with different agencies yadda yadda I'm not that well versed with the entertainment industry I'm just a borderline butai fan!!! /waves arms around/ anyway here are the other guys i think—WHICH will be undercut I didn't think I would tackle majority of the cast already WHOOPS
Kana Itou - Marie
A kind and soft spoken girl, a talented artist and currently a rising star who's made her actor debut through her brother's friend's production as a brusque and anti social (tsundere) amnesiac of a girl. While depicted as a dainty young lady and even being a gentle person at heart, she does her role magnificently, but she contrasts even greater in proximity of her annoyance of a doting brother that it becomes comedic. The twin gags are funny and all but you can't forget the good old polar opposite siblings. It's a marketing strategy (nah man she hates him fr it's a sibling thing).
Speaking of twins I tried but I still haven't found a name for Teddie and Kagu yet but they're also twin actors. just throwing that out there. Also Shadow selves are deepfaked sometimes don't you love that good ol cgi.
Tohru Baba - Protagonist (Hayato Asakawa)
A prodigy from when he was a young, great with acting and has a hand with fight choreography, even being adept in kendo while he pursued acting as a child. He's the lead role for this show and takes great care of the cast whenever he can. Especially the supposed love interest (or how everyone's been calling it) as he feels certain looks shot straight at him from the assistant director when he's not looking.
Takehisa "Mae-chan" Maeyama - Yosuke Hanamura
A charismatic man focused on the stage, he wonders how he'd look like through broadcast camera quality besides the TV interviews with watermarks and logos plastered everywhere on the screen. For whatever reason complications happens with his contract in the middle of the show leaving it in a dip but apparently that's resolved peacefully. A humble fan of Kana while the two get along quite well, despite his own character being the girl-crazed type of adolescent (but his crush dies in the plot..?).
Minami Tsukui - Chie Satonaka
An athletic and perky woman with great flexibility who specialises in stage stunts. She's almost just like her character! Though she studied karate as a kid than kung fu, but she'll make do. Despite the almost sudden change, she gets along well with both of Yukiko's actors.
Risa Yoshiki - Yukiko Amagi
The first of Yukiko's actors before the contracted ended and didn't end up getting renewed (whoops).
Yumi Sugimoto - Yukiko Amagi
Yukiko's actor in the later seasons. Said to be a lot more attractive than the last actor, but she humbly rejects that claim.
Yoichiro Omi - Kanji Tatsumi
One of the youngest (and tallest) in the cast just like his character! He has a less aggressive personality, while he's rather friendly and upbeat almost reminding you of a dog. He enjoyed the bleaching process as it was required his hair would be like that for the show, while he even colored it when the show went on break from shooting.
Yuriya Suzuki - Rise Kujikawa
Scouted from being a magazine model, a skilled one at that. Her acting prowess was put to the test as she was casted into the role of a highschool idol. She shivers at the reality of idols in Japan alongside her anxiety for being casted into such a role without much experience as others, but the director says she'll be just fine. She retorts as she says she actually has quite a bit of stage fright as to why she didn't take up catwalk modeling (she's not tall enough?). She humbles herself greatly and is a bit flustered in Kana's presence as she herself is a fan of hers. But they get along together just swell, unlike the rivalry they have written for their characters.
Arisa Nakajima - Margaret
A friend of Shintaro who was dragged into their mess. She's a professional wrestler who ended up being scouted as a dainty lady in a car who can't serve the limo alcohol to her only guest because he's a minor? But she did have a few favors to owe a good friend, so she put on the frou frou getup and bleached her hair (she was told she could wear a wig but she said it could give her gigs a bit more flair). She tried coaching the choreography for fights once, it went a little too far and should have stopped the moment she complained about the breakaway props...
Yasuhiro Roppongi - Taro Namatame
A well known actor good at coordinating teams and a specialist at action on screen acting. As he's promoted to action director, an old friend calls him up for help in their newest production. Who's he to refuse someone like that? While he's playing a sad, devastated man walking in the rain, he's waving sticks and running around green rooms in silly dotted suits.
I THINK THATS ALL I GOT ???(IM SORRY TEDDIE IM SORRY YUKIKO IM SORRY NAOTO!!!! Naotos a band kid though if you want a (1) Thought) HERES SOME BONUSES
Kaede Aono - Labrys
Studied fencing and mentioned in an interview she exclusively auditioned for the movie duology because of the character's knight aesthetic and that she carries a large axe. Hopefully she'd do anything other than wave around a rapier in the other western period dramas she was in and when she got the OK, she was more than thrilled to swing around a masterfully made axe on set. In the sequel and meeting the new cast, her pun prowess proved vital while she suddenly made and shared many as liberally as one could expect.
Yuuki "Tomoyuu" Tomotsune - Sho Minazuki
Nimble man who may or may not ad-lib too much for his own good, but he's a bit dry with wordplay than one of his actual roles. While his take on "unhinged" certainly takes the cake, maybe take it down a bit? (he won't). Getting his wig styled and put on along with the makeup for the movie every time makes him a bit restless, not to say he hasn't experienced anything worse. He's stylish and swooned over as an actor. He loves his fans and tweets in micro blog entries with emojis here and there while posting on Instagram showing off a new piercing he's had to hide for most of the productions he's been in.
GOODNESS THIS WAS SO MUCH LONGER THAN I THIGUUT I HAVENT EVEN GOTTSN TO SILLY IDEAS AND IN DEPTH DYNAMICS DAMN for context on what i know, I follow masamisan and tomoyuu on twiger oh as well as bpm's account and kasuyasan and yojirosan . Most of the other actor info were from the visualive official blog and the others were stuff I pulled out the top of my head but then again you dont know which is which but anywho
literally made this au bc I sat down once and thought 'I've been here for two years I should make an actor au' and the immediate first thought was make iznmi the director it would be so funny. The second was make adschi and mari actual siblings and have them beat the shit out of each other.
I have other ideas a lot a lot maybe another night though hope i provided some insight 🐿
