obviously aspect pairs have connections but i think conceptualizing them as different ends of the same spectrum is a mistake that limits peoples' ability to classpect effectively. a prince of breath is STILL a breath player; blood just factually isn't their domain, even if their actions might incidentally result in the creation of blood. a destructive class does not "create" their opposite. the destruction of mind does not necessarily result in the creation of heart, or vice versa. a prince of heart is not a sylph of mind.
the clearest example of this, to me, is space and time. destroying time does not create space as a result; the concepts have connection but they are not linked to eachother in that sense.
thinking about aspects like a binary spectrum also ignores connections they have with non-"canon" pairs. space and void, as well as doom and hope, are opposed in a similar way as their canon pairings (space/time & light/void; life/doom and hope/rage) and ignoring those types of connections really weakens the ability to define them. aspects have so much more potential than a single point on a line, and analyzing a heart player as "a mind player with a grudge against heart" does so much disservice to actual analysis
