The hallways & rooms still have the fresh scent of carpet glue and fresh paint. I personally love those smells. It’s nice to lay in a mattress that is still flat. Only the Starbucks nearby is also new, it’s just fast food nearby I’m sure that will change as this exit is where the traffic is ALWAYS dead stopped on SC I-95. So if you’re sitting in traffic, you can get your night’s rest here or hit the fitness room or outdoor pool in the warm months. Breakfast is included, standard Marriott travel hotel offerings. T’s I’ve seen this year and by far the best with several floors of figures. (I have a Merlin entertainment pass) This one has both American & Latino musical artists, tv and movie sections, a Marvel section, and even a hall of leaders space. The fashion, broadway, and sports rooms could use a lot more figures as many NYC icons are not represented. There are a couple bars inside, very New York. There’s so much history that could be included, as there is plenty of space. The physical decor is pretty immersive. This is part of the real history of the nations land that everyone should know about and be taught in schools. It’s a small museum that highlights different natives and their art, traditions, and locations. We have lost so much information by the white washing that occurred. Thank you to all the kind and knowledgeable people who work here and to those who have donated or contributed to create this museum. This should be a national landmark and there should be museums like this is every state to honour the tribes who lived here with no boarders or property lines (or taxes!) We usually access it by free through the Calico basin, park and walk vs just drive and miss the true experience. Other than the other hikers and rock climbers, this place is quite. Wear blue or white and lastly red to get the full contrast for pictures and selfies. A trip here you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend. It’s interactive and there could be more. A costume for each of the main characters. The mannequins you can see for free in the lobby/gift shop which is another place you can’t leave without buying one really cool overpriced souvenir. It’s neat but if you miss it, it’s ok. The staff are studying the species and seek assistance to keep this working school & show going. I hope after the change over of ownership that Hard Rock sees the value and keeps working with this special research space.
