i really dislike how comfortable people have gotten with gender...they recognize that it's totally reliant on external factors and ends up oppressing women, but they refuse to take the next step: nullifying it, undermining it. in that sort of future where gender doesn't have a hold on people like it does now, being trans wouldn't make sense because sex would not just not equal gender--gender would be extinct, and there would ONLY be sex. making new pronouns would be unnecessary because pronouns wouldn't carry any implications or "vibes" like they do now. we've gotten too comfortable on this step to gender abolition. we need to keep going forward with this.

I think one of the hardest things to wrestle for me is the way that women and young girls are groomed and manipulated around sex. I remember being a kid and when my mom would have a reaction around nudity or the topic of porn, I would immediately mirror my brother and dad.. I laughed at her for being prudish and over dramatic. I was a fucking kid and it’s still one of my biggest regrets being so dismissive. I could tell she noticed when my brother made fun of her. Of course it stemmed from being victimized, and of course I now have the same triggers because the odds are so soul-crushing. I haven’t met a woman yet that hasn’t had sex, porn, or men’s depravity used against her. And it all starts so, so young.
