Question for fic writers: do you find it weird when people comment on every chapter of a wip as it comes out?

Ha! So the truth behind that WIP is that it has very little work. Just some vague outlining. It's based on a tumblr post that was one of those text message memes of Yancy saying "I'm always right because I'm older, wiser, and have a bigger penis" and then a picture of Raleigh glaring (from the mess hall scene with the Hansens). And my two ideas were either going to be five times Yancy tries to defend his (wrong) position with the fact that he's older, wiser, and has a bigger dick and then the one time he IS right; or I was just going to do a crack one shot where that's basically the punchline. OR where it doesn't quite end there and everyone just stares at Yancy and Raleigh is like "ALRIGHT WE ARE TAKING THIS ELSEWHERE" and proceeds to show Yancy that having a bigger dick is less impressive than being able to take a bigger dick so shut up Raleigh is right, Yancy.

Sigh. Yeah that's about as far as that one got was the planning stage. I may poke it more in the future.

Currently Watching: the now-Amazon-Prime Expanse series. Love those books. The new season is pretty good although they’ve definitely taken some liberties. 

Currently reading: Oh god. Uh. A boatload of different fics (I have too many tabs open...), the second book in this really wacky queer high-fantasy series (the first book was called Red Heir, this second one is called Elf Defense, very silly and a decent read and absolutely worth the kindle price), and also rereading the entire Foundation series by Asimov (1: because I love it because I’m a nerd, and 2: in preparation for the show coming out on Apple+ some time this year)

How’s it going? IT GOES. This is a very interesting time to be working in public education. <_<;; But hey I signed up for a fic fest to try to get my writing muscles back, so we’ll see how that goes! Hopefully well! I got the prompts I wanted so...yay! Also I just finished another chapter of a WIP but I have 3 more to go (2 are very very short) and I’m going to finish them ALL before posting... but... PROGRESS!

So I just finished Love, Victor and I may have a dumb question: JUST HOW OLD ARE BENJI AND DEREK ANYWAY???

Benji's license said he was born in 2002 but this supposedly takes place the year after Love, Simon (which i believe mightve been set in 2017? But I could be wrong????) and that was based on SVtHSA which was set...a while ago. So like. I'm GUESSING it's not 2020 in the show? But...Benji. Is he 15? 16? 17? 18? He mentioned that he's been dating Derek for a year but that he got drunk and had the Wendy's Incident™ before he came out so. Supposedly he was driving – drunk – over a year ago, so at 13-15, so possibly without a license (maybe he'd just gotten a permit??? Some states let you get those at 15). Although...he says that incident got his license suspended. SO. He clearly had it at the time. Which would've made him 16 (minimum; I don't know that Georgia will let you get your license before 16 although Victor apparently had his license at a freshly-minted 16 so probably already had it at 15 so???? I guess we're ditching that level of realism?) over a year ago making him 17 now... but is he in Victor's class or??? And if he's 16 then like. There no way his license could've been "suspended" a year ago??????? Even so, like. I'm wondering because Benji's age becomes kind of relevant as we look forward to a potential future in the show????? And it seems to have largely been handwaved away????????

Meanwhile. Derek. At the Spring Fling he said it felt weird to be at a high school dance. Meaning he's probably in college. So. Minimum of 18, possibly 19. I'm guessing (hoping????) he and Benji started dating when Derek was a senior in high school? But if Benji is 16 and Derek is 19 then. I. I don't even know. I'm not gonna get further into that until there's more information on their ages.
