Shikamaru waited patiently, tapping his foot on the floor as he watched the clock. Any time now, his son would be coming home from the academy. And since Naruto was so kind as to give him the rest of the day off, he figured he would spend it with Shikadai. Especially since it had been a while since they had done any father/son bonding.

          Calm eyes glanced around the room, searching. For what, one may ask? He didn't know but he was sure that when he saw it, he would figure it out. And that's when he saw her. Her hair, so rich and yellow gold, was pulled back into a messy bun atop her head. The formfitting black dress she wore hugged each curve of her body, leaving nothing to the imagination. Minimal makeup decorated her sharp features, allowing most of her natural beauty the chance to shine through.

          A smirk pulled at the edges of his lips as he watched her sway on the dance floor with who he assumed were some friends she had come with; the drink in her hand lapping at the edge and spilling slightly on her skin. She was beautiful, and pleasantly alluring; more alluring than any other woman he had seen around these parts for in quite some time. 

          "This should be interesting," he murmured to himself, folding one leg over the other as he continued to watch her taking occasional puffs the the cigarette between his lips.

          Shikamaru, always thinking ahead, had stopped by a grocery store on the way back to his apartment. He did, after all, live closer to the bar that she had been at than she did considering that her apartment was almost an hour away from his. Besides, he was tired and it was almost four in the morning. He wanted to get to sleep as soon as possible.

          Grabbing the bottle of aspirin from the center console, he turned off the car, un-clipped the seat belt, then nudged the sleeping blonde to get her attention. It took several tries, but then she finally woke up and turned her head to look at him.

          "I got you some aspirin for your hangover," he murmured as he stepped out of the car, closing the door behind him before crossing over to her side to help her out. Slinging her arm across his shoulders, he carefully closed the door as he turned and made his way towards the entrance of his building, making sure to lock the doors behind him. "I got ya, let's hurry up and get you upstairs. You need to sleep, maybe eat something too."

          He wanted to ask her why she had done this to herself yet again. But right now wasn't the time. His first priority right now was to get her upstairs, give her something to eat if she needed it, then get her to go to sleep so that she could sleep off the affects of the alcohol. The questions would have to wait for in the morning. It wasn't like she would really be able to give him a straight answer right now after all.

Unaware of anything going on around her, Ino slept soundly. She was grateful that she was able to at least get some rest; especially considering how much she had drank tonight. There was no doubt in her mind that once she had gotten over her drunken state of being, Shikamaru would scold her about drinking too much yet again. It was like this every time it happened, ever since she came of age to drink.

What felt like several hours passed before she felt weight pushing against her shoulder, beckoning for her to wake. Sleepy cornflower blue eyes cracked opened, trying to get used to the light of the street lamp that hung above her car. From the looks of it, they had gone back to Shikamaru’s apartment. Good, her’s was a mess and she would rather him not see that right now.

"I got you some aspirin for your hangover," she heard Shikamaru murmur as he stepped out of the car before coming to her side to help her out. Slinging her arm around his shoulder, she sluggishly made her way up to his apartment with him after he closed and secured her car. She, however could really care less about the car right about now. She’d rather get inside, take the aspirin, and go back to sleep before Shikamaru could ask her anything about what happened tonight.

          "It's nothing like that," Shikamaru said waving a hand to dismiss the thought. Really, she always found a way to work herself up over nothing. "So lets drop it okay, before you make me sick."

  “Oh.” The blonde said quickly. “I —- just thought maybe you were going on some creep fest journey to Suna. Hunt down that fanchick, and … eat her —-” she waved her hands. ” I just made myself throw up in my mouth. Thinking of you doing that is … rough.” she coughed and shook her head. “I’m glad you’re not a pervert.”

          "Jeez Ino, it's a song," Shikamaru murmured as he rolled an eye to look at her. Of course he wasn't some pervert. And he had absolutely no intention of hunting down anyone. That was way too much work. "No I'm not a pervert."
