My face is having uncontrollable spasms. Great. It hurts really, really, really bad.

I think part of why I have trouble explaining pain to the doctor is when they ask about the pain scale I always think “Well, if someone threw me down a flight of stairs right now or punched me a few times, it would definitely hurt a lot more” so I end up saying a low number. I was reading an article that said that “10” is the most commonly reported number and that is baffling to me. When I woke up from surgery with an 8" incision in my body and I could hardly even speak, I was in the most horrific pain of my life but I said “6” because I thought “Well, if you hit me in the stomach, it would be worse.”

It comes down to several things I think:

Watcher isn't as big of a YT channel (less than 3M subs) so what they're offering at $6 doesn't seem like that much

They won't be putting any new content on YT so people lose out on what they were enjoying for free

They already HAVE a popular Patreon but want to paywall content so it seems like a cash grab

Patreon people only get a DISCOUNT on Watcher.tv which feels again, a little grubby

They cite a huge team and large production costs as a reason to do this, but most people just want to watch Ryan and Shane dick around and even if they shot that on a GoPro no one would bat an eye.

The video itself seemed like it was written by some business consultant and used startup-bro terms that rubbed people the wrong way, in the same breath as they thank their YT audience for getting them this far they say "no more content for you!!"

Finally, it feels disingenuous with the "eat the rich" stance they have vocalised in some of their content in the past. TL;DR Some people feel like they're being greedy and this move was unnecessary. I enjoyed MoistCr1TiKaL's take on it
