my fav lil canadian first responder show is BACK on CBC Gem and Paramount Plus and this season it looks like we are getting a canon WLW couple so plzz everyone watch! it's about air ambulances operating in northern canada and focuses a lot on Indigenous communities and of course, the personal lives of the pilots and paramedics/nurses!

For anybody who’s curious the premise is a team of pilots and medics based out of Thompson, Manitoba, Canada. They fly out to remote communities for medical calls so they can bring patients back to large centers for care.
911 fans, give it a shot when you need a between season pick-me-up! Please keep in mind it doesn’t have the same budget as 911.

Anyway...I started watching Sky Med on Paramount+. And frankly I'm impressed. I think there are actually more characters of color than there are white people in the show. Solid writing and acting, interesting plot lines, and not your typical medical show. A lot of female characters, including WOC. Also...it's a bit gay. The gay sex scene was handled the exact same way as the hetero sex scene, which is really saying something.
Takes place in Manitoba, about flight medics and pilots flying into remote regions of Canada to help people, especially remote First Nations communities.
The First Nations communities are also at the center of the show and FN characters often speak their native language, and the show highlights some of their cultures.
Definitely worth watching.

listen. aging into your thirties rocks. yes your joints get a little creaky. yes you can’t sleep in a pretzel on the floor anymore after a concert or a convention. and you lose some friends. but the thing is that you sort out who your real friends are and you sort out who you really are. and you get to see your friends settling into careers they like, and adopt new dogs and cats, and you find a job you can stand, and get really good at arts and crafts, and maybe that book you loved as a kid gets a movie deal and it doesn’t suck, and you learn to like new food and bake your own bread, and you realize that the great portfolio of self harm scars you all used to curate are going white with age and not updated, and half your friends are a different gender now and so much happier and maybe you are too, and you know who you are, and that it’s a journey and not a revelation. it’s a direction you’re headed, and you’re enjoying the trip.
reaching your 30′s rocks. and i’m hearing good things about what comes next, too.

Guess what? We finally got the gay rep we've been craving and hardly anyone is talking about it! Remember how obsessed we all were about that trite little nod Loki gave us? Like representation that amounted to literally one line!? Now we are finally being shown a wholesome, loving relationship with A LITERAL ON SCREEN KISS and so many of yall are sleeping on it!
Like I don't wanna say racism (unconscious or not) is the reason but it's really starting to feel that way. I can't help thinking if Phastos were one of your conventionally attractive white guys, I wouldn't have search for Benthos content like I do!
