It’s been quite a few months since I’ve had an update, but I’m excited to get this one out. I cannot tell you how many edits this has gone through. Not perfect, but I think it’s a good one anyway. Hope ya’ll enjoy.

Hello! My new fic “In Parallel” is out today. Here’s what it's about:

When the portal opens, Adora and the world as she knows it are turned upside-down. Space and time are torn apart as she falls through a series of alternate realities, facing Catra, or the memory of her, each time. What she has to figure out now is, how does she make the jump home?

It’s a lot lighter than W/W, but there’s still all the Adora angst, so don’t worry about that. :)

This was done as part of the @sherabigbang  I’ve been working along with a few artists (including @witchowlart here on tumblr) to bring this to life. There will be a total of 6 chapters and the 2nd will be out later today. Hope you all enjoy.

The She-ra Big Bang is in two weeks. This is a collaborative event between writers and artists to create fics and artwork to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of Season 5 (checkout @sherabigbang for fics as they come out - some have already started). 

I’ll be releasing a multi-chapter fic and two artists are working with me to do (multiple!) pieces for it. We’ve been working on it for a few months now and can’t wait for you all to read it.

Whenever writing softer scenes between Catra and Adora, I listen to youtube videos that loop and compile any songs with the Shire theme in them. I'm back to this music after the battle scenes in previous chapters, during which I strictly listened to video game music. It's a mood, y'all.

And, yes, last chapter out really soon. I added another scene that is now my favorite and am on final edits.

Wrapping up stories is always hard. The end should be tie up loose ends, be satisfying, and leave some impact. I have scrapped I don’t know how many words in writing the final chapter of Waxing/Waning (and I’m sure I’ll scrap more), but it’s getting there. I didn’t feel very optimistic about it until now, but just wrote a scene I have been planning on since the very beginning and it got me going. Will likely be released not this week but end of next week. 

W/W started as a fun writing exercise for me. I never planned on writing the full fic and definitely not sharing any of it. Really, I thought the subject matter might end up too dark for the majority of SPOP fanfiction readers (and maybe it did, but I guess not for the handful of you who read my blog posts). The first chapter I wrote because I liked the idea of Glimmer giving “the talk” to Adora. I wrote a few other scenes, which were mostly kept and dispersed throughout, but I was spending most of my time writing another fic, which laughably remains untouched for the 6 months. One day I decided to switch over my focus and write what I planned on being a ten chapter fic. And, well, now we’re 17 chapters in. It’s been unexpected to say the least.

It's a long time coming, but Chapter 16 of Waxing/Waning is up! Lots of Catra/Adora time now that the fight is over. After my last post I found out y'all are weirdly into Jell-O and I'm here for it.

Aside: I've loved writing Angella in this story. What an incredibly flawed but powerful character.

Adora would love Jell-O in all its forms. I will die on this hill. Yes, this is relevant to the next update of Waxing/Waning, which is drafted. Still working on it, but shooting for Tuesday.

Hey all. No update today. I've had a rough couple of weeks and haven't worked as much on the story as I want. A good portion of the chapter is written though and am planning for a late release next Tues. Thanks!

Chapter 15: Counterattack of Waxing/Waning is up. I love all the characters in She-ra, but I’ve gained a lot of appreciation for some of the more minor characters while writing this story. I have, especially, loved writing Mermista, Lonnie, Frosta, and small Spinnerella/Netossa moments. They have such power, all of them do. I hope that comes through. Thanks all for reading. Hear me out, Lonnie and Mermista as friends would be chaotic awesome. I’ll prove it when Chapter 15 of Waxing/Waning comes out next week on March 2nd. Draft is done and my terrible editing process has begun. Also . . . there are going to be 17 chapters total, not 16. I’m a liar, deal with it.

Upcoming fun: I’m writing for the She-ra Big Bang so expect to see a new story from me out in May, which, now that I’m writing this, is coming up kinda fast! It’s an idea I have had for a long time and it’s exciting to finally get going with the writing. 

It’s out and I’m so happy. The journey isn’t over yet, but we’ve come so far.
