“I’d ask what she saw in him, changes or not, but then I’d just sound like a huge hypocrite." Willow sighed. “I think this is why I prefer dating women. Less of a headache. Lesser chance of them being an asshole. Higher chance of achieving an orgasm.” Willow said with a shrug. “Thanks, Lo. You’re the sweetest. And to show my appreciation for you listening to me complain about my abomination of a love life, I’m going to make you madeleine cakes and listen to you ramble about any topic of your choosing.”

“We both know that you’re absolutely gorgeous so you can cross that off the list immediately”, Lola told her. “I know I’m not dating you but we’ve been friends for a while and I still find you very interesting so I don’t think that’s the reason either”, she added. “Sadly I think you’re just a little unlucky in love right now, Willow. It won’t last forever, though. Everyone goes through phases where things just don’t work out”‘. Lola had a very good idea of just who had made Willow so upset but she didn’t want to mention Louisa’s name and potentially upset her friend more.

“Keegan cheated on me, and to rub salt into that wound, he got her pregnant, Wyatt lead me on almost to the altar, and now Lou disappears without saying a word. I just feel like there’s a common denominator as to why I keep getting fucked over.” Willow said, then sighed heavily. “I know I still have time, and that there are other things to worry about, but it sucks. A lot. And I know this sounds like a really stupid thing to complain over, but I just want to vent. I’ll get myself together in a minute.”

She furrowed her eyebrows to see that it was just Willow who walked into the restaurant. Dalena immediately started to feel bad at the fact that she just yelled at her friend. “No, no. It’s fine you can stay.” she smiled with assurance in her voice. “It’s kinda been a shit day so like I’m not really in the best mood to talk to customers.” she explained before sitting down in one of the booths. “Keep me company?”

Willow smiled in response. “Good, I was starting to think you’d started to reconsider this whole friendship thing.” She teased as she slid into the booth, sitting across from the other girl. “I’m yours for the rest of the night and then some. Wanna talk about it? I’ve been told I’m a good listener... who also gives some pretty decent advice.”
