me, walking into a room i think is empty:
backpack for his applesauce
backpack where he keeps his applesauce
ja’ams got the applesauce that you crave
everyone catch those juicy ja’am waves
Last April 20th marked 10 years from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. 13 workers died in the incident, and almost 600 million litres of oil were spilled in the Atlantic Ocean.
I still remember playing this adventure that was created to satirize the event. As I was playing it, in July 2010, the oil was still flowing from the well into the ocean.
The chemicals released have poisoned countless gulls, pelicans, dolphins, fish and of course humans. Naturally, the first ones to be poisoned were the workers who had to clean up the mess.
British Petroleum, the company that ran the oil rig with “gross incompetence and reckless conduct“, was charged over $65 billion in cleanup costs. But according to a 2015 study, their oil will remain in the food chain for generations, poisoning our hearts and lungs.
