mining in minecraft is the best stim, i swear to god. you just click click click click click forever and tunnel your way through the bowels of the earth. delightful
Minecraft needs to just bite the bullet and do what the mods/data packs are already doing and just let us collect any mob head
just. give us a chance of getting a mob head from literally anything. it shouldn't be connected to exploding the mob with a creeper either tbh, just make it a rare drop from regular kills like the wither skull. with increased chances corresponding to Looting but still rare idk
it would be. so fun. I'd love to use them as decorations and I love the inherent silliness of potentially getting like. a salmon head or a bee head or something. pls
Things that I think would be cool to add if Minecraft had a fishing update (or maybe in, like, a mod):
More types of fish and other catchable creatures.
Different types of fish that can only be caught at night and/or when it's raining/stormy.
Bait that increases the chance of catching certain fish, and a Salvage Hook that increases the chance of fishing up other items instead.
Biome-restricted fish that can only be caught where their corresponding mob-forms spawn, e.g Catfish that can only be caught in swamps, Frogfish that can only be caught in biomes that have coral reefs, Piranhas that can only be caught in jungles. This also applies to Cod, Salmon and Tropical Fish.
Nether fishing, which adds another way of getting Ancient Debris, alongside several new Lava-dwelling mobs (not all of which are catchable).
More underwater biomes, including "deep-sea" ones (essentially an underwater equivalent of cave biomes, but rather than generating underground, they generate underwater below a certain height).
While I was away I started thinking about piglin jewellery
Lots of bells/ jingle-y things, gold and beads. Honestly the gems were probably the most annoying part cause unfortunately the nether has a very limited option of ores
The main ones I used here are quartz, blackstone, gold, netherite and gilded blackstone
....and for some reason it only occurred to me yesterday that you can paint beads, so I haven't drawn them out but just imagine them ajdhudbd
do you have a favourite texture pack, or one that you use more often?
I have a few that I've used fairly often!
First off, I almost always use a pack made from Vanilla Tweaks!
I like the option of having vanilla-adjacent textures, and this one is very fun bc all it does is, as it says, tweak them! I typically use options like these:
(tho I tend to use many more than just these. These are just examples)
Another one I like alot (tho I haven't used in a bit) is Stay True!
Again, it's a vanilla-esque feel but I like how the foliage in this pack just has so much more volume to it, and the connected textures are also a nice thing that makes the world feel more organic :]
I tend to conglomerate texture packs a lot, usually just a primary pack and then a handful of small packs that change somethign specific like specific sounds/items/mobs.
