Okay, so it seems like Entities tend to target people they believe will compatible with them as their Avatar based on some pre-existining personality aspect (i.e. Jane Prentiss, lonely and craving belonging, who was adopted by the Corruption. Jude, an indiscriminate user with a temper, and gave herself to the Desolation.  Annabelle, born into a large family who showed a propensity for subtle manipulation to achieve her ends–ultimately taken by the Web. etc.) OR! Entities will target people who will simply make a good fear-meal because they already have a deep seated fear/aversion for whatever is the entity represents. (Carlos Vittery, straight up paranoid arachnophobe and got GOTTED by the Web in there end.  Michael Crew being pursued by an aspect of the Spiral all of his life after being struck by lightening, who yeeted himself off a building to become the avatar of Vast rather than be killed by the Spiral.. etc. Not a great example, but dbfjksadbkgj)

SO:  Which Entity do you think you are compatible with for Avatarship, and which Entity would target you as A Very Good Fear-Meal?  And why.

For me?  Avatar: The End.  I’m tempted to say Vast, because I fucks with that, existentially, but it’s The End for me.  A great deal of my life has actually revolved around processing death.  I’ve studied it, have had to really reflect on my experiences with it, and I have a deep connection to grief that has really informed my entire world view.  I mean, that’s not a HAPPY thing, but it’s something I feel like I comprehend in an intensely visceral way.

As A Fear Meal:  WEB.  100% Web.  Aside from DEFINITELY being arachnophobic, I have a horrible fear of manipulation and being coerced into something that I feel like, somehow, I’ve had no agency in deciding.  I can’t deal with people with manipulative personalities, because as a person who struggles with asserting themselves, I have found myself an easy target for people who want to exert their will over mine.  Mr. Spider would have a very sexy, tasty treat in me.
