so after being released and going home to rest up, i ended up admitted again and having emergency surgery, because being a person with a body is FUN

the solution i've reached is that i want to do a big revamp and rework my muse list, which is obviously gonna take a little bit! as always, if you want to drop anything, that's absolutely fine

discord stuff is still getting some attention because that's weirdly easier for me, but i know i owe a couple of people servers and set-ups there too

fiction & reality is not a 1 v 1 consumption.   what you write / consume / etc, should not and does not have an effect on your moral standing if you are a person of sound mind who has the ability to disassociate fiction from reality.   writing / reading something is not equivalent to condoning it, and you shouldn’t try and demand people’s trauma ( if they have it ) in order to vet them on what they’re writing.   you don’t have the right, you are not the morality police.   there have always been triggering and dark topics written throughout history, sometimes romanticised, sometimes not.   we should learn and not follow in the dumb actions of the past by “ banning ” this topics from view like what was done with various controversial media such as monty python, to kill a mockingbird, etc.   it solves nothing, it achieves nothing.

people on this site are not responsible for your well being.   that falls on you, to cultivate your own space, to ensure that you are blocking things that may trigger you.   people have the right to write whatever they damn well please, just as you have the right not to see it.   this isn’t a site for minors, it’s an incredibly unhealthy place to spend such formative years ( that’s another topic ) but also, it’s unsafe.   it’s an adult centred site, just as fandom is an adult space.   it always has been, and always will be ; there are minor friendly spaces in it but it’s not on the adults to make sure all of fandom is so and don’t expect them to.
