my poor boys! between us, we’ve been to three vet clinics in the last week.
nico currently has an eye mass that i’ve been getting investigated for six months (being consistently brushed off, before finally being told that the vets he was setting aren’t, in fact, qualified to treat him). he travelled an hour to see an exotic pet specialist who was so kind, informative and overall unconcerned with the problem. he has eye drops to tide him over until i can decipher whether he’s comfortable enough to live a long, happy life with the mass being handled. he has been given so many eye drops over the last few months that the darling gets himself into position, nose buried, eyes wide (see above). god bless this gentle soul intertwined into my life.
novo has always been, for a lack of better words, durable throughout his five years of life. today was his first ever vet’s trip and it’s safe to say he loved it! novo isn’t one for attention but he loves a good chin scratch and the vets were fawning over him. i might be biased, but he definitely is rather cute. last night, he was experiencing some lung/respiratory difficulties and luckily i managed to book him in today for a consultation. he has a chest infection, affecting mainly his left lung, but antibiotics seem promising for his condition. he absolutely hates taking them, but i must remind myself that they are for his benefit. after the long journey, he seems happy to simply be back with his best friend, cuddling together in bed.
send my boys some love if you have some love to spare, and appreciate your loved ones! nobody knows what is around the corner.
took mr.nico nitz to the vet today and they’ve run out of second opinions!! so wish him luck in his journey down south next week for a consultation with an eye specialist
