Question: how dose the background characters like joeseph, hollie, and mobile play into this? Is it the same sorta storyline as the original orrrr??
they have mostly the same involvement in the story as the comics, maybe ill give them a bit more to work with for fun. the storyline overall is moostly the same as the comics, following the same story beats. some things are changed to fit the lore i have in my head but dont expect it to derail much at all from the comic

Do the ghouls (I.E Wallace and Envy) fight other ghouls and can ghouls get hurt badly like losing arms and such
yeah violence is pretty common in this universe. and yes the character do get fatally wounded and die. all of the exes will straight up just get brutally murdered on screen instead of poofing into coins

nah i dont plan to incorporate most of the character's original powers like subspace highways, the glow, veganism, etc. im replacing them with things that make more sense for them in relation to whatever creature they are

Do people know what Gideon does? Do people respect him here or know how much of a freak he is?
And if they know what he’s like, does he have anyone in his life, like at all? (It feels kind of obvious given he Frankensteined his dead gfs together but can’t hurt to ask)
no one knows what gideon does in secret. he puts a lot of care into hiding his violent nature, especially since violence is a lot more heavily frowned upon among humans compared to monsters, who mostly kill for fun without any repercussions.
he's actually highly respected in both the scientific community and as a person overall. a lot of people are naturally drawn to him since he's superficially charming. he still dated all of his ex-girlfriends properly for a period of time before they met their untimely demise under "mysterious circumstances."
but yeah, apart from his dead girlfriends, he never lets anyone else get too close since he has way too many skeletons in his closet (literally)

kim was bitten by zombies and turned into one, neil simply died and haunts the house he died in

I'm curious so if I remember the lore correctly this Ramona is a combined of all of Gideon's exes. So how did Ramona meet all the other exes? Especially someone like Matthew which I assume would be an adult when they meet.
Also Gideon being her ex is that because they were "supposed to be" or is there another event where she actually did give in and dated him for a little before running away again?
in this universe ramona's exes aren't really exes. they're all hitmen hired by gideon to capture his creation and bring her back to him, so they don't really have any preconceived attachment to her.
also yes, ramona was only dating gideon since she was told that was her sole purpose the moment she was created. she eventually runs away once she realizes that she has autonomy, fueled by the fact that gideon treats her coldly because he deems her "imperfect"
