i'm never gonna be okay about how Fabian was never really given the tools to stand on his own. he was expected to be like Bill for so long and yet nobody taught him where to find the food in his own goddamn house. he was expected to be as powerful and as fearsome as his father but nobody taught him how to do his own fucking laundry. he was set up for failure while being shoved towards greatness and i'm not okay.

I interpret the scene of when Murph realising that they've gathered every single student in a big boat when their enemy has a cloud rider engine as Riz realising it and jumping onto like Fabian's chest, grabbing onto his shirt and, veins popping, yelling WE'RE ON A BOAT AND WE BROUGHT EVERYONE HERE literally as it rumbles and lifts from the ground

aaaauuuUUUUUUUGGGHHHHhhhh got to the part where TBK all get their anonymous personalized gifts from Fabian and I forgot just HOW personalized they are!!!
He gets Fig a ruby guitar pick!! They literally just met Gorthalax yesterday!!!
Gorgug gets a leather axe holder with a tin flower on it! Fabian basically made that Gorgug's "symbol".
He followed through and got Adaine 45 gold pieces for the makeover she wanted to do with TBK!!
I genuinely forgot Fabian was how Kristen got her book about different religions in the world! She only just started actively looking for literature about different faiths!!
And then...what he got Riz... I'm literally gonna quote how Brennan described it:
"Riz, you find a beautiful leather bound briefcase with the initials 'TB' on the front- and inside are a bunch of beautiful, like gilded business cards that say "Riz 'The Ball' Gukgak", a-very, very small 'un' and then "licensed investigator" and your information on them. With beautiful hand done calligraphy."
Kristen says these are all of their deepest desires that tap into what they're all after. Which isn't totally true but also not far from it! Adaine says they've been given their "heart's desire"! Fabian didn't just buy them what they'd all want, he got them things they'd never think to get for themselves!
Fabian (like Fig) tries to play at being disinterested and unattached to TBK, but he can't help it! These high schoolers are weirdo freaks and they're also people he cares deeply about! So much so he's afraid it isn't mutual and they're only after his money, despite the fact none of them have shown any interest in his wealth!!!
Fabian loves The Bad Kids sooooo much and the school year isn't even over. He hasn't really had anyone outside of his family's social circle to show love to, and as soon as he gets the opportunity he throws his heart into it!!!
Fabian Aramais Seacaster, you don't need to add "Son of Bill Seacaster" to the end your name for people to desire your presence. "Fabian" is more than enough 🥺

K three episodes into my fantasy high rewatch, and I wanna talk about how Fabian establishes and uses "The Ball":
So Ragh loudly tells the student body to only call Riz "ball" and nothing else. He doesn't say "the ball", just "ball".
Then when Fabian is trying to establish himself with the Owlbears, he tells Ragh how funny dunking Riz was and that he'll only call Riz "ball" when he sees him.
Well flash forward post Corn Cuties™️ fight, where Riz immediately showed he not only has competence but courage, and Fabian is almost solely referring to him as "The Ball".
Now, it would be one thing if he only ever referred to Riz to belittle him...EXCEPT!!!
He truly just starts using "The Ball" in place of "Riz". So far the few times he addresses him directly, it's with various attitudes and tones ranging from 'annoyed' to 'eager'.
Fabian calls him "The Ball" when he disregards Riz's plan for The Bad Kids to only talk to Sklonda about what went down in the cafeteria. However, Fabian also immediately turns to Riz and asks "The Ball" what to do when they're spying on the biker gang at the diner.
Like this is a nickname meant to humiliate Riz and Fabian is singlehandedly reforming it to be an identifier of camaraderie. Add to this the fact Fabian is the only one using it and it's just like...hide your reluctance all you want Seacaster but you're impressed by the nerdy goblin.

Oh god why am I doing this rewatch
Literally one of the first things Lou mentions about Fabian, he lists his skills and says he's 'quite good at calligraphy'.
I already know he makes Riz business cards BY HAND using calligraphy.....and he doesn't even know Riz exists yet!!!
I hate this not even five minutes in and I'm already just like.....geez.

I've seen some fan works that show dialogue from Fantasy High in transcript form. Are there official transcripts for the campaigns somewhere, or are those also done by fans? Like, is there a resource that's catalogued the captions from the campaigns? I'll probably still do a rewatch but having access to what's said and confirmed canon would be fantastic.
