Sad Genocide Headcanon: When Frisk/Chara kills Toriel, they leave the Ruins before Toriel turns to dust, leaving her to die in Agony. After they meet Sans, Sans heads back to knock on the Ruins door but noticed that it's open. He walks in and sees Toriel dying, running to her and holding her in his tiny skele-arms. Toriel recognizes him as the person behind the door and tells him her name, Sans proceeding to cry, watching as Toriel turns to dust in his arms. (I'm so sorry hhh)

Slightly Sad Headcanon :: In the first ever run, when Sans didn't even know about the resets, Frisk did a Genocide. While Sans was knocking away at the door, happy for once and thinking everything was perfect, he suddenly heard the womans crying voice. Listening to her speak he grew more and more frantic, knocking on the door repeatedly and crying out. And then suddenly, the tears stopped. The sound of knife slashes stopped. But there was one more- and dust billowed out from under the door.

Headcanon that Totiel bakes a new kind of pie for Sans, but Sans is allergic to an ingredient in it so he gets sick and Toriel is flustered with pure guilt for weeks.

headcanon this: sans gets braces because why not, and is embarrassed to show anybody, therefore doesn't want to smile or open his mouth. This upsets Toriel and of course she tells him a pun about dentists: "getting braces sounds very jaw-dropping" and that makes Sans crack up and show his teeth with braces. Toriel laughs and tells Sans that it looks just fine and they go about their day

Genocide Soriel

I've got a sad one for you. So in the neutral runs, Sans is likely too busy keeping tabs on you to go back to the Ruins, so if you kill Toriel there he doesn't find out until after you leave (and seems pretty homicidal about it in the subsequent ending). However, on the Genocide route, I imagine he pretty much gives up on you once it looks like you're locked into that route in the Hotlands, so he goes back to the Ruins and sees if he can take at least some comfort in the woman behind the door. So he knocks... and knocks... but no one came. And that's when he snaps and decides you're in for a bad time.

Head canon that when sans is sleeping, toriel uses his skull for storage. (He wakes up like, why is there a spoon in my head?)
