I feel that in the midst of Merlin’s visions in this ep, we lost sight of exactly how obsessed Morgana is with Arthur’s birthday present. Girlie did not have to study and caress it like this!

Also shout out to Arthur knowing exactly what Morgana would love. Although I know it’s played as his masculine ignorance in the show, I do believe Arthur truly knew Morgana, who beat him at childhood sword fights, would appreciate and value a gift like this instead of another piece of jewellery. She also keeps and continues to use this dagger throughout Season 4 and therefore always keeps a part of Arthur, and his care for her, with her ;)
