The face of lies
Ch-2
I was surrounded with people sitting and laughing, comforting themselves in the warmth of fireplace when all of a sudden the room became dark but it was still visible. I panicked as I m afraid of dark and bummed into a man. His back was facing towards me so I asked him who are you to which he unexpectedly in a female voice ,almost shouting at me, replied "you seriously can't sleep while getting ready. We are getting late...hurry up! I m waiting for you. The car is already here" . I opened my eyes and found myself in my changing room still in my night suit. I without any delay wore my cloths(crop top and shorts),picked up my phone and bag and went downstairs. We used to live in a bungalow as paying guest and thanks to mrs. Stan-our landlady, who was in her 50s, didn't had any kids of her own and her husband was in marine so most of the time she lived alone in here but always used to treat us like her own daughters- breakfast was ready on the dinning table. I quickly grabbed a toast and bid her bye when she wished me all the best for Stacy's anger as well as for the journey ahead of us. We lived there to prepare for our interview to get in The Larks for one month as her home was in London and the academia was in the suburbs of it.
There was a rolls royes parked in front of the gate. I ran towards it when the chauffeur opened the car door for me and I swiftly make myself seated. The Larks was definitely some rich shit rather than being sneaky one because they had so much money to send a hifi car to pick up the selected students from there residents.
"You aren't gonna give me you insights on being late" I said to Stacy while eating my toast.
"Well, should be thankfull to this Rolls Royse I m in good mood today but you are used to kicks aren't you" she replied with a smirk to which the driver chuckled but instantly tried to maintain that formal look.
"Shut up"
"No I won't and u started"
"Yeah yeah" we continued our chatter till the academia came in view. The fence gate giving entrance to ours as well as 2-3 more cars which I presume have students like us. It had an ancient british architecture with well maintained gardens and fountain. As we reached at the entryway and got out of the car,a lady wearing a navy blue dress with a off white cardigan was standing at the door to welcome the new students. She was a tall lady, had a thin figure, with tann skin and long curly hair tied neatly in a bun.
"Welcome everyone, I m miss nightingale, student councilor of The Larks. I will show you your dorm rooms and as you can see it's already haft past 8 it's better you all have dinner first. Follow me"
"She is hot" I said while following her to the dinner area. "I thought you were straight and duhh" Stacy said passing me a mischievous smile. "Shut up I m straight" I was going to give a savage reply this time but miss nightingale passed us the look that meant - maintain discipline so I decided to not to.
"And snobbish too" Stacy added making me chuckle and consequently receiving another look. We entered the diner and took seats at the conner near a window from where we can enjoy the scenery outside. It had more than a dozen wooden tables with cushioned seats and every table had multiple cuisines. We instantly ate our food,it was delicious, and moved towards our dorms. I had made sure me and Stacy get the same room by requesting the faculty. We entered and threw ourselves at bed; decided to unpack tomorrow morning. The only thing I noticed was that the bed was too comfortable to do anything further and fell asleep without even answering to Stacy's good night.

The face of lies
Ch-1
Tomorrow was the day I was starting a new chapter of my life,it will be the first day of my collage, The Lark academia, which according to my school friends was some "sneaky shit " but it was my dream to study at that university because my mom went there. She dies when I was 15 years old but before that always told me she had the best time of her life studying there. So, maybe studying there I could feel her close to me and I might relive those moments for her . I was so busy in my thoughts that I came to reality when something(a pillow) hit my face.
"Aahh"
"You gonna come out of your strawberry world princess Amelia" said Stacy one hand on her waist and other holding another pillow ready to shoot again but didn't seeing I was all ears.
"What I m packing" I replied with a little shrug.
" Yeah, the same cloth from last 15 minutes " the comment I decided to ignore. Stacy was my best friend- she was taller than me with short hairs died in multiple colors which to my surprise looked good on her and complimented her fare skin and dark brown eyes with golden specs-who was infamous for her fierce spirit in our batch. She rolled her eyes at me, took out some of the dresses from my wardrobe and started to help me pack my things followed by lectures of being delusional and what will happen to me if she was not there but I was still wandering in my thoughts that when I finally decided to listen to her the topics had a transition to how she was joining The larks just so we can be together for some more years before her moving to London for her masters. We then excitedly talked about our coming days when she sat on bed folding my dresses and definitely in a neat better manner if compared. After a couple of hours, we finally finished packing my bag and were extremely tired. I saw Stacy was half asleep on her side of bed holding her unicorn and some of my dresses mumbling something in her sleep. I smiled and put blanket on her putting away the cloths. I switched off the lights and finally lay down on bed letting sleep take over me manifesting some good days.

The face of lies

Prolouge
I opened my eyes with a pounding headache and looked around in a room surrounded with darkness and silence when someone entered the room. His face became visible when a beam of light coming from the window which were the only source of light in the shady room hit his face and I couldn't believed my eyes. A sense of relief, confusion and fear hit me at the same time because the person standing in front of me was dead for the world and was just a picture for me till yesterday. Was I really delusional like Stacy said I was or was I dreaming or there was really a ghost in front of me or the worst of all my mom hid this from me my whole life...a lot of questions came in my mind and in shadow of those the only three words left my dry throat but they turned my world upside down.
"Dad..."
"Amelia" said the man standing with straight face and emotions hard to understand.
