i don’t know what younger person needs to hear this, but it is so valid to not want to drink alcohol at all, or to only want to drink very rarely. don’t let others pressure you into joining in with those societal rituals. it is an outrage how normalized drinking alcohol is, to the point that those who choose to abstain are constantly forced to justify their private choices, be publicly questioned about what led to these choices or excluded from activities altogether. you do not ever need to justify your reasons for this. there are absolutely valid and important reasons to not drink, and nobody has a right to know your personal reasonings.

Just realized that the reason I love making friends on tumblr is because it’s exactly how you make friends on the playground as a six year old. No, I don’t know their name but they love mermaids too and built this awesome sand castle. No, I don’t know their age but their imaginary cheetah is friends with mine. You like this show? You like this character?? You can sing the theme song really loud??? Here is a flower crown. Here is a juice box. You can share my time and I might never see you again but part of you stays in my soul forever. In my mind we’re still on the swing set and the sky is blue and nothing will ever be wrong again.

remember that time the admiral crawled into Jon's lap, shoved his furry butt in his face, and started purring up a storm because of how much he loved him. and then Jon said "yes, yes, I love you too" and started giving him belly rubs. y'all remember that.
do y'all also remember the horror trope of animals being sensitive to the supernatural and how they would growl/hiss at monsters and inhuman impersonators and whatnot. and how, in a season during which Jon is starting to really struggle with whether he's human or not, the admiral shows him just as much love and demands just as much affection from him as he likely would if jon wasn't getting eye-ified. he's not entirely human anymore but the admiral still demands belly rubs. y'all ever think about that.
