Lasombra could also be a viable sire’s clan. [Sire] destabilizes PC’s life by taking away the only person who is truly there for her (sista-sista) and eagerly awaits the gumshoe at the end of the cookie crumb trail. Lasombs love to play “52-card pickup” with their potential childer to see if they have the resolve to claw their way back up from an abyss after “the cards fall where they may”. ^_^
with one of my players we've created her pg: she's a private investigator that decided to take this road after her sister gone missing and the police didnt work 100% on this case. Now, even if she investigate for other stuff she still search for her sister, obsessionate that her sister is still alive and that she can still save her. At this point who and from what clan could Embrace her? She's primarly Social (she's a chamaleon, doing it to know everything she can)
Oh so many hooks to pick from!
First, as always, clans don’t embrace people, people embrace people. And lots of different people could find this character useful to be in their ranks.
So, obvious path: PC got herself into way too many fishy businesses with her job and has become way too close to finding the truth; it was all a test by [insert sire] and her next case will be her last, if she’s successful. Perhaps [sire] or [sire’s rival] is also one behind the disappearance of her sister (was she ghouled? embraced? killed?).
Less obvious path: whoever is giving her work is [sire to be], trying to mislead and make sure she stays away from [whatever happened to sister]. But PC is far too stubborn and is getting far too curious so [sire] has to embrace to save her from [whatever].
Slightly less obvious: [sire] gets conned by PC, fooled by her charisma or interested by any other way and ends up embracing her for totally different reasons (perhaps just out of “sorry I didn’t mean to kill you so i gave you back your life”), having no idea about her job or about her sister. PC needs to keep up the image she gave [sire] so she doesn’t get executed, and maintain that double life with another layer on top of it.
Potential sires can be everything and anything, but what first came to mind for me was a cunny Nossie in need of a skilled people person and a humane Toreador wanting to help her all while tackling down [rival/whoever did what to sister]. Passionate Brujah drawn in by her relentless fight, or a Ventrue needing those sets of skills would work just as well, but here it’ll all depend on the sire themselves, not their clan.

Overwatch characters by VtM clan
Pharah: Assamite. I know, I know, it's too obvious, but I mean she's all about honor and fighting for good and she was in the military.
Bastion: Gargoyle. IDK, he's a robot.
Zarya: Brujah. Sacrifices for her ideals, intimidating and into vaguely alternative fashion. Will make you STRONGK. A big sweetheart under the muscle.
Winston: Tremere. A lonely guy who missed his friends, who is pretty freakin brilliant.
Mercy: Ventrue. The 'mom friend.' Not very 'exciting,' but she's pretty much the only thing holding everyone together. Well-kempt.
Symmetra: Tzimisce. Not good at socializing, augments herself. Combines aesthetic and functionality (dance and hard-light).
Mei: Toreador. A sweet creampuff scientist who loves the beauty of the world and will probably destroy you with ice.
Junkrat: Ravnos. All about spreading mayhem and chaos. Like Roadhog, an outsider.
Roadhog: Gangrel. A survivalist who more than anybody else in the game is into animal motifs. Like Torbjörn, also closed-minded in the face of robots.
D. Va: Nosferatu. A video game prodigy who prefers to hide in her robot than get out and do battle with her fists. Fandom has also turned her into a gamer gremlin, which is pretty Nosferatu.
Reinhardt: Ventrue. Would have been Assamite, but Ventrue antitribu are all on that ye-olde-knight-of-ye-county-ren-faire game.
Soldier 76: Another Assamite. Will surprises never end???
Genji: Assamite (see his brother, below).
Widowmaker: Lasombra. Almost as grimdark and edgy as Reaper, but somehow has the class to pull off a giant tattoo that says 'Cauchemar.' A cold-hearted babe.
Torbjörn: Gangrel. A bit closed-minded regarding robuts, but powerful. Good at roughhousing. I get the feeling he loves jerky.
Tracer: Ravnos! A goofball. Lots of energy, a trickster. Probably exaggerates her accent to annoy her team, but the accent is real, so who even knows?
Reaper: Giovanni (alternatively: Lasombra, but he's not nearly smooth enough for that). King of grimdark edginess, obsessed with death, tacky as all heck. Petty.
McCree: Brujah. Fights hard for causes he believes to be worthy, doesn't like when rules and regulations get in the way of that.
Hanzo: Assamite. The MOST Assamite. An assassin who talks about honor all the time. Conservative to the point of anachronism.
Lùcio: Toreador! He's practically a Son of Discord with his musically-inspired powers. He's also a Support character, and Toreador are generous.
Zenyatta: Salubri, as recommended by @mormonfries. I'm less likely to include Salubri in anything because of the lack of archival info about them, but I guess this makes the most sense.
