The First Chapter of My New Story Called Taste.

"I can't believe I'm actually doing this with you guys." I say as I set up another trap in the classroom, "Natalie, it's basically mandatory for you to come because your my bestfriend/sister." My bestfriend Caroline smiled before setting up another trap.

Me and Caroline had basically been friends since I we were six, my parents had dropped me off in front of her doorstep and Caroline's mom had basically took me in, I know it's cliche but I'm totally glad it happened because I got to me my closet friends Caroline.

"Yeah, Natalie I mean if I have to be involve in this so do you." My other Bestfriend Elena patted me on the back. I frowned feeling bad that I had basically complained about having to do this knowing Elena was having a hard time. Her boyfriend Stefan was still basically missing due to the fact that he had handed himself over to Klaus to save Damon.

When all of this had took place I was in LA trying to find out a little bit of information about my family, but when I had returned Caroline and Bonnie had filled me on everything. "Sorry, it was stupid of me to complain knowing that you probably don't even want to be he-" I started to say but was cut off by the light turning on.

We all turned around and saw Matt, me and him weren't really friends, not that I didn't like him, it's just we never really talked. "Ohh! Oh, come on! Seriously?! Do you know how long it took for us to set all this up?!" Caroline crossed her arms and said to Matt. "Forgot about senior prank night, huh?" Caroline's boyfriend Tyler scoffed.

Once again, me and Tyler weren't that close. But, I actually didn't like Tyler was a complete douche not to mention he didn't know how to take no for an answer, but I just tolerated him for Caroline. "Clearly." Matt mumbled annoyed.

"How could you forget? We've only been waiting for this since like freshman year." Caroline asked him, "Yeah, Matt. If I'm doing this, you're doing this." Elena smirked and stated.

"I'm kind of surprised any of you are doing this." Matt Said.

"Well, technically Caroline is making us participate in this." I clarified and Caroline glared at me playfully. "Yeah, I mean I literally got threatened to come here." Bonnie giggled. Bonnie was another one of my bestfriends. We started getting close when I realized I was a witch and she's been helping me learn spells ever since.

"We're about to be seniors. These are the memories that will stay with us forever, and if we don't..." Caroline started to say before Elena finished the sentence for her, "And if we don't create these memories now, then what's the point of it all?" I stared them as they talked about creating memories. "Go ahead and make fun, I don't care" Caroline said.

"You're all lame. And I've got ten more classrooms to prank." Tyler said and grabbed his bag and left the classroom. Soon after Elena got up and was about to leave, "Hey! Where are you going?" Bonnie asked her.

"To superglue Alaric's desk shut. I'm making memories." Elena said before looking at me, "Wanna join?" She asked and nodded and then got up to leave but then I turned to Caroline and smiled at her and she smiled in return and then mouthed 'I love you'.

"Sorry I was taking so-". I was about to say but I saw Elena standing still and I saw a guy who had curly blonde hair and dark blue-green eyes. "And who might you be?" He asked. I don't know but there was something about his accent that almost made me instantly fall to the ground. "N-Natalie...Natalia Morgan" I stuttered like a complete idiot. Gosh why was a stuttering?

"Hm...your the witch Katerina was telling me about, my name...Is Klaus." He Intruduced. He was Klaus? How could someone so evil be some freaking hot. "And You are supposed to be dead. What are we going to do about that?" He said looking at Elena

He grabs her harm harshly and then looks at me and takes my hand harshly and I try not to wince in pain. "You put a rather large kink in my plans, sweetheart. The whole point of breaking the curse and becoming a hybrid was to make more hybrids. I haven't been able to do that. Now my bet is, it has something to do with the fact that you're still breathing." Klaus says as he begins to marching around the school hallway.

"If you're going to kill me just do it, but leave my bestfriend out of it." Elena said trying to get out of Klaus's grip. "Not until I know I'm right." Klaus starts to say and then he looks back at me, "And as for your friend I wouldn't dare kill a pretty face." He continues. I could feel my face getting hotter by the moment.

Soon Klaus had pulled us into the gymnasium, where students where setting up pranks and he had tried to put on an American Accent, "Attention, seniors. You have officially been busted. Prank night is over. Head on home." That, American accent of his was something that he should never do again.

He then goes up to Dana and another student and returns to his normal voice, "You two, I remember you." The two students look at him with confusion. "I'm sorry. Who are you?" Dana asks him.

"Oh, don't worry, I wasn't in my right head last time we met." He chuckles to himself. "Lift your foot up, please, Dana." Klaus compells and then turns to Chad, "If she drops her foot, Chad, I want you to beat her to death. Understood?" Klaus compells him and Chad nods.

"Don't Klaus, you don't have to hurt anybody." Elena begs him.

"Oh, come on, love. Of course I do"

I was sitting on the gym floor while Elena was still standing up and pacing around. "Keep it up." Klaus says as he starts to see Dana struggling on one foot. "Where's Stefan? What did you do to him?" Elena asks Klaus.

"Your lover boy is on a time out." Klaus answers her question. I turn around quickly as I hear the gymnasium door open, and I see Bonnie and Matt enter and I rush over and hug Bonnie. . "Ah, I was wondering when you'd show up. Now we can get started." Klaus smirks and then looks over in Dana's direction.

"Ah, Dana, why don't you relax? You and Chad sit tight."

He then turns his attention to where me, Bonnie and Matt are. " I assume you're the reason Elena's still walking around alive?" Klaus questions Bonnie. "That's right. If you want to blame someone, blame me." Bonnie tells him. "Oh, there's no need for blame, love. Just your witchy interference seems to have caused some undesirable side effects. And since you caused the problem, I'm going to have you find the fix." He smirks.

I wanted to do something, use magic on Klaus...maybe. But, I know I'm not that strong so all I could really do was stand back and watch. I mean I was still learning how to even use my magic. A blonde then enters with Tyler who's trying to get out of her grip, "Get off of me!" Tyler shouts. "Hush now." The blonde says.

"I'd like you all to meet my sister Rebekah. Word of warning...She can be quite mean." Klaus Intruduced his sister. "Don't be a ass." Rebekah says as she throws Tyler into Klaus's arms.

"Leave him alone!" I speak up and he smirks amused. "She speaks." He chuckles. "I'm going to make this very simple...Every time I attempt to turn a werewolf into a vampire hybrid, they die during the transition. It's quite horrible, actually." He tells us and then bites his wrist and forces Tyler to drink. I try to go up to Tyler but Bonnie holds me back and shakes her head no.

"I need you to find a way to save my hybrids, Bonnie or Maybe even you Natalie. And for Tyler's sake...You better hurry." Klaus says looking at me and Bonnie. He then twists his head and kills him and Matt and Elena rush over towards Tyler's body.

"He killed him." Matt sobbed.

"He's not dead. Klaus's blood will turn him into a vampire." Elena says in realization.

"And if Bonnie or Natalie are successful, he'll live through his transition. Go on, then. Go and fetch your grimoires and enchantments and what-not. I'll hold on to Elena...for safe-keeping." Klaus grins.

I turn to Bonnie and give her a worried look. "Don't worry I'll try to fix this, just stay with Elena." Bonnie tells me and heads out of the gym with Matt.

"So this is the latest doppelgänger. The original one was much prettier." Rebekah says looking Elena up and down, "And you....well your drop dead gorgeous." She says to me with a smile. "Enough, Rebekah. Take the wolf boy elsewhere, would you?" Klaus said getting irritated.

Rebekah rolls her eyes and then drags Tyler behind her by his arm. "Just ignore her. Petty little thing." Klaus looks at Elena.

Me and Elena rushed over to Dana to comfort her, when suddenly the gym door opened and when saw Stefan. "Stefan!" Elena called out to him. "Klaus." Stefan said and completely ignored Elena. "Come to save your damsel, mate?" Klaus chuckled and looked at Stefan.

"I came to ask for your forgiveness. And pledge my loyalty" Stefan corrected. "Well, you broke that pledge once already." Klaus reminded Stefan.

"Elena means nothing to me anymore. And whatever you ask of me...I will do." Stefan tried to convince Klaus, but I could tell that he was lying. "Fine. Let's drink on it shall we?" Klaus smirked and then pointed to Chad and Dana, "Kill them, what are you waiting for? Kill them." He continued.

"No! Stefan, don't. He's not going to hurt me. He already said..." Elena gets up and starts to walk over to Stefan but Klaus hits hard so hard that she falls to the ground. "Elena!" I rush over to Elena's side to go check on her. Stefan vamp speeds over to Klaus and tries to attack him but Klaus grabs him by his throat. "She means nothing to you? Your lies just keep piling up." He grits through his teeth.

"Let her go! I'll do whatever you want, you have my word!" Stefan begs. "Your word doesn't mean much. I lived by your word all summer, during which time I never had to resort to this..."

I look at Elena and help her get up. "What were you thinking Elena? He could've killed you." I whisper even though I know Stefan and Klaus can hear me. "I can't just let him do this to Stefan." Elena sighs, "We have to come up with a plan to help. Can you do some sort of magic." Elena asks me.

"I could but everytime I use magic it ends up going bad. Remember?" I remind Elena. I've done spells before and they've always ended up bad. I either ended up accidentally killing someone or breaking something.

"You will do exactly as I say when I say it. You will not run, you will not hide, you will simply just obey." I turn around and see Klaus compelling Stefan. "Stefan! No!" Elena yelled out as if there was something she could do.

"Now kill them...Ripper."

Stefan vamps out, rushes over to Dana and kills her by drinking her blood.

"It's always nice to see a vampire in his true element. The species has become such a broody lot." Klaus said as he saw Stefan feeding from Chad. "No! You did this to him." Elena speaks up and starts to walk to Klaus. "Elena.." I stop her from going anywhere.

" I invited him to the party, love. He's the one dancing on the table." He smirks.

"Where's my Necklace?" Rebekah barges into the gym. "What are you talking about?" Klaus rolls his eyes annoyed. "She has my necklace. Look." Rebekah gives him the phone so he can see the picture. "Well, well more likes." Klaus looks at Elena. "Where....is it?" Rebekah asks getting more and more angrier.

"I don't have it anymore." Elena mumbled

"You're lying!"

Rebekah vamps out and bites Elena's neck but Klaus stops her and takes her aside. My eyes widen as I see everything happen. "Knock it off!" He tells at Rebekah

"Make her tell me where it is, Nik!"

But, instead of going to Elena Klaus walks over to me and smiles. "You wouldn't happen to know where the necklace is sweetheart...now would you?" He asks. "Katherine...she stole it." I admit not wanting anything bad to happen. "Katerina. Of course. Well, that's unfortunate. If we had the necklace it would make things a whole lot easier for your witch, but since we're doing this the hard way, let's put a clock on it, shall we?" Klaus sighs.

Klaus puts on the clock. There's a buzzer sound when the clock appears on the board. He goes over to Stefan and compels him. "Twenty minutes. If Bonnie hasn't found a solution by then, I want you to feed again. Only this time, I want you to feed on Elena. You know you want to."

"No, Klaus! Don't do this to him!"

"No one leaves. If she tries to run, fracture her spine." Klaus says and him and Rebekah leave.

"Caroline's dad! Stefan, he was able to resist compulsion. I don't know how, but he did it. Maybe it's possible." Elena says hopefully. "Yeah, yeah. Maybe it's just mind control, right? Maybe it just takes some focus, a couple decades of training. No big deal." Stefan sarcastically says and starts to pace around.

"Wait! There's always some sort of loophole to compulsion....we just have to find that loophole." I say in realization.

"Then you better hurry and find that loop because when that timer goes off...I'll feed on Elena." Stefan grunts. "Stefan, you can control this. When that buzzer goes off, just...just drink from me." Elena says and I look at her not really thinking her plan was the way to go.

"Natalie, what...what was your plan?" Stefan asks hesitantly. "Klaus said that if Elena tries to run...to fracture her spine....but what if she walked...maybe that's the loophole." I say trying to sound confident in the plan. .

"Yeah, because that's a great plan." Stefan says angrily. "Well, sorry for trying to help." I mumbled.

"Stefan....just, just drink from me...I know you can control it." Elena smiled. "You don't get it. I can't stop, Elena! I'm a ripper! A ripper doesn't stop! I listen to the words that come out of your mouth, and all I hear is the sound of your heart pumping blood through your body. And when that clock ticks down...I'm going to have to feed on you. And you want to know what's worse? I'm not going to be able to stop." Stefan shouts.

"He's right Elena, there's a chance he won't stop."

"I don't believe that. You can fight it. You just have to want it bad enough." Elena argued.

"Why, because I love you?" Stefan continued. "Yeah! That's right, Stefan. Because you love me. You'll fight because after everything that we've been through, you owe me that!" Elena cried out. "You know what, you're right. You're right. I owe you everything. Because through all of this, you are the one thing that has kept me from giving up; from turning it all off. But I can't help what I am, Elena. The more blood that I get, the more I want, and if I get so much as near yours...You are dead." Stefan yelled.

I look at the time and see that it's under five minutes. The buzzer then goes off and Elena looks at Stefan, "Elena we need to go..." I start to say and I grab her arm but she pulls out of my grip. "Stefan...I love you. Fight, Stefan. Don't give up." Elena walks up to Stefan. "Elena! I can't hold it." Stefan vamps out and rushes at Elena and she screams, but he rushes past her to the opposite wall.

"Elena! Natalie! Go run."

Elena rush's and run but I try to test out my plan and instead of running I speed walk out. Me and Elena go through the school, hallway to the next when I spot a door. "In here." I gesture her to come inside. I was walking in the classroom room backwards and I ended up bumping into something hard. "We've got to stop meeting like this." I hear a familiar accent say and I turn around to see Klaus. "Hello love."

Klaus grabs me and Elena arms taking us farther into the cafeteria. "Now this is fascinating. I've never seen this before. The only thing stronger than your craving for blood is your love for this one girl. Why don't you turn it off?" Klaus tells Stefan and he lets me and Elena go.

"No."

"Come on. Your humanity is killing you. All the guilt must be exhausting. Turn it off." Klaus smirks.

"Please don't make him do this " I beg.

"No!"

"Stefan..." Elena looks at him.

"You're strong." Klaus says with an amusing look on his face, "But you're not that strong. Turn. It. Off."

"No!" Stefan shouts and he pushes Klaus away. But Klaus pushes him against the wall, compels him and yells. "Turn it off!" Klaus says one last time and Stefans face changes. "No..." I say

"What did you do?" Elena cries and asks Klaus. "I fixed him. But, I think we should run a little test." Klaus smirks and looks at me and Elena. He walks behind Elena and looks at Stefan. "Ripper...Perhaps you'd like a drink.. from the doppelgänger's neck?" Stefan's face changes at that and he rushes over towards Elena but I quickly point my arm in his direction causing him to fling across the room.

"Well....our witch saves the day." Klaus claps and I glare at him. He then walks up to me and caresses my cheek and I felt shivers go down my spine.

A couple hours later me and Caroline went home together and we decided to sit in Caroline's room. "You okay?" I asked her. And she nodded. "I'm going to go sit out in the porch." I tell her and get up to head outside.

While I was sitting on the porch I saw...a wolf ..with bright yellow eyes start to walk up to me. I get up and try to get into the house but the wolf blocks my way.

I kneel down to the wolf and look it straight in the eye...trying to figure it out. It's eyes were wonderful. "It's getting late Natalie, get inside." Sheriff Forbes calls out to me and the wolf runs off and I get inside.

Gosh, I feel like this chapter is poorly written but, tell me what you guys think. I decided not to have Klaus do a lot of flirting with Natalie, but in future chapters he will be flirty with her. Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter.
