so imagine if a student with an anxiety disorder had to face a boggart and they were totally freaking out because they were scared of so many things and knew they might have a panic attack but Lupin doesn't make them face the boggart until after class and he brings plenty of chocolate and works with them really closely to make sure they don't panic uwu

It’s a weird feeling for my dad to see the effects of the school system on me.
Like for forever he’s been like “challenge is a good thing” “homework is a good thing” “all you can give is your best and that’s all people will expect out of you”
His whole mentality is that it is somehow easy, and that I should be challenged and have a lot of homework but still get the best grades imaginable. I don’t blame him, he’s never seen my mental breakdowns in seventh or eighth grade. But now? I got an essay back and absolutely /broke down/.
I don’t think he knew what to say. He clearly sees that I’m doing my best, but it isn’t good enough. He clearly sees just how much I care and how much I am working and still failing. He can’t give his usual “comfort” (see quotes above). So it’s weird that he is finally seeing the true effects of something I live with every day. It’s weird that he is more compassionate towards me because of it. School was never hard for him because he didn’t try. He expected it to be easy for me, but now he sees it’s not, and it’s weird for me to have sparked that change.

I hate how there is so much literature around men who fall in love with much younger women and we feel so much sympathy towards them because this is /so hard/ for them to go through and yet you never see older women falling in love with younger men because... you know.... that’s just /disgusting/ and /gross/ and /unnecessary/
I’m not saying we should have literature like that because I think the whole older person falling in love with younger person (in a wide enough age range) shouldn’t be portrayed as “good” or “pure” but like it’s gross buddy I don’t get why I’m reading this
