I also believe that the user who was primarily into that ship and got me into it deleted that blog. I'm sorry I barely know wtf is going on with fandom drama lately but it all seems like petty shit that is just being rehashed? Like I moved from Tumblr onto Twitter because shitty antis were just saying the same points over and over again but that is happening on Twitter and then for some reason people are being extra childish in their responses? Maybe because Twitter has a word cap and Tumblr doesn't??? Idfk.

It is either I write my fics and post my head canons or else I allow shit that I actually worked hard on to get buried under drama again and I'm not doing that so I'm just unfollowing people who seem to have new drama every week about the same shit. (Also unlike Tumblr there isn't a tag I could sort out or else that would obviously be the better option)

I was like halfway through a fic before I realized that it was sorta about Cherry cheating on Joe with Adam and emotionally I can't handle that right now so no I won't be reading it 😭😭😭 eventually I will because it sounds so good but not tonight lmao. Also now I do want a loveblossom relationship with Adam cheating in Cherry with Joe and yes I will be adding that to things I eventually write but oml I would be so sad 🥺

The way I have said that there should have been a villains stream or that David should be given more time in streams to talk about Adam months ago but now that Damen has said he has a sweet time with the fandom people are all coming out being assholes. :/

Someone brought up the fact that Damen doesn't regularly interact with fandom and the user who made the thread pointed out how David was getting harassed during lives and I can agree that *that* should have been stopped immediately. The stream host and the moderators should have started deleting messages and censoring people and they should have even said something during the stream, but again... none of this should have ever fallen on Damen's shoulders and he shouldn't be getting hate for saying his experience with the sk8 fandom has been the "sweetest".

Damen made a post calling the sk8 fandom the sweetest and he is very clearly speaking of his own personal experience with the fandom and he is also a busy guy?????? He doesn't regularly interact with the fandom so how tf is he supposed to know about fandom drama? Why do people think that VAs or other people involved in the process of creating anime/games/whatever regularly interact with the fandom? They don't. Jonah is literally the exception to this because he is a twitch streamer.

Also if you think Damen was hogging the cast streams as much as Jonah or Ry did then you didn't watch the fucking stream.

Also, as much as I love Adam, he is the antagonist. The depth and breadth people hate him is super fucking dumb and childish and shows a lack of any critical thinking, but fans hating the antagonist should not be something that VAs have to concern themselves with. Especially a VA who interacts with fan content of their own character and that is basically it jfc. Also none of this is to try and make light of the situation with David and Jonah (who is a twitch streamer and regularly interacts with fandom) should have probably said something, but how is any of this being placed on Damen's shoulders?

VAs aren't involved in zines so why tf would he or any of them know about it.

And yes I know this tweet was just made to show how shitty the fandom is (as if every fandom isn't shitty 🙄), but the person who made that tweet acted like Damen should have done more I guess? Idfk the post talks about Adam like he is a real person who got his feelings hurt instead of a narrative tool (like all characters are). I don’t disagree with everything in that post but it left out instances of proshippers being absolute assholes and acted like VAs are super invested in online fandom.
