she bolted out of her seat as quinn fired the puck off of his stick. luke has to keep his hands on her hips so that she’s not jumping over the patrons in front of them because of how excited she is. jack’s recording the whole thing to show quinn after the game.

how would ryan react if he ever saw a guy flirting with thea?
they have been together for nearly a decade, so both of them are very secure in their relationship. that doesn’t stop ryan from practically pouncing when he sees a guy standing a little too close at the grocery store. thea might be too nice to tell him to fuck off, but ryan’s not.
“let’s go see what he wants with momma,” he coos to carter, taking the fire truck off of the shelf his one year old had been reach for before making his way across the aisle where thea had been looking for a new toy bin. carter squeals as he catches sight of his mom and ryan smirks, “hey, babe?”
thea and the guy both turn their attention to the two. while thea looks relieved at their appearance, her companion looks annoyed, especially at the sight of carter who was reaching out for his mother. ryan holds up the toy, “is he too young for this?”
the question was redundant. they both knew that even if he was, ryan would still buy it before hiding it somewhere until he was older. thea gives it a look, not even flinching as carter starts to squish her cheeks in his little hands, “there’s no little pieces to it. it would be good for your parents.”
and if the baby that was a good mix of the two of them wasn’t hint enough, the mention of his parents house seemed to have the still unnamed man letting out a grunt before stalking away. thea can’t help but to let out a giggle, pressing a big kiss to carter’s cheek, “my hero!”
ryan lets his lips fall into a faux frown, “i did all the work.”
“he’s cuter.”

the boys are always looking at scottie with heart eyes despite their best efforts to hide their relationship with her
and at first, she gets so annoyed. the second they’re home (because she basically abandoned her dorm for their apartment before they were even official) she’s all, “if this is going to work, just don’t look at me.”
because she’s barely two months into her job and not willing to risk it for a couple of college hockey players who don’t know how to not make googly eyes at her. she quickly learns that asking them to not stare at her is practically mission impossible for her boys, so “no staring” quickly gets changed to, “don’t make it obvious.”
then the boys are bugging her almost every free moment they have at rink which is arguably worse.

thinking similar to my usa girlie idea, he watches her at a tournament while he’s like 16-17 (something like that) and watches her the team dominate and is 😍
but then they meet at some hockey canada event and he’s all shy, and his friends are poking fun at him, because while he may not be the most extroverted- shy? they’d never have believed it until they were seeing it

obsessed with the idea of one of his buddies just shouting out across the room while she’s doing press or something, “fraser minten is your biggest fan!” and while fraser wants to crawl into a hole, she laughs it off and goes on with her interview because guys are just weird. she doesn’t let it slip from her mind, though, and a quick instagram search has them becoming mutual followers later that night.
the rest is history.
