Another bike that can stay for a while (I kept it after an event I hosted at my business where it served as a conversation piece) is this really nice Suzuki DR 600. It needs some work as it hasn't run in at least two years, but just look at that condition! I love it and hope to be able to ride it this summer. That is if I find the time to work on it ;).

We're leaving for a couple of days on the Dutch TET soon, so I got to work on my Alp (can't help it...). I put on some bar risers, a higher seat, Michelin Tracker tyres and a high Acerbis fender. I like this look a lot!

One of the bikes that passed the stable this year and is allowed to stay for a while: a matte grey Royal Enfield Classic 350. Incredibly fun and classy machine to ride. I blacked the bike out (black seat, chrome delete and black skidplate) but other than that she's stock!

Business has been going great! Better than expected, as I have been working almost non stop this year. Other than detailing, I have also been able to buy and sell about 10 bikes so far. Safe to say: It's been a blast!

We've seen this one before... twice :D! Got another Beta Alp 200 to replace the Honda CRF300L that I sold after our trip to Italy. I have had these bikes before and for local rides and practise, they are the best thing on the market today in my opinion. So light it's a joke, simple engine and mechanics (you can do it all yourself), fun little engine, ... Not a real travel bike of course but who knows when we'll be able to do a big trip again...
Not sure what the future will bring for my own "personal" motorcycles. Being in the business of buying and selling bikes for a living now, I feel that some changes might be so fast I will barely be able to keep up here on the blog. Most of them won't be keepers, and could be sold soon after buying, but who knows, some might be around for a while!

I haven't posted a whole lot this year, and do mean to keep this blog alive with anything bike related. The truth is that I have never had e crazier motorcycle year, all because I have started my own (motorcycle) detailing business. I also sell products to maintain bikes and of course second hand motorcycles (as I have always done, but now professionally). My wife is also starting her own business, a clothing and jewelery brand. So we moved houses in july to be able to accomodate these challenges. By now, the shop is actually starting to look like the real deal!

Best ride of my life so far... without a doubt! This summer, during the European heat wave (40+ degrees Celcius out), we drove our bikes over the southern part of the French Trans Euro Trail, into Italy. What an experience. We had all of our gear on the bikes and camped most nights. To cope with the heat, we were loaded up with water and took every opportunity we could to soak our clothes in water. The toolkits came in handy too as you can see, but in general all bikes (three Honda CRF300L's and one Yamaha T7 Tenere) performed fantastic. The altitude in the Italian Alps made the 300's feel more like 50's though!

Took the Katana to Schwarzwald in Germany. Best roads I ever rode! The first days, the weather worked against us so we checked out the largest clocks in the world. After that, it all cleared up so we were able to have a blast on the bikes! Had a great time.

I am getting married soon so my friends organised a bachelor party. One of the activities was riding these electric dirtbikes on an indoor track with the gang. Good times! 🏍️

Coming real soon: Motodetail 2.0. I decided to kick things up a gear and become fully self employed. I will freelance as a motorcycle salesman and focus on growing my own business Motodetail in a new workshop. I will post updates after moving to the new location in july.

We visited the Sinsheim & Speyer Technik Museum. What a great experience. Anyone interested in anything with an engine, on wheels, tracks, in the water or in the air should visit these two separate museums as soon as they can! 💥
