Fundie Fun - 1.3
It’s been a while since I played - homeschooling yaaaaaay. /s BUT on the bright (heh) side, I figured out how to take screenshots with reShade (well...I’m FIGURING it out, sort of), and I think these ones turned out okay!
Shelley took up a new hobby (primarily bc knitting seems to be messed up in my game?? whatever, it is what it is)...so, CANDLEMAKING. She has the Maker trait, so she needed some kind of, uh, maker-y things to do.
The house is a mess since little Zakariah spends most of his time pooping himself and/or splashing paint everywhere. His imagination skill is coming along nicely, though. He doesn’t have many toys so I guess that makes sense.
When she isn’t making stuff and hanging out with the toddler, Shelley talks Alex’s ear off. They have a pretty good relationship...or so I thought.
TO MY IMMENSE SORROW for some reason the screenshots I took of Alex at the gym didn’t save so you must take my word for it that Nancy Landgraab came on to him, and Alex was very, very cool with that. BAD. BAD ALEX.
Shelley is in her 2nd Trimester...will she ever find out about Alex’s flirting with another woman? Will Alex see the error of his ways? Will I ever figure out how to take nice screenshots?

Fundie Fun - 1.2
With a bigger house and a bigger belly, Shelley has been preparing for the birth of the first little arrow in her husband’s quiver. That sounds much dirtier than it should. Pure thoughts, pure thoughts~
As labor began, Shelley called her friend, that-sheriff’s-wife-from-Strangerville (wtf is her name? whatever, I’m calling her Strangerwife). Strangerwife must have advised her to put on something comfy for the home birth. Unfortunately the Seidlers don’t own a bathtub, so Shelley was limited in the comforts available to her. Thoughts and prayers, I guess.
At last, little Zakariah arrived! It’s important in the first year of life to dedicate lots of time to a new baby, especially if you’re like Shelley and are breastfeeding and your husband is busy rising in the ranks of his cult. So of course.....
Shelley and Alex immediately got to work making number 2!
Romance isn’t dead, though. For Love Day, the couple exchanged gifts - probably essential oils because Shelley has an antivaxxer trait. Of course she does.
These two guys have become good friends with Alex. He’s trying to indoctrinate them and so far they seem open to it. They may be the founding members of the Watcherist Church. Along with Mortimer Goth, they already belong to the Watchmen - Alex’s club for potential church recruits.
Shelley’s friend, Strangerwife, likes to hang around and cook while they chat about the dangers of higher education.
Little Zakariah aged up - what a cutie.

Fundie Fun - new floorplan!
With the Seidler’s family already expanding, I had to upgrade their little house to prepare for all the Seidlings that will be sprouting up in the near future. Loosely - very loosely - inspired by the Duggar house as shown on TLC. This is, like, 1/10th the size of that monstrosity, but give it time.
The first floor didn’t change much - the master bedroom is now part of the main living area and features a very utilitarian staircase.
An upstairs catwalk leads to the new master bedroom and the nursery.
The nursery is pretty small, and will definitely need to be enlarged at some point.
Plenty of room to keep Jesus in the middle.

Fundie Fun - my Duggar-style Sims family
It’s exactly as weird as it sounds
Tune in for the shenanigans of the Seidlers - an aspiring religious leader and his perpetually pregnant wife
I got this idea from reddit actually
I downloaded Lumpinou’s Rambunctious Religions - an incredibly fun mad btw - to make the religious aspect of this playthrough possible. (I use a ton of other mods too...Woohoo Wellness, Slice of Life, Better Babies&Children, etc. etc., thank you TS4 modders for making this game playable)
TW this contains lots of offensive humor I’m sure, and I don’t care, this is literally the laziest “legacy” I’ve ever bothered to post about so expect utter trash

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Seidler, newlyweds, moved onto an empty lot in Newcrest to begin their purpose-driven lives - and that purpose is to bring glory to the Watcher.
Very simple, very small, very brown
They woohoo’d about 7 times in a row as soon as they entered the door.
I didn’t get pictures of that because porn isn’t godly
Shelley Seidler spends her time getting knocked up, reading the Book of Holy, and struggling with domesticity.
This is her garden. At some point it will have to support the growing family. I’m not AWED by it so far, but we’ll see
Alex has been practicing his sermon-giving skills,
though he isn’t HUGELY popular just yet. Needs more hellfire I think.
Shelley announced her pregnancy to Alex at this weirdass bunny party while Mortimer Goth got in an argument with Nancy Richbitch. I’m almost certain Nancy is an MLM hun and Shelley will be shilling essential oils within the week.
Both of my fundies have dark circles under their eyes because they’ve been attending religious gatherings and praying almost nonstop, so that they can be initiated in their cul...I mean, their tax-exempt religious group. Here they are in a rare spare moment, Shelley looking longingly into the distance presumably wondering if “cities” are real or a lie made up by MSM, Alex pretending he’s still in high school and everyone thinks he has So Much Potential.
Shelley: “Oh that’s SO cUtE - he left me a note reminding me that he’s the boss of me, teehee~”
At this point Shelley is well into her pregnancy and all she wants is greasy, cheap food. The Watcher sees all, no matter how sneaky she tries to be.
Alex finally made initiate, even if he doesn’t look thrilled about it - that would be the sleep deprivation. His first day of work as a religious leader is coming up. Shelley’s back hurts, but she doesn’t actually have a spine so she’ll be ok.

So this has been fun to play - a lot more fun than I’ve had in a long time while playing Sims 4. Usually I get overwhelmed by options and underwhelmed by the actual gameplay and mostly play in CAS or build mode, but I’ll be playing this family again to see what they get up to.

A WIP of a dirt terrain replacement. This is just one texture for it, meant for the roughest parts of a terrain map, so it’s the same texture plastered all over the terrain. That isn’t how it will ultimately be, but this is the general feel that I’m going for.
Basically, I’m trying to create a terrain that’s similar to the area where I live, which is arid but not quite desert because we get moisture in the form of snow in the winter. So, there’s lots of patchy scrub and also variations in the dirt color. If it all comes together as I want it to, it’ll be something between a desert and a lush terrain, something I can use for the semi-desert neighborhoods I like to build without having to put down a lot of neighborhood-deco scrub to break up the vegetation-less desert terrain.

“He just did it,” said David Graham, lead AI programmer of the Sims 4. “He just did it and it was a thing one day.”
Though this was originally allowed because EA did not have high expectations for the Sims, and there was public backlash against it, EA has included same-gender relationships in every Sims game since, adding marriage equality in the Sims 3 in 2009.
