Followed by a man kicking his dog in front of us and sending some kind of empathic horror-signal to Lucy. Followed by my daily and increasingly intense bout of Worry for Jonathan who continues to be missing in another country. Which country? I don't know! Still! Sure hope he's not part of the Hot Slaughter Summer queue, ha ha! At least Lucy is doing better with the health and the sleepwalking and whatnot! :) Let's hold onto that one single mote of good news! :)) Surely we can wring a microdrop of positivity out of that! :)))

me rn moving home from college for the summer

I just listened to the entire hamilton soundtrack for the first time in years(it was my homework I love theatre college) and I feel like I’m going insane. I never had a huge hamilton phase but it’s still so weirdly nostalgic it’s crazy. hottest take of all: hamilton’s pretty good

I remember the day my little brother was born (I was almost 3) very clearly but I don’t actually remember anything about him, I only remember running and falling down the stairs on my way out to stay at my aunt and uncle’s house. I also remember that the bed I slept in was really big (probably a twin, but I had a toddler bed). I just think it’s very funny that my earliest memory Is from the day he was born, but he kinda has nothing to do with it!

me when I got asked “what kind of stories do you think there should be more of” as part of a theatre project and I immediately was like friendship!! they are friends and don’t get together in the end and it’s ok!!

Now, I’m not saying romantic relationships are inferior, or that they’re useless, or that you being in one or that you shipping some characters romantically is Bad or something off the walls like that. What I’m saying is that two people (or characters, since we’re talking shipping here) can be just as devoted to each other, love each other just as deeply, mean just as much to each other while being in a platonic relationship. The end point of caring about someone doesn’t have to be romance.

Friendship isn’t a stepping stone between strangers and romantic partners, it’s a different path. And you can follow that path as deep into the wood as a romantic one if you want, and neither is inferior to the other, they just have different views.

oh my gosh in geology the other day we were talking about the eruption of mt st helens and after telling us why it was so destructive and how many people died my professor was like “and it destroyed over 100,000 dollars worth of lumber”(estimating, I don’t remember exactly) and I was just like. why is that the metric we’re using. why was “[however many] miles of forest and ecosystem” not enough to get the point across.
