The unflinching realism the empire kids bring to each other. Beau saying she’s useless and Caleb countering with how he was more useless. Caleb terrified he’s a monster, Beau not saying no but “not yet.” The way both of those responses worked for the other. The somnovum splitting them up in their dreams is the most advantageous thing they could have done because these two together hold each other up by sheer fucking grit.

It was so nice to see so much laughter and conversation man. The happiness and friendship at the table really just remind you of what the mighty nein, and crit role, and honestly what D&D, is all about- love, camaraderie and friendship. Ashley is such a fantastic asset to the group and while she doesn’t push to speak, when she does you know it’s full of purpose. Having friends that make a space for those moments to come is what makes these shows and this game a joy to be apart of.
putting aside the wonderfulness that was beau and yasha finally getting together for just a moment, i would like to say that it was so nice to have uninterrupted rp from ashley who is such a quiet player and whose pc is one of such few words. it warmed my heart to see marisha create that space for her at the table. yasha has such a depth and warmth to her character and a backstory that’s only just barely been peeked at! and it was so nice to see a little bit more of it. i hope that yasha and beau’s relationship will give her more chances to open up like that in the future 🌹
