This is where I talk about what teams and gymnasts I like right? Well, basically all of them. UCLA, USA, Romania, etc. etc.
Also some USWNT/NWSL thrown in every so often.
It’s kinda crazy how lucky I am to be in Seoul right now. I landed on February 24th, right after the big corona boom here. The day I landed was the first day the school I’m working at cancelled all classes. Even before I left, people would ask if I felt safe coming back to Korea...
I literally could not feel any safer. I’m honestly so fucking lucky to now live in a place not run by completely incompetent assholes. Somewhere with people who know how to take some responsibility and actually be effective when faced with a crisis.
I could be ok with UCLA not winning nationals as long as Kyla gets her 40, Grace gets another lead off 10, and everyone in the floor lineup scores a 10. I can be reasonable.
Crazy to think that in two months I’ll be starting a teaching job in Seoul... For a long time I wasn’t even sure I’d get to Korea at all. Now I’ve been twice already and I’m about to move there for (at least) one year.
Yeo Seojeong of South Korea becomes the first women to ever land a Front Handspring Double Twist on vault. This vault if added to the COP would have a D score of 6.0 (x)
The past 24 hours have been... a lot. i didnt sleep at all before my flights and then had really choppy, unsatisfying sleep on my flights, had to walk around hongdae with two huge suitcasses to my place and then carry them up the stairs to the 5th floor...
But I’m back in Seoul, surrounded by gorgeous asian men again and that’s all that matters.
@uclagymnastics: A sweet moment between @katelyn_ohashi and @OfficialMissVal on the last day of practice. Keep an eye out tomorrow for more behind-the-scenes footage from the Bruins’ last practice of the season.
