((Well, its about time I officially state what everyone who follows this blog probably already guessed. Shredsofsaki is on hiatus for the time being. I find that with schoolwork piling on, I only have time for one RP blog for now. Deepest apologies to those I have or have promised threads to -- I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly you found me, and I appreciate your willingness to write with me! Please note that by no means am I dropping this character! I have ideas and inspiration for him -- just no time to get to them. Saki gave the girl a reproachful look. “Very well. But soldiers are valuable. I will not risk this being a waste of time. Demonstrate your abilities upon my Foot Bots.”

They lurked in wait within the room; he knew this. With a firm gesture of his hand, they approached, waspish eyes glowing a deathly red in the looming darkness. The broken circle the robots formed around her was wide, in careful anticipation of her actions.

The moment to comprehend the finer features of this creature came only once the rushing blaze of the hunt had eased, if only slightly so; abruptly he paused, his brow low over his gaze.  The voice was wrong. The words he spoke were wrong. The manner in which he moved was wrong. He may not have even been a 'he' at all. And yet...

Realization came quickly. "You... you are not him. You are not Yoshi." Even more quickly came rage, a boiling, terrible one; his eye flashed fierce with the fire of frustration as his heavy stride brought him close enough to try grabbing for the creature's throat, to try to pin her to the surface of a nearby dumpster. "What is this trickery? Who are you?"

“Who are you? Why are you hunting me?" she says and looked around the dark, she goes into battle mode, she will try to defend herself against was is which lurking around in the dark. *still fear in her voice*

The demonstration began in a chorus of echoing cracks; each bullet reached a target. Each aim yielded a precise shot. Again, an impressive display, one that lit Saki's eyes with the smallest inklings of approval.

Now he had seen enough. He had no more demands here. All that remained now were the terms of their alliance. This creature was an outsider. Their trust was stretched thin. Conditions must be set.

As the boy approached, Saki rose, his posture stiff and tall, but he did not make to descend the stairway before it; instead, he paced just beyond the foot of his throne, across the dully gleaming shelf of steel before the windows towering behind it, his arms entwined behind his back.

"You have proven your potential as a soldier," he said; his tone was as even as it was before the two had met. "You are not a common initiate. I do not expect that your services have no price. What compels you to approach me? What are your terms?"

A pause, one that stopped Saki in mid-stride. A powerful being such as this was worth a name. At this, he eyed the boy sharply as he added, "what are you called?"

It could be no one else. The shape was distinct, unmistakable. All thought was abandoned, his destination, his purpose; he followed the shadow into the darkness, paying no heed to caution or plotting.

"Sniveling in the dark befits you, rodent," said he, and his tone was that of hateful scorn as his claws slid, glinting, from the gauntlet that hid them. "Fitting that you meet your end in the rotten crevices in which you hide."

Splintija walking through a dark alley, she has a feeling that she was not alone, she was filled with fear of being alone in the dark. ”Who’s there?” she said with a shaking voice. * Fear *

Barely had these wooden targets been set upon the floor and his men disappeared when they were decimated; the flayed splinters of wood, both painted and bare, scattered the floor as jagged flakes. The single closest target lay in shattered, torn halves before his throne. The stiff stare of the creature portrayed a determination. A deadly focus. This creature had proven its value.

But Saki would say no such thing. Not until he has seen all. He gave little more than a dip of his head to acknowledge the task's completion.

He rose his hand. The same gesture. The same reaction. The shadows came. In their wake, they left targets.Again, they dissapeared.

"Your guns," he said. "Demonstrate your precision."
