What is “By the Order of the Gods?” (An introduction)

By the Order of the Gods is an upcoming Greek mythology inspired visual novel video series by me! Heavily inspired by Percy Jackson and the format of Epithet Erased!!!

By the Order of the Gods is a series in which the modern Iron Age of mortals is interrupted by a prophecy drawn out by the fates in which 5 demigods will come to roam the earth as heroes.

The story follows 5 demigod teenagers embarking on an adventure to prove their worthiness to the gods that they can become the heroes they are destined to be, along with their trials and tribulations along the way.

Along with an interesting storyline, as a Hellenic polytheist myself, I intend to write the gods and their stories with utmost care and respect (looking at you pjo)

I highly recommend staying in tune for more if you’re interested in Greek mythology and hellenic polytheism!! I am currently working on character sprites and getting everything ready for the first chapter.

as an aphrodite devotee it bothers me when ppl call her the goddess of war bc… yes she is predominantly responsible for the Trojan war and has a warlike epithet and has war correspondencies… but most greeks didn’t rly consider her to be THE goddess of war. even if she was considered a war goddess in some areas (ex: Sparta) she wasn’t necessarily given the title of the goddess of war, and also keep in mind this was only in certain regions of ancient greece. if you take a look at the Iliad it’ll tell you the opposite 😭 like zeus tells her to stay away from the fighting bc she’s a love and beauty goddess and fighting isn’t her domain. I love aphrodite areia y’all but she isn’t the goddess of war even if she was considered a war goddess. acknowledging and respecting Aphrodite’s warlike qualities is totally valid but do not generalize her as the goddess of war bc its just inaccurate tbh.
