@shenjiuweek day 6 : Daylily.
i’m not familiar with daylily, when i googled them, it said that “flowers last no more than 24 hours”. Thus i was thinking about something short-lived like “first love”. And here’s two panels comic stemming from that idea.
Again, i plan to refine flowers on this pic to be close enough with actual daylilies, but after i finish all prompts. It won’t be that long, two more to go!

Shen Jiu in hanahaki disease.
Albeit it’s designed week already over, i plan to draw all prompts, because i love all those flower prompts. So expect more drawings from me hahaha. For this pic i’m using this brush for lineart, chrysanthemum, and [1], [2] for effects. I love CSP.

This story is a story about a wounded boy, who became a man, who committed atrocities in the name of his broken heart.
This is a story about a white flower, who turned into a black flower, but was destined to wither, shed its petals, and rebloom.
More importantly, this is a story about how a scum hero met an evil flower, and fell punch drunk in love!
Note: Written in the style of the Scum Villain novel, but set in Proud Immortal Demon Way, right after Bingge and Bingmei (temporarily) switched worlds, and fought in the bamboo forests of Qing Jing Peak.
Silliness and mistaken identities abound. Slow burn.

Three years after Luo Binghe falls into the Endless Abyss, Shen Qingqiu is reminded that even he - scum that he is - still has a heart capable of feeling.
The voice that catches him unaware is the very one that has haunted those dreams that Shen Qingqiu has not been having. Yet it’s darker, deeper, and laced with a cruel sliver of amusement that makes all the fine hairs on his limbs stand on end.
“It’s been too long, Shizun.”
Pairing: Original Luo Binghe (Bingge) / Original Shen Qingqiu (Shen Jiu)
Rating: Gen
Warnings: Shizun gets pinned against the wall by the neck for a hot minute, but other than that, good clean fun.

If you put them on vases, orchids has longer span to looking fresh, it can be more than two weeks. For comparison: roses will be withered around 3 days. That’s where my fanart idea stems, i think of ShenJiu as orchids. Hard to please, super vain, but surprisingly resilient on misfortune.

Summary: Tales of the scum disciple, Shen Jiu.
SJ seeks to cultivate at Cang Qiong Peak, but is thwarted by an arrogant Bai Zhan disciple.
Excerpt:
All warfare is based on deception.
Shen Jiu sits before the Twelve Peak Lords in seiza, fan at his belt and sword just beneath it. With his two weapons sheathed, he wields a third: a polite and becoming smile, suitably modest, and explains his origins (or at least how he has imagined them), swindled by a criminal cultivator and robbed of his family and fortunes.
Some details are fudged, others are glossed over. But by the end of his tragic tale, he has pulled away, voice cracking.
“Excuse me,” he murmurs. The Peak Lords are quick to avert their eyes, sparing Shen Jiu from losing face.
It’s easy enough to play the victim: He is one. The world has robbed so much from him, after all! True, it is only fair that he steals from it in return.
His heart simmers as Yue Qi says, “Unusual circumstances aside, this disciple will vouch for Shen Jiu.”
I’d rather you die.
