Takes your coat and puts it away for you, even in public. Especially if you’re at a fancy restaurant, he helps you remove your coat first, setting it on the back of the chair before taking care of his.

Comes to pick you up whenever you call gladly, at every hour of the day or night.

Also!! Likes to surprise you at the end of the day and come pick you up from work with your favorite treat and drink, sporting the biggest smile.

When away and he learns you’re having a bad day, orders flowers and dinner to your house for a quick pick me up.

Walks you home after every date or hang out, holding your hand tightly all the way there as you’re talking and laughing your worries away, just enjoying the other’s company.

Leaves sticky notes all over your house with cute, motivational messages and drawings to remind you how much he loves and misses you when he’s away on tour.

Jisung does the best job of validating your feelings, trying his best to understand what you’re feeling and going through in every situation.

Opens the car door for you when you have to get in, and when you have to get out. Another one that will fight if you try to get out by yourself.

Has a section in his journal just for you, a place in his schedule dedicated to spending time with the love of his life every day. He incorporated it when you first started dating and even though it isn’t something he needs reminders for, he keeps it just to see when he can go and see you when his work gets crazy.

Buys the prettiest flowers for your mom every time you take him along to visit your parents, charming them with his sweet smile and kind nature.

If you’re out somewhere with him and you tell him you want to go home, he’s taking you home no questions asked! Your comfort is above everyone else’s.

Pulls you in his lap and hugs you tightly when you’re watching a sport he likes that you don’t understand, patiently explaining the rules and whatever the players are doing without caring about the fact that he’s missing the game.

Seungmin doesn’t hesitate to reach out and wipe away any crumbs or food from your lips with his hand, careful to not ruin your makeup if you’re wearing any.

No matter where you are, he stops what he’s doing and leans down to tie your shoes for you if he notices your shoelaces have come undone. Also takes them off after a tiring day, delicate fingers holding your ankle with utmost care.

Always gets stuff for you from high places with minimal teasing.

Jeongin will surprise you with breakfast in bed before an important day or for your birthday, wanting to make sure you’re starting the day in the best way possible.

Holds you close when it’s raining, carrying the umbrella to make sure not even a drop of rain touches you, not caring if he’s the one getting wet in the process. Does everything in his power to make sure you won’t get sick.

His eyes are on you at all times in public so, if he notices you’ve found yourself in an uncomfortable situation, he marches over and pulls you away without a word, not caring about what other people might think.

oh em gee happy 1yr to my first fic ever

study with me !! - k.s.

pairing: kim seungmin x fem! reader

warnings: mentions of food, first thing i write on here so plz bare w me, no editing </3

synopsis: studying with your best friend and crush, kim seungmin, was a pretty common occurrence

[y/n] was pretty sure that kim seungmin was the best study buddy she could’ve ever asked for.

he was the only person in their friend group that actually made [y/n] study. it was thanks to him that she was ahead of her coursework and had little to no questions about the stupid engineering calculus class they were both taking. seungmin made sure that she was using her time wisely and not wasting his. he had forced her to color code her notes and format her reviews; she owed all her academic efficiency to him forcing her to be organized. seungmin was also her best friend, so he wasn’t afraid to be honest and keep her on track with snarky remarks and eyerolls.

studying together happened so often that it became a part of both their routines. [y/n] would walk to the library after class, and seungmin would wait for her with a pastry and her favorite coffee drink. they would spend about three hours there; two where they actually studied and the remaining time was spent by seungmin scolding her for using her phone before “break time”. everything flowed smoothly and [y/n]’s grades were improving greatly. unfortunately, [y/n] had started to feel a little…weird during their study sessions.

by midterm season, [y/n] concluded that she absolutely, 100%, with no shadow of a doubt, needed a new study partner.

if she was being honest, no studying was being done in the bi-weekly sessions she had with her best friend. she was too distracted to do so. studying next to kim seungmin was almost harder than the calculus problems you were solving. the amount of times she had forgotten the quotient rule formula after his hand brushed against hers on the table was borderline embarrassing.

[y/n] had truly been trying her hardest to not feel this way. friendships were supposed to be platonic, she knew that much. that was like, the number one rule of friendships, right? platonic because you’re supposed to be friends and nothing else. and people aren’t supposed to want to hold hands with their friends. or wonder how it would feel to kiss them on the lips. or plan little dates with them while not paying attention in class. but no matter how hard she willed her feelings to go away, it didn’t work.

in all honesty, she wanted her friendship to go back to normal; to be able to act and feel normal around seungmin. she didn’t want to be spacing out at the library as she thought about how it would feel to intertwine her fingers with his, or how his lips would feel against her temple. she didn’t want her heart to be beating so fast at how close he was-

“are you even paying attention?” seungmin asked, bringing you back from her daydream. he rolled his eyes. “this is why you’re struggling in this class.”

“shut up.” [y/n] frowned, swatting his arm. “maybe you’re just a bad tutor!”

he laughed. he laughed. and it was something he did around her all the time, but this time it managed to make her stomach flip.

“no, you’re just a bad student.” seungmin erased the problem he had been trying to explain. “what are you even thinking about? you look like a lovesick puppy.”

at his words, [y/n] straightened up. “no i don’t.”

“oh, no. is this about changbin hyung again? i thought we had a talk about that already-“

“what?! no!”

“seriously, [y/n]-“

“i said he was cute once.”

“i thought i told you it was a bad idea to like someone within the friend group. and you agreed.”

“minnie.”

“this serial crushing thing has to stop, [y/n], it really gives me whiplash-”

“let it be, kim seungmin!” she huffed.

“fine.” he rolled his eyes once more. “you’re so rude.”

“and you still love me..” [y/n] stuck her tongue out, making him scoff.

“whatever.” seugmin looked at her for a split second, quickly shifting his eyes away from her and back to the gigantic textbook in front of them. “so you don’t like changbin.”

“no,” she rolled her eyes, “get back to work.”

“okay, good…he’s not your type anyway.”

“i don’t have a type.”

“everyone has a type!”

“what’s mine then? you seem to know more than i do.”

“not changbin.”

“what does that even mean-”

“nothing, just get back to the homework, you have formulas to memorize.”

[y/n] frowned and got back to work, trying her best to pay attention to how seungmin was solving the problem. her mind kept gravitating back to their bickering. how seungmin’s ears were just a bit red when he asked her about their friend. how he was so insistent on you not having a thing for changbin. she thought that maybe, just maybe, seumgmin liked her back. maybe he also struggled to keep his composure when she smiled at him. maybe he was also thinking about holding her hand and kissing her cheek.

maybe, maybe, maybe. [y/n] shut down her own thoughts, it would be cruel to give herself false hope. so she decided that she’d never know, because she’d never ask.
