For the heck of it
I read through the requirements and application process for a PhD at a damn fine Ivy League university- , not my present one. There’s a section devoted to telling my story of my struggles and how that has shaped me. I’m fucking serious. So I’m writing “I was fairly dim and pleasantly lit throughout most of my formal schooling and that definitely interfered with my ability to earn better grades. Plus I got “invited to not return” to my first college because I was too cool for those lame-o’s.

I’m pretty familiar with Tavistock having caddied there as a kid - not a member, it was the 60’s and Irish need not apply.
As I recall the town was founded to escape the Blue Laws extant in Haddonfield at the time (1930’s?)that prohibited playing sports on Sunday.
One of the best links courses in the world is in SoJay and when I lived in The Jerz it was surrounded by a fence and had a municipal police force that kept the unwashed, meth fueled Pineys away from the golf elite. It’s called Pine Valley, if you’re a golfer yes it is that amazing. And no I didn’t caddy there. Guess they needed the greens fees.
