I'm just a little perplexed and amused about the number of lesbians that come on here, dedicate their blog to advocating for real lesbians, and then promptly dip out within two to eight months.

I randomly just thought about this movie starring Björk in which she's this blind woman that's falsely accused of murder. I came across it at 2 am while channel surfing way back when I was like in middle school. And it moved me to tears but also had me questioning why in tf it was a musical.

My hair is growing down my back again and I'm thrilled. I've successfully gone natural, but got it straightened today just to see the true length and give it a break from the braids.

I stand with all lesbians. That includes white lesbians. Why am I making this statement? I'm honestly too lazy to specify the details that inspired me to write this post but I can share a couple reasons why. First, I noticed any interactions I have with people who dislike the term "gold star lesbian," try and detract from the conversation by treating me like I'm a white person that comes from privilege. This has manifested itself by comments including "gold star lesbians are like the KKK/nazis/aryan." Most of these extremist comments come from TRAs and troons. However, there have been problematic comments from radfems toward myself and other woc gsl. These comments include "gsl promote violence," "gsl are racist," or the famous one "gsl are misogynistic." In the case of radfems they say this expecting that they're talking to a white lesbian. I know that's the case because I've had a radfem cry about racism and when I set them straight that the person they're talking to is not white and indeed a woc, they denied denied denied. Screenshots of this incident are somewhere in my blog. This is one case I shared but I've also witnessed something similar elsewhere. Maybe this is going to be controversial but I stand by ALL actual lesbians. I'd never discredit the homophobia and misogyny they deal with just because they're white and supposedly more 'privileged.' I don't necessarily agree with that last part either. Most lesbians I've talked to come from poor to low-middle class families. Irregardless of race, many have been targets for bullies and hate because they're homosexual. Being a lesbian can be a very isolating experience and hard on our mental health. This is even harder because people love to encroach on the boundaries of actual lesbians. My point is white lesbians have a lot to lose by speaking up for actual lesbians. Don't stop because other lesbians will be here to defend you. Ofc do the same for black, asian, hispanic, etc lesbians <3

Both feminists and genderists have a real talent for making every conversation about them. That's what identity politics is all about: me me me!

Yes, the violence and harassment women commit against other women (and in general) needs to stop being overlooked and denied. Feminists have done women a disservice by pretending like we aren't capable of wrongdoing.

However, goodness gracious the gender theory is strong in that one. While it's very true that no female-only space is guaranteed to be safe, the implication that a mixed space (including males, and trans-identified males more specifically) in which there are "clear, universally applied rules of conduct and accountability" is automatically better comes off as an attempt to criticize women's desire for "afab"-only spaces. I do not and cannot trust every woman just on the nature of us both being women, but I never will feel comfortable in the presence of a man who claims to be a lesbian, for example.

Turning an important discussion about women harming other women into a promotion for spaces that aren't " 100% cis" doesn't sit right with me. Feels insidious. "These terfs may want women-only spaces, but women hurt other women too" is not the angle that should be taken when discussing female-on-female violence.

Gender koolaid indeed because they must be sipping on it.

The way people will take someone's introversion personally is infuriating. Like your problems with me are not my problems. I don't have to be a social butterfly just because that makes you comfortable. Learn how to mind your business and not fill every moment of silence with your endless blabbering before telling me that I'm too quiet.

I always get a chuckle out of some Christians not being aware of the fact that wars has been waged in the name of their religion.

Women have to go through hell and high water to get their tubes tied or a hysterectomy because they don't want children. But if we say we don't want to be a woman anymore, then we can get whatever surgery we want.

Relying on political party affiliation to determine whether or not someone is ignorant, immoral or dangerous is foolish and incredibly short-sighted.
