Fiddling with the box as big as my torso, I wait outside Ramshackle for Tsunatorou to show up.
The moment he shows up in a flash of green sparkles. I tried my hardest to present him the gift.
"Glad you're here! I was thinking of handing you chocolate at first but it's too generic. So... i went shopping at a store and I found something better!"
I wait until he opens the box to reveal a chocolate fountain but the towers were dark red and it had a chocolate-colored gargoyle holding a bright red heart on top.
Upon closer inspection, the gargoyle acted as a spout for the chocolate to flow through.
"You always said you liked things that are functional instead of just decor so I found this gargoyle chocolate fountain... on sale too! Sweets are nice but it's better to share them with others."
I just stand there, unsure of how he'd react to such an odd gift.
Aww, this was sweet 🥺 and it made me crave fondue—

“This is…”
Malleus regarded the chocolate fountain with a curious look, a finger tucked against his chin. Though his noble face retained its calm, his pupils had dilated ever so slightly. Surprised, tentative.
His eyes were brighter than usual, twinkling with unspoken wonder. It was as if the stars were shining through them, and he was the darkness in which they were contained.
Malleus took in every last inch and curve of the glorious fountain. It was deep red and seven tiers tall, rivaling even his massive height, and sat on a stout base with a knob to control the heat settings.
More importantly, his attention was attracted to the intricate craftsmanship of its crowning jewel—the gargoyle nesting at the top, wings splayed out and jaw gaping, a spout protruding from the back of its throat. Clutched securely in its claws was a big heart, its greatest treasure.
Glowing with appreciation, the fairy pulled his lips back into a slight smirk.
“Fufu, I see. I was on your mind, so you thought to prepare an personalized offering to celebrate your human holiday.” He smiled fully, his teeth luminous in the moonlight, opal ringing the emerald color of his irises. For once, not a monster, but just a simple kid in a candy store.
“I cannot fathom why this charming gargoyle was not sooner claimed by another. He has a very winsome expression,” Malleus cooed. “It is a gift well chosen, child of man. As you wish, I humbly accept this as a token of your goodwill. I will be certain to give him a happy home and a fulfilling life of much use.”
A corner to his mouth lifted crookedly, his tone turning mischievous. “I could not have said it better myself. Sweets are best enjoyed when shared with company. It is for this reason that I request that you join me for an evening of chocolate fondue.”
You startled, your apprehension having been chased away in favor of astonishment. For all that time you had mulled over the present, you hadn’t expected it to be this well-received.
“Come now, you need not be hesitant,” Malleus purred, the soft roil of thunder in his voice. “This comes not from the dorm leader of Diasomnia nor the prince of Briar Valley, but from your… friend.”
The word tasted foreign on his tongue, but it was as sweet as any candy.
He extended a hand, the twinkle in his eye now as clear as a bell ringing in the silent night. “You would not dare think of turning down my heartfelt invitation, correct?”

Random headcanons of the Protagonists talking on what Avatar’s name if they would duel in Yusaku’s VR world with Yusaku have no knowledge yet behind those usernames or looks. Judai and Yuma being those “kids” loves to be suspicious on Yusaku’s Avatar. Yusei, being mature as usual, Yami being kinda slow on new modern things (until he learns it) and Yuya being a fun cinnamon bun angel…or maybe not~. ( and I made him too adorable here AAAH!! ).

When Reiji said on Zarc smiling with Reira when the baby is laughing, I am imagining the shadow of Original Zarc standing nearby with his baby version in Yuya’s form in his arms, smiling since his soul is still sealed in Reira.
He will be waiting and can’t wait to return to Yuya, who is his other self <3~

Yusei: Definitely not a girl’s way for confession or expressing their feelings.
Yuya: Perhaps not, but it sounded so….adorable in some way. *blushes*
