before this account, i was a bit uncomfortable with writing self inserts for myself, though i’m not completely sure why? i don’t think it’s a bad thing to do, i just couldn’t bring myself to do it. maybe it’s due to like… feeling like i don’t… fit. however, i do have a few DR OCs that are basically minimalized personas of myself, and i’d love to explain them!

Chidori Arita: if any phrase could make you understand her easiest, it’d probably be “grew too quickly”. she’s a character that’s been through far too much emotional trauma, but she hides that fact fairly well. she knows how to hold her composure, the only thing that might make her snap is mentions or upbringing of her past. she manages to keep a smile on her face, though it’s almost never forced. being around the people that mean the most to her is all that she could ask for, so if this is what happiness she can get, she takes it as the best happiness she could ever receive, and she’d never take advantage of this happiness.

Temari Tachibana: she’s an angel and that’s just the tea folks! she’s a very happy go lucky girl, to the point where it annoys some people. she relies heavily on social interaction with others, though predominantly the ones who are able to handle her. she’s a bit useless in moments of desperation, seeing as she will completely block out negativity and anything that might hurt her, due to her fear of getting sad. it seems that she rejects the idea of death, and she convinces herself that it’s a thing that people are incapable of doing, no matter how ignorant and coy that may be. she cannot bring herself to believe that one day, she’ll lose the people she cares about, and that they’ll lose her.

Kazu Uchida: if you’re into those asshole characters with soft spots for people, you’d love this shit head. he’s the definition of a prick, but he really does care. he grew to be this way because of his background, having to protect himself and the people that care about him. not that anybody but his twin knows this, but he genuinely is a nice guy when you get him alone. certain situations just push him over the edge and he can’t control the way he behaves under stress. he tends to be an asshole to other characters and the only reason being he doesn’t know who’s going to strike. but in the same breath, he’ll turn around and defend someone with his life if theirs is being threatened. as much as he hates showing it, he has lots of love for every classmate of his, with the exception of one.

Chuuya Uchida: if you’re into softies, much like i, you’re gonna love THIS sweet pea. he’s someone who’s always been defended, and felt terrible about having to be defended. having grown up in the same environment as kazu, he’s seen the bad things that could happen, but instead of taking the route kazu did, he decided to be someone nobody could bring themselves to be mean to. while this sounds off, he is the most genuine person you’ll ever meet, and has so much love for everyone, even the people he shouldn’t. he’s able to ease even the worst tempers with just a touch on the shoulder, and able to cheer up the saddest people.

Shari: my most intricate oc by far. she’s pretty much emotionally numb, feeling any emotion at a minuscule level. she can’t even feel annoyance over this fact because of it. due to her obliviousness regarding emotions, she often says things that can be considered insensitive or rude, though that is never her intention. she wishes the best for people, as jealous as she is of them. she knows the importance of sacrifice, having that lesson drilled in her head since she was just a few years old. because of this, though, she grew to think that she was never as important as the rest and that sacrificing herself for the sake of her peers was both okay and expected of her.

i have another oc, though i don’t really have a name figured out for him yet! he’s got to be my least favorite though, since he’s just… gross. if you’d like any more information on any of them, feel free to ask! i love love love them and every one of them truly do delve into different parts of myself, so you’d learn more about me as you learn about them, kinda? yeah! hoped this entertained you!
